The script writer, nor director, nor the producer is blamed for the failure of this lakorn, the main actress Marie Broenner is. She is blamed for the poor ratings and for dragging Boy Pakorn down with her–devaluing his ranking.
Marie blames lack of chemistry for their failure.
‘I think people can differentiate between two individuals…how the nang’ek is acting…how the pra’ek is acting. If P’Boy stars with a new person and the ratings follow, which means when we work together we don’t have chemistry. The viewers are not into it. Maybe they are used to someone else. When I first heard about it and read the comments, I was disappointed. You have to choose to accept it. You have to choose and decide which one is rational, where did I go wrong and to improve. It’s better than keeping it all bottled up.’
‘As for being dropped from the lakorns, it’s because of the feedback. This series was an important one. If the feedback for the pranang is terrible, why would the producer take a gamble, so I was dropped. I will improve in a new lakorn. I don’t feel disappointed. It was the decision by the executives, I trust P’Tu Piyawadee (Maleenont). When she dropped me, she probably believes that if I starred in ’Porn Prom Onlaweng (Chaotic Blessing)’ it would not be better. It will make it worst.’
‘I have known all along with ’Suparburoot Jutathep’, it had to do with a queuing conflict. They did not start filming yet. They wanted a schedule for acting lessons beforehand. I study as I go. After ’Waew Mayura’ had ended, I have ‘Duay Ruk Khun Tao Fah’. My schedule conflicted with their acting workshop. Even though I was removed from two lakorns, I don’t think much of it. I consider it a good thing. I think that if a lakorn doesn’t suit me or my scheduling doesn’t match theirs, I would have to force myself to go causing the project to have bad results.’
Another reason why Marie was removed from two lakorns was that she was unprofessional, undisciplined onset. Marie accepts the charges against her.
‘I accept ka. There was a time when I was too relaxed on set. I felt like it was a fun hangout with friends, I felt at ease like we all became a family.’
‘I soon realized that was not the case when someone told me harshly that I had no discipline, I was a terrible kid, not lovable. After that, I adjusted myself. I improved well to even the executives noted my fast improvements. But typically in the news, if you amend something and it has gotten better, they don’t report it. Just follow up on my next project. I assure you it will be better.’
Thai netizens at Manager news website rallied for Marie, they don’t blame her–the blame the plot, the script writer, the producer for the failure of ’Waew Mayura’. The plot makes it unwatchable according to some. I agree. The producer and the director should cushioned some of the blame some argued. I agree again.

I love Waew Mayura. I thought it was a really great lakorn. The chemistry and love that boy & Marie had was really well played. It should be the script to be blamed because when I look at Waew in the lakorn, I treasured her acting. It was good and didn’t seem to be off.
Didn’t this lakorn end with a rating of 9? Isn’t that considered kind of high for a Ch. 3 lakorn? If so, then how would this lakorn be considered a failure? Especially since most of Ch.3 lakorns usually range within the 6-8 range for ratings anyway.

Her acting totally got better throughout the lakorn and she and Boy has some sparks. I don’t see why people are complaining, the lakorn was decent.
Firstly, I don’t think this lakorn is considered a “fail”. Last time I checked, WM got a rating of 9 which is pretty good for a Ch 3 lakorn. It’s rare for any lakorn to have double digits unless it’s Action. I would have to agree that Marie isn’t a very good actress and needs a lot of work but she has indeed improved herself since SNNT. In her first lakorn, she had poor speech, was very stiff and tried too hard to act pissed off. In WM, it seems like she loosened up a bit and her performance was a little more lively. To put all the blame on her is just really unprofessional. If you ask me, the lakorn itself was your typical boring lakorn with zero chemistry between the cast. There’s a lot of faults in this lakorn so pointing fingers at Marie is just pathetic. If Marie is to be blamed then I would also blame her co-star Boy Pakorn because being acknowledged as a good actor and a popular one too, he couldn’t help his n’ek nor the lakorn to garner “better” ratings. The producers and directors would need to accept their faults too but clearly they didn’t.
I’m disappointed with Boy actually. When I read his interview, he didn’t defend Marie at all. He’s basically saying that indeed it’s all Marie’s fault for the so called “failure” and he doesn’t have much to say. I expected a more mature and neutral response from him. tsk tsk.
It’s weird. Whoever follows up with Thai fandom would know that the producer of Wave Media is really bias towards Marie. So i was quite surprised to hear this news. Why would she feel the need to publicly defame Marie when she likes her? This type of news would reduce Marie’s chances of being a n’ek.
Based on watching many interviews and videos of her, I don’t think she’s passionate about acting at all. She’s seems very easy going and isn’t serious about her work just can be viewed as both good and bad. I will say though that I appreciate that she accepted her wrongdoings and promised to improve herself. Not many actresses are open enough to accept criticisms like that so I adore Marie for this fact. Hopefully working with many seniors would help her out.

yeah, that’s too harsh and unprofessional to blame it all on her. The lakorn was pretty bad, and she and boy had better chemistry on 3nnnt, prob cus their characters fit them more
