And has been dropped from two lakorns ‘Porn Prom Onlaweng (Chaotic Blessing)’ and the ’Suparburoot Jutathep’ series. ‘Waew Mayura’ was deemed a failure with an average TV ratings of 6.05. The script writer, nor director, nor the producer is blamed for the failure of this lakorn, the main actress Marie Broenner is. She is blamed for the poor ratings and for dragging Boy Pakorn down with her–devaluing his ranking.
Marie blames lack of chemistry for their failure.
‘I think people can differentiate between two individuals…how the nang’ek is acting…how the pra’ek is acting. If P’Boy stars with a new person and the ratings follow, which means when we work together we don’t have chemistry. The viewers are not into it. Maybe they are used to someone else. When I first heard about it and read the comments, I was disappointed. You have to choose to accept it. You have to choose and decide which one is rational, where did I go wrong and to improve. It’s better than keeping it all bottled up.’
‘As for being dropped from the lakorns, it’s because of the feedback. This series was an important one. If the feedback for the pranang is terrible, why would the producer take a gamble, so I was dropped. I will improve in a new lakorn. I don’t feel disappointed. It was the decision by the executives, I trust P’Tu Piyawadee (Maleenont). When she dropped me, she probably believes that if I starred in ’Porn Prom Onlaweng (Chaotic Blessing)’ it would not be better. It will make it worst.’
‘I have known all along with ’Suparburoot Jutathep’, it had to do with a queuing conflict. They did not start filming yet. They wanted a schedule for acting lessons beforehand. I study as I go. After ’Waew Mayura’ had ended, I have ‘Duay Ruk Khun Tao Fah’. My schedule conflicted with their acting workshop. Even though I was removed from two lakorns, I don’t think much of it. I consider it a good thing. I think that if a lakorn doesn’t suit me or my scheduling doesn’t match theirs, I would have to force myself to go causing the project to have bad results.’
Another reason why Marie was removed from two lakorns was that she was unprofessional, undisciplined onset. Marie accepts the charges against her.
‘I accept ka. There was a time when I was too relaxed on set. I felt like it was a fun hangout with friends, I felt at ease like we all became a family.’
‘I soon realized that was not the case when someone told me harshly that I had no discipline, I was a terrible kid, not lovable. After that, I adjusted myself. I improved well to even the executives noted my fast improvements. But typically in the news, if you amend something and it has gotten better, they don’t report it. Just follow up on my next project. I assure you it will be better.’
Thai netizens at Manager news website rallied for Marie, they don’t blame her–the blame the plot, the script writer, the producer for the failure of ’Waew Mayura’. The plot makes it unwatchable according to some. I agree. The producer and the director should cushioned some of the blame some argued. I agree again.

lmao… it is definitely not the storyline. i liked it. i just didn’t like the lack of chemistry. never saw it in the 3 golden men. its not Marie’s fault either. it just didn’t appeal to a lot of people in Thailand. plus ch3 lakorns are well known for lower ratings. i don’t know why people are tripping over the ratings anyways. lol i didn’t know khun seuk had low ratings either. that deserves its rating lol
Khun Seuk isn’t the only lakorn that has lower ratings even with an all star cast. Buang’s rating is lower then Waew Mayura as well. Mae Yai Tee Rak rating was below 6 but Pream didn’t get pulled from any projects either. As for the lack of chemistry, there are other couples who lack that but they still get cast together. They both didn’t have the chemistry but it’s pretty unfair that she’s the only one who got blamed. However it is easier to blame her because she’s the newbie and Boy is so popular. They don’t want to blame the producer either since her previous lakorn which is also her first lakorn did so well with ratings that they most likely believe that she’s too skilled to have a flopped lakorn. She was the one who chose Boy and Marie because she liked their chemistry in 3NNT. Well whatever, she is the producer so she can get away with this. Even though I’m not a big fan of Marie but what was done to her is pretty unfair so I am going to boycott Khun Tu’s production.
What?! Marie is amazing.. She’s still new they should at least have her practice more. I don’t blame her, she’s new and her thai isn’t as good. I’ve seen lots of Newbies struggle too.. I never knew Yaya worked since 2008 and now she’s one of the top n’eks. Therefore every newbie will improve as time goes
Thank you lord
WTFFFFFF?! that is so very unfair! i love marie’s work i think n know that she is a good actress and she tries her best at her job. it’s not her fault for the failure its just people’s personal opinion n maybe it was some of the crew’s fault for the failure. Marie is a good person and actress and she is a shy and quiet person whom doesnt really talk much to people she doesnt really know.
I will ALWAYS SUPPORT Marie Broenner no matter what.
I do think that Marie n P’Boy has chemistry because look at the 3 Golden Men, you can tell/see the Chemistry between P’Boy and Marie, they also work well together n look cute together.
Wtf it’s just that she’s a new actor so she got no fans yet
I actually really liked the lakorn, i thought their chemistry was great!
Wow that was ridiculously unfair for putting all the blame to her. But, her taking the blame and not pointing fingers show a lot about her. Very pretty girl
I liked this lakorn! couldn’t wait til it aired on the weekends. her acting skills has improved since 3NNT. her voice has toned down some. the storyline was okay. i liked the bickering and the way Boy looks at her. so cute!
She did land on lead role way too early and way too easy. Some people it took them years to earn the lead role. That being said, i don’t think it’s her fault the lakorn was a failure. People always like pointing fingers, and in this case, unfortunately she got the end of the stick and carried all blame due to the criticism she received during the airing, so it’s easy for them to just shipped it to her.
The rating is only a tiny bit lower then khun seuk, so who is to blame for that failure?
I think that both side is to blame. Marie’s job is to bring the story to life. But if the story line is not good, you can’t blame the actor and actress alone. She still have time to improve. Most notable actors started from the bottom up.
i actually love Waew Mayura. I thought her acting in there was good and she improved. She and
Boy did have chemistry in there. It was better than their chemistry in 3nnt.She shouldn’t be the
blame for the failure of this lakorn. Stupid. if they think about it ch3′s lakorns ratings aren’t
even high.
wow, that’s a big step of her accepting the blame for the failure of this lakorn.
I believe she will improve!!! su su na ka! prove them wrong.
i don’t think she’s that pretty. is she supposed to be mixed because she doesn’t look like it? she’s not my cup of tea for nang’ek choices, but there are worse actors out there like poo praiya oh lord. i tried the first few mins of the lakorn and just wasn’t into it, so i blame the people behind the lakorn. and how come they didn’t blame the person who chose her?
she didn’t take her job seriously because the lead was given to her too easily or acting is not her passion.
Marie is half German and half Thai.
i’m sorry but i will have to disagree with you about the part where she didn’t take her job seriously. i do think that marie takes her job seriously and its probably b/c she’s nervous i mean Marie is a shy and quiet person in real life.
Thats unfair to blame Marie. I think she did her best, I can tell that she improved from 3NNT. Her acting was good, there was nothing wrong with the chemistry. Just that the story itself was not interesting. But the good thing about Marie is that she is not afraid to be honest, and taking her share of the blame. But its unfair to put it all on her.
Marie is pretty. Although I don’t like they way she acts, from her very first lakorn, I believe she still has time to improve. I’m not a fan of hers but i know she can do it if she’s willing to change the way she acts and etc.
I like how she’s willing to accept everything as her fault and what not. She’s being responsible for some things that aren’t really her fault.
