Introducing Lyn's Lakorn Blog a place to enjoy a good slap and kiss… 2012-01-18T00:51:25Z http://iheartlakorns.com/feed/atom/ WordPress Lyn <![CDATA[Mark Prin is a groom for Noona’s MV ‘Only You’]]> http://iheartlakorns.com/?p=14552 2012-01-18T00:51:25Z 2012-01-18T00:49:37Z

I am so laughing at the concept of this music video, seriously it’s ridiculous, it’s like every lakorn plotline–marriage via an exchange. She wants to learn how to make chocolate from him, he needs a wife to deceive his mum and dad–voilà, they get marry. After several guk-gik (flirty) and waan (sweet) moments together, they begin to realize they like each other and the fake marriage becomes REAL! Wah.

Taking fake wedding photos to show to his parents–this was the first time Noona has ever worn a wedding dress, she felt excited about it.

Noona:”I felt excited ka, when I learned that I would be wearing a wedding dress. This is my first time in my entire life. My first time, so I don’t understand the emotions of a person who is about to get marry–like how sweet to you have to be. However, Peter, the director, he explained it to me and I was able to do it. As for P’Mark, this is the first time I am working with him. I thought he was the quiet type, the one that doesn’t talk much. But as we talked more, he is not like that at all, he’s playful which helped make it less awkward when we have to get close, like in our wedding picture scene. For the song ‘Only you’, it’s a slow song, mellow, a song about love– in a positive way, it’s bright. It’s especially for those who have found that person who they think of before anyone else. Nonetheless, I hope everyone will keep a look out for the music video of ‘Only You’.”

Aren’t they cute together?

Watching the behind the scenes clip of the MV, Mark and Noona are hilarious together.

At the beginning of the video, Noona introduces herself and the music video ‘Only you.’

‘However today, I have a special guest. Ah..nana.you are probably want to know who is the pra’ek for my music video. I won’t tell you, you just have to wait and see.’

Noona points to the chocolate goodies in the shop, she wants some but doesn’t want to get fat.

They go into the shop.

Noona:’Do you want to know who my pra’ek is?’

Tada. It’s Mark Prin.

Mark:’What? What?’

Noona playfully:’Why am I scared, I didn’t even do anything?’

Then she said something I didn’t understand and teased Mark that he is only the pra’ek’s helper. The real pra’ek is…no where to be seen because he is hiding from the camera. Everyone laughs.

Next scene:
Mark has her cornered behind the counter and Noona joked that he shouldn’t look at her mustache.

“Don’t look at my mustache, Okay?”

Mark starts laughing.

Next scene, she doesn’t know how to pronounce a pastry and asked Mark if he knew. He doesn’t know. ‘What language is it in?’

Later on, Mark jokingly accused Noona of missing several takes because she wanted to eat chocolate, it’s part of her master plan. Noona made a face and slapped him on the shoulders.

The full video will be release on January 23, 2012 on the ‘Five Live’ show on the Bang Channel.

Lyn <![CDATA[Only gigolos do that!!!! FUNNY]]> http://iheartlakorns.com/?p=14537 2012-01-17T21:39:33Z 2012-01-17T21:35:36Z

‘ATM Errak…error’ is a film by GTH, the feel-good studio of Thailand and is being released nationwide Thailand on January 19th, 2012. There is a scene in the 2nd trailer for the film that is not in the international Englished subbed trailer that I found hilarious.

First off, the synopsis of the film:

Sua (Ter – Chantavit Dhnasevi) and Jib (Ice -Preechaya Pongthananikorn) are like any other couple in this world except for one exception: for the past 5 years they have kept their relationship a secret since the bank where they are employed has a strict “No Fraternization” policy. It’s not a big deal until they decide to get married. The only problem? Which one of these two Type-A overachievers will put marriage before a career and resign? With neither willing to take the leap of faith they both turn incident into opportunity when an ATM glitch in Chonburi province cashes out over $130,000 baht. The terms are simple: whoever is able to recover the money first gets to keep their job. The couple will turn into no holds barred competitors. Who will literally “go big” in their career or “go home” in this romantic comedy about what two people won’t do for each other in the name of love? It’s the age old battle of the sexes but this time around how can victory be easily declared in a war where there are no more traditional “rules of engagement”

To the funny scene I was talking about. The characters Sua and Jib are arguing in the elevator about their relationship and who should quit their position at the bank and become the homemaker. Sua refuses because he is a man, Jib argues everyone is doing it–the wife is the main breadwinner in the relationship. Na Ah, according to Sua, only gigolos do that and he ain’t no gigolo. HAHA.

