Cris Horwang has been winning a lot of awards for “A Bangkok Traffic Love Story”, it amazes me. Also, I can’t believe “Nang Ma gub Poo Yai Lee (Ms. Ma and Elder Lee)” is still winning awards. Hasn’t it been 2 years already or  maybe just a year. Still, it is an old lakorn.

For the love of cheese, both these boys need to lay off the make-up.

Bie is staying with Exact

Lately there has been a big migration to Ch3–better deals, more money, it’s tempting.

Ch3 is luring all the big acts from other production companies, other channels to their stables. The latest development on this matter involves “Bie” Sukrit Wisetkaew, actor for Exact  Scenario productions (Ch5) and singer for Grammy records. According to the rumors, Ch3 has their eye on Bie, Ch5′s biggest celebrity. He sings, he acts, he has many adoring/ devoted fans. Bie is a hot commodity.

Khun “Boy” Takolkait Weerawa,  head honcho for Exact Scenario productions, finds this rumor amusing. Bie is not going anywhere, he has 4 more years left on his contract. Khun Boy laughed when reporters brought it up.

Khun Boy laughing:”I don’t know, I have never heard this issue (laughs). How many years are left in his contract, that I don’t even remember. I think it is in several years, you should ask him yourself.”

As for Bie, he ain’t going nowhere, he loves the company that made him and looks up to Khun Boy.

“I’m not going, this is the place where I was made, and Khun Boy is an elder I have high esteem for. If my contract expires, I will definitely extend. Because here, they take good care of me VERY MUCH, whether it be the behind the scenes people or in front the scene employees or the elders at GMM Grammy, they take good care of me. Regardless I will have to extend (meaning he will extend his contract because of the respect and love his company has given him).”

“My contract expiring isn’t for a while. There are changes to my contract often because I’m receiving more work. For that reason, my contract, guidelines to it, various things have to be changed. My contract is amended every 5 years.  I don’t quite remember when my contract will expire. If I’m not mistaken, there is 4 years left.”

Bie has worked with Ch3 before in the lakorn “Prajun See Roong (Rainbow Moon)”, so some are saying Ch3 is trying to tempt Bie to move. Bie explains that is not the case at all.

“With Ch3, I have worked with them before, for the lakorn “Prajun See Roong (Rainbow Moon)”. At that time, they were borrowing me to go act with them. If Ch3 wants to work with me again, I’m happily willing to. If they want me to sign a contract, I will have to stay with Exact. Regarding the rumor that there has been some persuasion, I don’t how if the elders (Ch3) have come forth in that way. I would know when the elders of Exact would tell me: Ch3 has contacted us about a lakorn for you, what the role is, do I want to play in it? Behind the scenes, I don’t know how they communicate with each other.”

Technically, Bie can work with any channel, they just have to work it out with Exact productions. He wants to work with other channels and other companies.

“It’s not that I just want to work with Ch3. I don’t want to have monopoly, I want to work in lakorns with everyone. I want to sing with every camp (every production company). I want to experience new things, I want to widen my horizons unlike what I experience at home (meaning his current management company Exact). I want to know what is like to work at other places. How do they eat?”

“Every work that has been offered has to pass Khun Boy first. For that reason, work that is important, work that has a problem, work that has too many guidelines, Khun Boy takes care of that for me. Other minor work, the staff arranges that. If it is a lakorn for Ch3, it’s more with the production company, it has to pass Khun Boy first.”

Some Thai netizens are annoyed with Ch3 for trying to lure every top star to their company.

“Ch3 is still acting like the terrorist Thaksin (the ousted former Prime Minister of Thailand). They use trickery and money. Whoever is good or popular, they use money to lure celebrities, news people from other companies to improve ratings. They are conducting themselves like a political party like Maeo (Thaksin’s nickname) who used money to buys those scoundrels in order to win an election.”–okay, that is a little bit much.

Another opinion: “What? Ch3 can’t produce their own celebrity, they have to pull that person or attract hat other person?”

Dok Ruk Rim Tang: Ep 23, I’m still your Ooth

Oh these two kids, get it together. Both are unsure if the other likes them back. You do. You love each other, now get marry. It’s an order.

In episode 21, Vee (played by Bie) reveals to Ooth or Anoot (played by Vill), he knows she is a girl. Anoot feeling like she betrayed him and can’t face him decides to leave, so all of episode 22, we have Anoot avoiding Vee. He was disappointed, she was worried that he hates her for lying. Really, he didn’t care. He has known for a while, he was waiting for her to confess so that they can move on, build a relationship. She doesn’t know that though.

Dok Ruk Rim Tang: Ep 21 ending

One of the things I regret is not watching “Dok Ruk Rim Tang (Crown flower on the edge of the road)” in full, from the beginning till now. I watched the first episode when it aired and brushed it off as another wacky lakorn with a sense humor I will never understand. Plus, I wasn’t in the mood for another cross-dressing lakorn where nang’ek disguises herself as a boy to find her father’s WILL which happens to be with pra’ek. The talking dog kinda turned me off too.

I didn’t click with this lakorn until I started watching it with my parents, they are freaking nuts about this series, they get exciting about Huntu, the overly intelligent dog and his voice overs. It’s like a soccer match with them, when Hunsu is onscreen, they do a laugh and a cheer.

In yesterday’s episode, Patavee or Khun Vee (played by Bie) finally confess to Ooth or Anoot (played by Vill), he knows she is a girl. He has known since episode 17, he is not mad, he is just waiting for her to confess. He still loves her no matter what. He wasn’t even angry when he fought out at the beach when she nearly drowned, he was relieved, he ain’t gay. Oh yea!
