The 4th annual Nataraja Awards 2012 winners

 photo naraja1_zps3c3f2343.jpg

It’s a bittersweet win for Nadech as people are debating whether he should have won or not at Pantip and even at Sanook, it should have gone to ‘Porche’ Saran Siriluksana for his highly popular lakorn ‘Yok Luerd Mungkorn’ on Ch7 or even to Aum Atichart for his leading role in the historical Thai lakorn ‘Khun Seuk’ on Ch3 by TV Scene productions. Personally, I did not watch either of those lakorns I can’t make a comparison. I did however watch ‘Torranee Nee Krai Krong’ with Nadech and Yaya, I thought Nadech did well. Besides the whole Pinky and Tanya issue, this seems to be a hot topic. Some argued the Nataraja awards is not voted by popular vote it’s voted like the Oscars by people who work in the industry. Maybe they saw something in Nadech that a normal viewer might not have seen.

The 4th annual Nataraja Awards 2012 took place today at the Royal Thai Navy Convention Hall in Bangkok, it aired live a few hours ago on Modern 9 TV. Channel 3 like always dominated the award show, winning nearly every category.

Aff Taksaorn models luxury brands for Praew Magazine

Photobucket

‘Aff’ TaksaornPaksukcharean and her husband Songkran Techanarong modeled stylishly for various luxury brands for Praew magazine’s July 2012 issue. In their interview for Praw magazine, the couple shared how different they are in terms of personality and lifestyle. She is calm and serene and progresses through life in a slower pace where as he is speedy, impatient type of person. Even in the pace in which they eat, they are different. She savors her meals while he is a fast eater and rushes to fill his stomach to move on to the next task at hand. By all means they are not the prefect couple, they have their differences but loves makes them strive to reach the middle ground for them to  function harmoniously together.

Songkran thinks that Aff fans are lovable and have become his fans too and jokingly inserted ‘because Aff doesn’t take care of me’. After their wedding, Aff has been busy with work, traveling to China to meet her fanclub members, doing commercials, she has been a busy gal and has little time for Songkran or lakorns.

Songkran finds Aff’s fans pretty crafty, they always know where Aff would be at and give her gifts. ‘Can you believe this after our wedding,’ said Songkran. ‘I have no space to walk in my house, it’s occupied with gifts from fans. One person sent us photo albums, nearly 200 albums. Some sent us sweets, whatever Aff doesn’t finish, I help eat.’

Aff joked that Songkran has fans too, mostly FHM girls or Maxim girls. ‘Though deep down inside he likes them, he can’t look–if not, he is gonna get an ear pulling, ‘ Aff teased. Songkran assured her he would never stray because he got the best girl in all of Thailand.

Aff and Songkran’s wedding part 2

Photobucket

A lot of weddings today. Tony Ja had his ‘wedding’ thing yesterday, you can’t really call it a wedding–he is already married to his bride since December 19, 2011 and registered their marriage license on December 29, 2011, so it’s okay that his bride/wife is almost 2 months pregnant. Little Tony Ja coming our way.

For today we have ‘Chai’ Chatayodom Hiranyatsathiti marriage to Vicky Sunisa and ‘Num’ Attaporn Teemakorn and his bride Fai and we have part 2 of Aff and Songkran’s wedding at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Bangkok.

Songkran cried too

Photobucket
Okay, seriously, these people make me sick–not in a bad way. Just envious of their genuine love and joy.

I wondered why she hugged him, was it something he said? No, he wept and she consoled him with an embrace during their engagement ceremony. I always got the feeling when it comes to Aff and Songkran, he loves her more. He wanted to marry her now, he wants kids with her today. It’s a good thing to be in love with someone who loves you more, who will give you more and never go astray, fingers crossed. I am truly envious of that.

A Thai netizen at Manager website was impressed by the hug as I was and wrote:
‘I love the picture of Aff hugging Songkran. You don’t see that often when the woman hugs a man like that.’

True Dat!

On another note, they had 500 of their closest friends and family and they considered that small. Insane. They drove off in a white convertible Ferrari too.

Aff cried at her engagement ceremony

Photobucket

Aw. When I was young, I used to be tomboyish and would roll my eyes at people who cry at weddings, but as I have gotten older, you begin to understand why they cry. It’s a big day, representing a big change in a person’s life-I consider it a gamble depending on the risk factor of your partner.

‘Aff’ Taksaorn Paksukcharean and her long time love Songkran Techanarong held their engagement ceremony this morning at 6:09 AM Sunday, April 22, 2012–the first part of their wedding. They signed their marriage license, had a mini afternoon reception with a cake among friends and family at Songkran’s Bonanza ranch in Khao Yai. It was a low key event outdoors with a white tent, barely any decorations.  Aff cried during the engagement ceremony and her groom Songkran was all smiles all day.The second part of their wedding is on May 4th at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Bangkok.
