Actress ’Saipan’ Apinya Sakuljaroensuk was caught on camera smoking a cigarette and has now decided to quit. Don’t you just love it how they censored the picture, putting a red dot over it-much like the blurred alcohol bottles in Thai lakorns. At an event for the film ’3 AM’, Saipan owned up to her mistake of keeping a bad habit.
‘I am aware and bow to accept this mistake. There is no doubt at all. I know I am a bad example. I did it at a public place and I am a public person too. I have to apologize to my colleagues, my fans, and everyone involve who feel disappointed by me. But I promise that nothing like this will happen again because right now I have decided to quit.’
‘The day of the leaked picture was mother’s day too, thus I decided to use that as my reasoning to quit– to do it for myself and for my mother. About the leaked pictures, my mother did not say anything about it, my family understands these types of issues. If it doesn’t interfere with my work or school, they don’t say anything. But I think I should do something good for them too because the person who is upset with this issue is not me, it’s my mother ka.’
Saipan feels regretful about the situation.
‘I feel regretful for doing something without thinking. I should have thought more. I do feel like I care for the people around me and I feel very stupid. I was concerned the people around me ( meaning her family) would see. I wasn’t concerned about myself. The people around me gave me a loft of support. They said to su (fight) na. I realized people were worried about, for that reason i will not do something like this again.’
Her family supports her.
‘My mother gives me a lot of support, my whole family is very lovable. I have always gotten a lot of support from my family no matter what happens. Right now, I have decided to quit smoking.’
You can say a lot of things about this girl but she is quite talented.
