Mos’s new lakorn

It’s another romantic comedy for Ch5 after Bie and Vill’s successful lakorn “Dok Ruk Rim Tang (Roadside Crown Flower or Crown Flower on the edge of the road)”.

“Hua Jai Ploy John (Jumping Gem Heart)” starring “Pim” Pimmada Borriruksooppakorn and ‘Mos’ Patiparn Pataweekarn will premier tomorrow, June 29th. It’s a semi-musical/ mistaken identity lakorn set in  rural Thailand about a man who owes money and is on the run.

Mos is Vorapat, a guy with the most unfortunate fate. His occupation is a salesman at a company and he has the worst best friend ever. Udom (“Louis” Pongphun Phetchbantoon), Vorapat’s best friend screws him over by making him owe 10 million baht to a company. Vorapat doesn’t have the money, so he goes on the run to save his life. I guess it’s a shady company run by the mob or some underbelly organization.

By chance he runs into Boonkerd ( played by Thai country singer Tai Tanawut), a fortunate taxi driver, who is heading back to his hometown to accept an inheritance. On the way, Boonkerd gets into a car accident, the car capsized. He is badly injured and suffered a coma. As Boonkerd is in a comatose state at the hospital, Vorapat is mistakenly identified as Boonkerd and is taken to Boonkerd’s hometown in a parade.

As Boonkerd, Vorapat inherits a brass band once headed by Boonkerd’s grandfather and a large sugar palm plantation, several hundreds of acres large. Vorapat also falls in love with Saenwan (“Pim” Pimmada Borriruksooppakorn), a spunky gal whose father is aiming to have her married off to Boonkerd.  As such, Vorapat enjoys his life as Boonkerd. He begins to believe he can pass as Boonkerd.

As time goes by, Vorapat faces a dilemma–sell the sugar palm plantation to pay off his debt or keep the plantation and make everyone happy. Eventually reality catches up with Vorapat, he’s not the real Boonkerd. The real Boonkerd wakes from his coma and is coming back to claim his inheritance.

Aom’s little brother brought a date

Aom Piyada’s onscreen younger brother from the sitcom ‘Ban Ruk Soi 9′ and VJ Ja Natthaweeranuch’s ex-boyfriend “Louis” Pongphun Phetchbantoon brought his new girlfriend Poon to Aom’s wedding. In ‘Ban Ruk Soi 9′, Louis plays Bic, Aom’s dimwitted brother. He’s a riot on the show, really ditzy. In ‘Hua Jai Sila (Sila’s heart)’ with Bie Sukrit, he was the main guy villain Ae, Sila’s half-brother.

I find his new girlfriend adorable. She seems tamed compared to VJ Ja, that woman is a walking ‘scandal’ waiting to happen.

Louis and Poon have been dating for several months now, he staightforwardly told the press this is my girlfriend. She has met with his parents, they like her. She has a better relationship with his mother than he does.

Louis:“She is a sweet girl, she takes good care of me regarding everything. She has her own job to do; however, when I’m tired,  she is more than willing to come take care of me. We have been seeing each other for several months now. She is my girlfriend. Our parents approve of our relationship. It is good. Her family lives in America; however, they are fine with us seeing each other. I have introduced her to my parents. They like her. From the looks of thing, she has a better relationship with my mother than I do.”

Is she the one, reporters asked. Louis replied, “it’s probably like that (laughs). I’m an adult now, I know the right thing to do, it feels good. We have to take responsibility for our actions.”

Louis feels confident about this relationship, they might even get married.

Poon said she felt scared because this is the first time meeting with the press. She likes him because he respects woman. He takes good care of her, never lets her do anything alone, drives her around, and buys  her things.

I think she might be roughly 22, she recently graduated and has a degree in fashion.

Embedded above is an episode clip of “Ban Ruk Soi 9″ where Bic (Louis) is being attacked by his two girlfriends. One slaps him, the other knees him in the crotch area. Near the end, Pang (Aom) gives Bic a lecture, “if that was me, I won’t just slap or knee the guy, I will cut it.” Meaning, if a guy cheats on her, she will go Lorena Bobbit on his peen.