The full conversation:
Jib:’I can’t take this any more. Are you dating me or am I your mistress? Why do we have to hide? If people find out about us, where can I hide my face?’
Sua:’fine, lets get marry then.’
Jib:’Okay, so that means you are going to resign.’
Sua:’and proposed to you, but I didn’t tell you I was going to resign. You are resigning, I’ll take care of you.’
Jib:’Why can’t I take care of you?’
Sua:’What guy will have a woman take care of him?’
Jib:’Nowadays some people are doing it?’
Sua:’The people you are referring to are gigolos. JIB!’

The scene starts at the 1:30 time mark:

Dang, she is excited and it is only the rehearsal. Margie Rasri will be accepting her degree in Business administration in tourism management and services from Assumption University this Saturday, January 21 2011. From what I can gather about ‘Margie’ Rasri Balenciaga in pictures, she is a lively girl with an active social life. It’s just the rehearsal and friends came to cheer her on.

The thing I find most amusing about Margie is Boy Pakorn, he is always there by her side, being the three wheel in her group–it’s kinda cool.

Posing with Mario Maurer and his girlfriend ‘Gubgib’ Sumontip Leuangthai

Margie posing like Kung Fu masters with ‘Deaw’ Suriyon Aroonwattanakul.

Leaping it with boyfriend Tong and best bud Boy Pakorn.

It’s a wig, I tell ya.

Lyn <![CDATA[3 Num Neua Thong: Ep 10 Kritchai’s 2 minute basketball segment]]> http://iheartlakorns.com/?p=14494 2012-01-17T03:05:07Z 2012-01-17T03:05:07Z I have been meaning to translate this part since it aired but never got a chance to, it’s the part where Kritchai (Mark Prin) is at the basketball court, letting out some frustration about Arunsri by shooting hoops and thinking about what his two buddies Teetat and Wat had said when he told them he advised Arunsri to give her douchebag boyfriend Pran a second chance.

The scene:

Teetat: ‘I beg of you, stop being the good person. The girl is confused.’

Kritchai:’Confused about what?’

Teetat:’ow, of you following her around, secretly admiring her, being overly concerned about her, then suddenly you tell her to marry her boyfriend– it’s a good idea. Anyone would be confuse by that.’

Wat teasing:’Right, even we are confused. What do you want? Are you going to pursue her or be a crazy person. Hey, if you won’t be straight-forward and pursue Arunsri like you announced, you should change your genitals. It’s bent for sure.’

After several flashbacks of Arunsri, Kritchai asked himself while laying on the basketball court, ‘to openly pursue? How do you do that?’–I have to wonder about this guy, how can he have no experience with girls. He’s rich, handsome, and smart, but yet so shy.

Later on in the episode, he went to a flower shop to buy Arunsri flowers and nearly had a panic attack.

Kritchai standing in front of the flower shop:’Ahey, what flower should I buy? I don’t even know what she likes. If I buy it, she might not like it. When I give it to her, do I have to say anything? To give her for what occasion? Will she accept it? If she doesn’t accept it, what will I do? What should I do?’–that is a lot of question.

The florist sees him and came out. ‘Hello, would you like to order some flowers? For what occasion–to visit someone sick or for your girlfriend?’

Kritchai said he will pass for today, maybe next time and run to his Mercedes and exclaimed, ‘why is chasing after a girl so difficult?!!’–it’s pathetic and enduring at the same time. I love this character.

Lyn <![CDATA[Kim is ‘talking’ to Jett Nattapong]]> http://iheartlakorns.com/?p=14516 2012-01-16T23:59:57Z 2012-01-16T23:56:23Z The latest gossip is right– linking ‘Saam Num Neua Thong (3 Golden Men)’ and ‘Ruk Patiharn (Miracle of Love)’ star Kimberley Anne Woltemas with lakorn producer ‘Jett’ Nattapong Mernprasitivej (Plerng Toranong, Ruk Patiharn, Wan Jai Gab Nai Jom Ying, Jai Rao), they are talking– and have even gone to Japan together.

Kimberley admitted after the New Year she went to Japan with Jett Nattapong– just the two of them–not in a group. Oh No.

‘I went with P’Jett ka, I have a relative there and he went to look at fishes (Koi),’ Kimberley told to the press at a fashion show. ‘We went there just the two of us. We flew there together, BUT we didn’t stay together,’ she admitted.

The gossip about the two of them have been going on for some time, Kimberley is not too overly concern about it and confessed they are at the getting to know each other stage. As to the status of their relationship, she does not know.

‘Like I said, I want to wait until I’m sure than I can say more. At this moment, we are talking.’ She said.

Kimberley also addressed the accusation that she goes to his house often and to his bedroom. His mother’s house, his sister’s house is in the same proximity and their office is there too, she explained. She goes there often because they produce her lakorns, but to his bedroom she does not go into.

