After 11 years and a year of marriage, Kob Suwanant and her long time love Brooke Danaporn are pregnant. Kob is 3 months pregnant y’all. Tomorrow November 11, she will hold a press conference giving out info about her pregnancy on the set of her variety show “Jan Pan Dao” for Ch7.
A person close to Kob has revealed to the media that she has been experiencing morning sickness and has been cravings for sour foods. Also, she has been constantly tired and sleepy, especially around noon time. After eating her noon time meal, she would ask if she could take a nap, which usually she never does. Kob has always been on-the-go working woman, since she became pregnant, she has canceled everything–her travels to the provinces, her event gigs that most Thai celebrity partake in. She is taking a semi-halt for her first born.
Both Kob and Brooke are excited about the pregnancy, it is a first for both.
I’ve read the synopsis, I’ve seen the teasers, something about it doesn’t click with me. The plot line is very typical for lakorns–a man auctioning out his daughter because of debt. Taew Nataporn and Por Thrisadee’s lakorn “Hua Jai Song Park (A Divided Heart)” is something to be desired for now. Once I watch the first episode, then I will know if I like it or not.
It reminds me a lot of Pinky and Weir’s lakorn “Love Rotation or Revolving Hearts” for some reason. Though the plot line are different, the characters in the lakron are very similar. Like Weir in “Love Rotaton”, Por is playing the protective, loving pra’ek who has everything wealth, good looks but the nang’ek played by Taew misunderstands him to be cold and a man with evil intentions. Really, he is the only person who is looking out for her best interest.
Taew’s character Tawanchay is much like Pinky’s character Bow in that she is strong and a character who will not yield to no one. Taew described her character as a young woman who is studied aboard, who is stylish, confident, a good drinker, and a woman is not afraid to go out with guys at night–a big ‘no-no’ in the conservative Thai culture.Taew also said her character is not afraid to kiss a guy on the cheeks. Oh no, kissing–another big ‘no-no’. It’s sounds a lot like Pinky’s character Bow minus the drinking and the kissing part. Like Bow, who was kept in the dark for the longest time that Thot (Weir) and Nee (Tarn Kanya) were siblings, I have a feeling Taew will not find out her father is in debt to Por’s character until half way through the lakorn.
And my gosh, doesn’t Pulpat Attapanyapol and Boy Pakorn look very similar? They could pass as brothers. It’s funny how their characters are very similar. Like Pulpat in “Love Rotation”, Boy Pakorn will be deeply in love with nang’ek and will even be engage to her, but he is just not good enough for her because of his gambling issue. Pulpat wasn’t good enough for Pinky because he cheated on her with Nee and he was engage to her. Both men are selfish, kinda obsessive with the woman they love.
Everything is just all so very similar.
Maybe it will be good, from my experience, you can never judge a lakorn by the teaser or the synopsis, they are really poor indicators of a good lakorn. Plus, it’s a remake. Something must be good about it the first time around for people to want to do a remake. You can watch the teaser of the original here. Kob Suvanant’s hubby Brooke Danuporn was the pra’ek for the original back in 2000, 9 years ago.
“Hua Jai Song Park (A Divided Heart)” will role out this coming Thursday, December 24, 2009. You can read the translated synopsis at Wishbone’s page. You can check out pictures of the cast here.
