Scratch, scratch, let the cat-fight between a wife and her husband’s mistress in “Mia Taeng (Wedded Wife)” following the conclusion of “Ngao Prai”. Yeah, I goofed, thought it was “Tard Ruk”.
“Mia Taeng (Wedded Wife)” will air on July 18, 2011 on Ch3.
The plot centers around Rome, a man who is forced into marriage by his mother when he already has a girlfriend played by Benz. Eventually he starts to fall to his wife (played by Chompoo Araya) because of her beauty and kindness. But his girlfriend is relentless via lies and a fake pregnancy, she marks her claims on what she believes is hers. She stirs trouble in his new found love.
I don’t know if we can consider this an insult or a compliment. In terms of social norms, we don’t want to be a mistress, but we want to be perceive as pretty. I’m vain, I want to be pretty.
Nok Jiraya, veteran actress and lakorn producer, had to defend herself on her choice of the nang’rai role for the upcoming lakorn “Mia Taeng (Wedded Wife)”. She chose ‘Benz’ Pornchita Na Songkhla as the mia noi (mistress) to ‘Rome’ Patchada Nampan and the antagonist to the fairer skin, apparently prettier ‘Chompoo’ Araya Hagate. The argument is that the mia noi role should have been given to a prettier and a ‘kaao’ light skin tone woman. That is insulting, Benz is pretty.

I agree, beauty and attractiveness comes in a package. I sincerely believe that ‘beauty’ is more than just exterior appearances, it’s a combination of how that person makes you feel, how well they can hold a conversation with you, your similarities, social backgrounds, and personality.
It is not as simple as she is pretty that is why he is attracted to her.
Speechless, Miss “Benz” Pornchita Na Songkhla goes nude on the cover of Image magazine. Holy! Long black leather gloves, black shiny inky liquid substance painted on her chest–the hell. Well at least she looks amazing. For a second though, I did think she was Ken Theeradeth’s wifey Noi Bussakorn. It all depends on the angle.

Hey, Mr. Pop Thakoon is pretty snazzy with his white pimp hat, no shirt vest, and flat stomach. I’ll watch it just for him for his outlandish hip-hop outfits. I’ll mock and I’ll laugh.
Pat Napapa is a pop star in this one, a popular singer, who finds herself pregnant. I’m sure the identity of her baby daddy will be revealed near the end. For now, her character Neera or Namtan pins the responsibility on our pra’ek Ben played by Great Warintorn, who is not too happy about it.
If he lived in America, I’m pretty sure he would be heading straight to the Maury Povich show to part of the their “Who’s the Daddy?” segment. Once Maury opens the white envelope and proclaim Ben as not the father, Ben would be doing the ‘happy’ dance and telling everyone, ‘I told you so, I didn’t even touch her’. The Maury Povich show is trash TV, yet I like it.
Ben is forced by his much older half-brother Borom (Montri Jenuksorn), the boss of the record company Namtan is signed under, to take responsibility for Namtan’s baby. They have to save face, protect Namtan’s image. Someone has to do it, Ben is forced to. He doesn’t like, but he does it claiming always that he is not the father and does not want to take responsibility.
Namtan moves into Ben’s house along with her older cousin Kidakarn (“Benz” Pornchita Na Songkhla). Kidakarn is there for support, to keep an eye on Ben because from what she knows, she believes Ben is the father, though he is not. She is there to nag. Kidakarn and Ben would fight often but there is chemistry between them. Ah…you know where I’m going with this. Kidakarn and Ben equals the PRANANG (leading couple).
Namtan’s baby daddy is Bee (Pop Thakoon), Borom’s son, and Ben’s nephew. He’s a singer also, who is preparing for his debut as an artist. Bee doesn’t want to accept responsibility for Namtan’s child because she has a reputation for sleeping around. E.

Ken got two awards Best Actor in Film and Lakorn, it was a big year for him. His wifey must be proud.

In his quest to lose weight. Let me tell you “Benz” Pornchita Na Songkhla and her long time boyfriend Micky Boromwuti (Chai Chattayodom’s younger brother) are way too cute. I don’t think she cares whether he is a chubby man or not, she cares about his health. The last time reporters asked Benz about Micky’s diet, she jubilantly joked that she doesn’t want him to lose too much weight, he might lose his cute factor.
Micky is still on his diet and Benz has joined him for moral support.