Kimberley has been plagued with lesbian rumors since being pictured with a manly lesbian friend. In the latest bit about her sexual orientation, it is rumored that a manly looking girl brought her a Chanel bag and is trying to date her. Kimberley said she does not know who this person is and this person does not exist. She brought her own Chanel bag. It is true, she has manly looking lesbian friends, but they are only her friends. Okay. Kimberley said she is a ‘girl’ and she likes guys. Okay again. I don’t need to know that.

From what I have seen of him on shows and interviews, he does seem like a nice guy and he produces really good lakorns–something different and it’s usually not the intense slap and kiss type–very romantic, delicate.

His mother played Mario Maurer’s grandmother in ‘Plerng Toranong (Flames of Arrogance)’ and his sister is lakorn producer ‘Ja’ Yossinee Nanakorn.

The morning after issue, hmm…I wonder what that means–the morning after a late night of partying or a hook up. Either or, he looks tired and cranky. It’s Nadech “Barry” Kugimiya on the cover of DONT magazine for their 2012 January issue.

The bed looks comfy.

Awhile ago, I told my mother I was depressed about my work, life, and future. I felt as though I have no direction in my life, she advised to find a husband and have some kids. Wah? And apparently it will solve all my issues. Bam! It’s that simple, marriage, kids, and all my problems will just fade away–all my insecurities, my fears about the future, my work concerns, my financial concerns, it will just evaporate like water on a hot day. Yea, I don’t think it is gonna solve anything.

From the ‘Kulap Satan (Rose Satan)’ Ost, ’Yaak Ja Roo (I want to know)’ by Note Panayanggool feat. Junior the Star 7, been meaning to translate this song for the longest time.

Lyrics:

Far, no matter how far, there will still be an answer
Long, no matter how long, I will never forget…disappear
I look up at the stars as they can be like a friend when I am lonely
I am thinking of that person
You are like the star that I can rest my heart in
I close my eyes and dream.
I want to know at this moment where you are at (I want to know if you are still thinking of me)
I want to know what you are thinking of.
I want to know, I want to know, I want to know
I look up at the stars as they can be like a friend when I am lonely
I am thinking of that person (I really miss him)
You are still like the star that I can rest my heart in
It can only be in a dream
I want to know where you are at (I want to know if you are thinking of me)
I want to know what you are thinking of
I want to know, I want to know, I want to know
I want to know at this moment where you are at (I want to know if you are still thinking of me)
I want to know how you are
I want to know, I want to know, I want to know
(The time goes by slower)I want it to be as before
(I told myself it can never be) but I will keep you in my memories.
I will not let it go…
I want to know where you are at (I want to know if you are thinking of me)
I want to know how you are
I want to know, I want to know, I want to know
I want to know, I want to know, I want to know

Lyn <![CDATA[Thairath’s lakorn of the year 2011 goes to…]]> http://iheartlakorns.com/?p=14463 2012-01-02T01:52:20Z 2012-01-02T01:52:09Z

At the start of the year, the TV industry looked lively–the economy was prospering, the currency was strong, price was decent, everything looked good. Then, the great flooding occurred and everything went down hill. Even though the Thai television business is a strong industry, it was affected by the flooding–filming sights were flooded, production houses where editing took place flooded, stars’ houses were flooded. Luring advertisements, the industry’s bread and butter, was an issue. New projects, we shouldn’t even talk about them because they were swept away by the flood.

But though it all, Ch3 seems to be the victor in this crisis. There intensive coverage of the flood by newscaster Sorayut Sutatsanajinda from Ch3′s morning news show ”Ruang Lao Chao Nee (The issue for this morning or Morning News)’ and his contributions to the flood victims helped the channel gain more audiences. Ch3 lakorns were improving and their ratings were also improving comparable to their main competitor Ch7.

For the year, Ch7 produced 13 evening lakorns and 26 prime time lakorns, which brings their total to 39 lakorns. Ch5 produced 8 lakorns. Ch7 had 11 evening lakorns and 22 prime time lakorns, a total of 33 lakorns for the year. Modern 9 had 7 lakorns for the year.

Notable first half of the year lakorns for Ch3:
‘Koo Duerd (Furious Duo)’ with Por Natthawut and Aum Atichart–was decent.
‘Mon Ruk Look Thung (Enchanting country music)’ remake with Por Thrisadee and ‘Ja’ Jitapa Jampratom did not meet expectations.
‘Mongkut Dok Som (The Orange Crown)’ also did not meet expectations has compared to the original
‘Ruk Mai Mee Wan Tai (Love never dies)’ with Dome Pakorn Lum and Ploy Chermarn
‘Wanalee’ remake with Por Natthawut and newcomer Mew Laknara
‘Rahut Torachon (Code of the outlaws_’ with Ken Theeradeth and Chompoo Araya was not too shabby
‘Dok Som See Thong (Golden Orange Flower or The dandelion)’ with Chompoo Araya and Aun Witaya was a major lakorn for Ch3

