Toom Tam takes off his shirt for Attitude Magazine

Toom Tam fan girls proceed to scream, he has taken off his shirt for Attitude Magazine for their December 2011 cover. He is a good looking kid, 20 years old, rose to fame by winning the Star singing contest their 7th season last year. He is Toom Tam: The Star 7.

To be honest, I have not taken notice of him until of late because usually I don’t watch or follow reality show base singing contests– Thai or American. Yes, I’m not a fan of America Idol or like shows. When he was crowned the winner of The Star 7, I was like ‘oh…good…good looking kid, pra’ek material.’

He can sing. He has a lot of appeal, his personality on screen, his singing abilities, his looks. Kid has potential for lakorns, as a good looking arrogant leading man in some sort of slap and kiss genre or the righteous/ do-gooder  pra’ek from a poverty stricken background who climbs his way to the top of corporate world and at some point gets slap by nang’ek. You know how it goes in lakorns. I see a lot of appeal in this young lad.

Behind the scenes look at his photoshoot.

Toom Tam introduces himself.

”Hello, I’m Toom Tam: the Star 7. Today, I’m doing a photo shoot for Attitude. It’s been very enjoyable. It’s like a different style, a different type of work for me. Before…I usually did…I usually don’t accept this type of work. It’s a little sexy. It’s a new viewpoint, a new look. This photo shoot has been fun and very cold.’

Insert dorky chuckle now. At this point, you can’t really look at him as being sexy. The chuckle killed it for me.

I like the navy hoodie jacket, not liking the shorts–it’s like a hobo painter shorts. ? Why?

Some of the pants are too shiny like a plastic garbage bag type of shiny. I do like the hoodie jackets and the trench coat minus the hat and weird looking pants.

Toom Tam’s MV for his song ‘Ter Ma Ha Wayla Ngao (You only come when you’re lonely)’–it’s a depressing song from the guy’s point of point of view, he likes a girl and she only sees him as a ‘friend’. She confides in him about her relationship problems and it gives him hope, but she doesn’t like him.

The beginning parts of the lyrics:

‘It’s so painful it’s unbearable.
I know it can’t go further than this.
Why do I love you, when I know you have him.

It was wrong because we were close.
And you chose to confide in me about him
Whenever you fought, you only came when you were lonely
Did you know it was giving me hope

I hate myself that I was weak, that I carelessly loved you.
I loved you intensely that I can’t delete you from my heart.
We can only go this far because you still belong to someone else. ‘

It’s okay guy, you’re good looking,  I’m sure you won’t be lonely for too long. You’ll find someone else. High five!

At the beginning, she says:’Why doesn’t he care about my feelings?’
He doesn’t answer her and wipes her tear away with his thumb.

‘If only he was half as good as you, it would be better.’

Errr….cough…I think you need to dump that terrible boyfriend of yours and get with Toom Tam. There, problem solved! But you won’t and will reconcile with the boyfriend.
