Episode 2 is so much better than episode 1, they met. She rescued him from drowning. It’s one of the best pra’nang introduction in a long time, they are not fighting or screaming at each other over something stupid. He was transfixed by her humming and nearly drowned himself trying to get to her. Pretty Epic.
She is night fishing with her older brother and he is on a ship supplying rice near her island, he’s a ship laborer now with no recollection of his past. Getting knocked out with a large stick can do that to you. He is resting on the edge of the boat and his new friend Ah’Lok approached him. San wants to go on the island. ‘After we finish working, do we get a chance to tour the island?’ Ah’Lok tells him the ship is parked to far from the island, they can’t go there. San wants to swim there, Ah’Lok warns him it’s too far and he will get eaten by sharks. It’s best he stays put on the boat.
San is left alone on the boat and he hears the enticing humming. It’s Nit humming to lure the fishes. He stands up alert searching for the source of the music and closes his eye to absorb the sound into his soul.
Enticed, he jumps into the water to find her.
On the boat with Nit, her brother is playfully teasing her for her humming. ‘It’s too loud. You’re scaring all the fishes away,’ he teases. She teases back that the fishes love her singing, he laughs and agrees. He too wants them to like her singing but they can’t keep paddling all night like this.
She tells her brother Neuang she was just trying to lure the fishes. He tells her to point them out and she does.
‘Over there, here, over there,’ she points.
Then she notices something strange, she sees a person struggling in the water and points it out to her brother. He doesn’t believe her. This late at night, who would be out swimming, he agrues. Some dude enticed by your sister’s humming, guy!
Without hesitation, she jumps into the water to save the poor bloke. In the water, he sees her like a magical glowing figure coming towards him.
As he is in a dazed, she takes him up to the surface.
