Songkran topless dancers in custody

On the second day of the Songkran festival in Bangkok Silom area, 3 young girls took off their top and dance provocatively on top of a car. Their obscene behavior became the talk of the town since the day it happened because it was taped. At first they were thought to be prostitutes advertising their craft to potential customers, but after closer examination, they looked too young to be prostitutes working at the red-light district of Patpong. The girls have surrendered themselves to the Thai Authority and will be fined 500Bt ($16 US) for their obscene behavior.

I really don’t know what to say, they are so young.  Their ages are 13-14-16.

Tomo is the new Bangkok Kungfu lead

I’m flying!

Originally the lead role for the film “Bangkok Kung Fu” went to Film Rattapoom, since his baby mama scandal with Annie Brooke broke out, Film was removed from the project and is now replaced by teen idol Wisawa “Tomo” Taiyanonnt from the Thai boyband K-Otic. It’s a teen flick by RS records production, you can’t have a scandal ridden lead like Film Rattapoom who possibly had gotten a girl pregnant, so they replaced him with Tomo–a lesser star with no scandal. Though the film was slated for  February 2011 release date, the date has been pushed back to mid 2011 because the script was rewritten and looking for Film’s replacement took time.

According to the producer of the film Khun Ongat Singlampong, Tomo was chosen for the role because he resolved all their problems and is a fresh face for moviegoers.

“As for the news that we were looking for a replacement for Film, it’s not anything like that because were created a new script. After Film couldn’t do the film, the staff team held a meeting and  P’Tom (famous director Yuthlert Sippapak) resolved everything. Then we went searching for a new actor for the new role. We had two people in mind like what was written in the news. For the first person, he was suited for the role but I’m not giving out his name out of respect. As for Tomo, he is our artist, so I am able to talk about him. In the end, we chose Tomo because the character in the new script, he is fresh-looking and we wanted a fresh face for this project, who has never acted before [in a film or lakorn].”

Mario Maurer and “Pae” Arak Amornsuppasiri are hopefully still in this project. I knew when the scandal broke about Annie and Film, they were concerned about Mario and Pae’s scheduling if the film was to be postponed.

Tomo practicing kung fu with is leading lady Kaew Sirimongkonsakol, a member of the girl group FFK.

This is like the Thai version of “Abracadabra”

Horrid! Horrible! Then again, I’m old, what do I know. This is definitely not my type of music, it’s not even original. This is like the male, Thai version of Brown Eyed Girl’s 2009 hit song “Abracadabra” mixed with Super Junior’s “SORRY SORRY”. Yes, I know that one of the members of Brown Eyed Girl Jea is featured on this song–still, couldn’t they try to be different instead of doing the same thing over and over again. Like honestly! I like Film Rattapoom as an actor–definitely not as a singer. He makes horrible music. This song is part of his new album “Film Climax”.

A Thai professor destroys a phone for Burger King!

We have all been fooled! The youtube video of a Thai professor destroying a student’s blackberry phone because he kept text messaging and actually picking up a call when she was giving a lecture, it’s fake. It’s actually a hoax viral internet video for Burger King part of their ‘angry whopper’ campaign. I have to give them props, that is just a creative way to advertise. It definitely got my attention.

A Thai professor destroys a phone

Wow that is just insane. I found this video on pantip on the topic of how to deal with people who BB too much–text messaging using their Blackberry smart phone. The professor was ridiculously livid, she just walked up to him unexpectedly, took his phone, and threw it on the ground. It shattered everywhere. Scary.

I’m assuming this is a mass communication class or some sort of business class on the topic of advertisement, the professor was listing the importance of radio as a cheap and accessible media for all of Thailand. I couldn’t really hear, it was something along those lines. As she is giving her lecture about radio, dude in the front is texting and paying more attention to his phone than her. You kept hearing beep–beep, you know the received text messaging sound. Then his phone buzzed like an alarm clock, it’s a call coming in. This mother-fudger actually picked up his phone in the middle of a class lecture and chatted with the person who called him. As she said ‘what does this mean’ she walked over to him, took his phone and just threw it on the ground. The girls in the classroom shrieked in shock. The professor gave the BB abuser a look and went back to her lecture like nothing happened. ‘Let me do this again,’ she said.  Holy.

There is a debate on youtube on whether this video is fake or real? It seemed real to me, but why is someone recording a video clip in the classroom. The professor’s emotions were so raw and the shock reaction among the students seemed natural to me. ?? I don’t know. A lot of people agree, he deserved it. It was ill-mannered of him to be disrupting the class by texting and taking calls while his professor is giving a lecture. People are praising the professor on this one. But then there some who thought she overacted, she had no right to break his phone. She should have ordered him to leave the classroom.

Miss Thailand Universe 2010 dresses are knock-offs

That is the debate. Are they–duplicates, knock offs, copies, fake versions? Besides the “National Costume”, Pook Look will have 3 evening gowns for the pageant. Two of them look like knock-offs of  famous foreign designers: Lebanese designer Abed Mahfouz and Italian designer Fausto Sarli.

Another copying scandal…E.