Notable second half of the year lakorns for Ch3:
‘Tard Ruk (Slave Love)’ with “Cherry” Khemupsorn Sirisukha, Mart Krissada, Por Thrisadee, and Janie Tienposuwan
‘Mia Taeng (Wedded Wife)’ with ‘Rome’ Patchada Nampan and Chompoo Araya, another major accomplishment for Chompoo Araya
‘Kon Ruk Luang Jai (The Trickery of Love Dupes the Heart)’ with Ken Theeradeth and Janie Tienposuwan
‘Plerng Torranong (Flames of Arrogances), first lakorn from Mario Maurer as a Ch3 leading man
‘Roi Mai (Trace of the Silk)’ was a beautiful lakorn directed by Aof Pongpat starring ‘Aff’ Taksaorn Paksukcharean and Aum Atichart.
‘Tawan Deuat (Furious Tawan)’ with Mark Prin and Yaya introduced Thais to ‘Cowboys on TV’
‘Ruk Patiharn (Miracle of Love)’ with Kimberley Anne Woltemas and Mart Krissada.
‘Roi Marn (Trace of the Devil)’ with Boy Pakorn and Margie Rasri had high ratings
‘Game Rai Game Ruk (An evil game, a love game)’ with Yaya Urassaya Sperbund and Nadech “Barry” Kugimiya
‘Saam Num Neua Tong (3 Golden Men)’ with Ken Phupoom, Mark Prin, and Boy Pakorn

Notable Ch5 lakorns include ‘Kaam Wayla Tam Ha Ruk (Crossing Time…in search of Love)’ and ‘Kulap Satan (Satan Rose)’.

Notable first half of the year lakorns for Ch7:
‘Neua Manut (Beyond Human)’ with Aof Chanapol and Mai Davika
‘Ngao Gammathep (Shadow of the Cupid)’ starring Mai Davika and ‘Weir’ Sukollawat Kanaros
‘Pah Nang Seua (Forest of Miss Tiger)’ starring Yui Jiranan and Tle Thanapol was a ratings hit.
‘Mon Ruk Mae Nam Moon’ had ‘Weir’ Sukollawat Kanaros squaring off with ‘Porsche’ Saran Siriluksana for Jui Warattaya’s love.
‘Lui’ was an action lakorn starring Vee Veeraphap
‘Ka Kong Kon (The Value of a Person) starring Pong Nawat and Noon Woranuch was a major hit.
‘Bobae’ with Kwan Usamanee Waitayanon and Cee Siwat

Notable second half of the year lakorns for Ch7:
‘Koo Kaen Saen Ruk (My Beloved Foe)’, the romantic comedy starring Chakrit Yamnam and ‘Aum’ Patcharapa Chaichuea
‘Dok Kaew’ 2011 remake starring Mai Davika and Win Tawin
Tawee Pope (Two Worlds) the first pairing of Om Akapan and “Pancake” Khemmanid Jamikorn
‘Lily See Kulap’starring Jakajan Akumsiri and Cee Siwat as her bodyguard
‘Seua Sang Fah (The Tiger orders the heaven)’, mystical lakorn
‘Sao Ha: Taptim Siam (Saturn 5: Siam Rubies)’ was a major ratings hit
‘Nangfah Gap Mafia (The angel and the mafia) paired ex-lovers “Pancake” Khemmanid Jamikorn and ‘Weir’ Sukollawat Kanaros
‘Hop Ruk Mak Hom Pah (Carry love to the forest)’ is the first lakorn for Guy Navapol with Ch7, he is paired with Kwan Usamanee.

Do I need to mention Modern 9 lakorns because I don’t think anyone watches their lakorns.

The lakorns up for consideration for the title of ‘Lakorn of the year’ are:
1.’Ruk Mai Mee Wan Tai (Love never dies)’ for its use of computer graphics and the chemistry of Ploy Chermarn and her ex-boyfriend and co-star Dome Pakorn.
2.’Dok Som See Tong (Golden Yellow Flower)’ for the character scandalous ‘Reya’ played by Chompoo Araya. Though it was a second installment of the series, it did better than the first, which is very unusual.
3. ‘Game Rai Game Ruk (An Evil game, a Love Game) for its excellent script.
4. ‘Seua Sang Fah (The Tiger orders the heaven)’ for its use of computer graphics in context with its mystical plotline–seriously, I thought it was corny.

In the end, the winner goes to ‘Dok Som See Tong’ of Ch3 for its strong plotline and media buzz and its impact on the future of all Ch3 lakorns. Because of the scandal involving racy love scenes and being heavily criticized by the Thai Culture Ministry, Ch3 has decided to ban all love scenes for their future lakorns.
