Chakrit Yamnam Archive

Aum looks hot, Chakrit looks shabby

He does. He looks disheveled, like he has just gotten out of bed and had only got an hour or two of sleep. Get some sleep and rest, buddy. You really need it.

It has been years since “Aum” Patcharapa and Chakrit Yamnam have worked together, their last or only lakorn together was “Kammathep Tua Noi (Little Cupid)” on Ch7. It was so long ago, I don’t even remember the year. I do remember that I liked it– constant fighting between the pra’nangs, a feisty nang’ek who worked as an architect or interior designer, a cocky pra’ek, I remember distinctly Aum and Chakrit’s two friends. Aum had a virginal best friend with an exaggerated imagination and Chakrit’s was best bud with this goofy doctor. Aum’s best friend would later hook up with Chakrit’s doctor friend in the most hilarious way ever. She thought he raped her when he only helped her out when she got drunk. You can watch the scene of what I’m talking about below.

In the scene, Aum’s friend got totally plastered because she believed Aum stole the guy she liked. She went to a bar and went wild. She goes back to her apartment, meets Chakrit’s doctor friend in the elevator. They live in the same building. She acts all delirious around him, she’s drunk. She walks back to her room, he walks that way too, their rooms are in the same hallway, I believe. Aum’s friend collapses near the door, the doctor friend goes to help her out. He sees a maid walking by and asked for her assistance. Both him and the maid take Aum’s drunken friend back to his room. He instructs the maid to dress Aum’s friend while he waits in the living room. That night, Aum’s friend crushes at Chakrit’s friend’s apartment. She takes the bedroom, he sleeps in the living room being a total gentleman. Though she was dressed, she woke up naked and in a strange room. He goes to the living, sees the goofy doctor, and starts yelling at him and accusing him of rape. He was like, WHAT?!!! I did no such thing.

Aum’s friend:”You crazy doctor, you perverted doctor”–at this point, he is still sleep.

She walks over to the couch and screams, ‘you have truly harmed me!”
He must be a heavy sleep because he doesn’t wake up yet until she picks him and pushed him back down, then he wakes. He was completely startled. He puts on nerdy classes and patiently asked her, “oh you woke up?”

She starts pointing at him. “You evil dog! You stole from me.”

He misunderstands her and denies it. “Are you crazy? Have you misunderstood something, you should check your purse to see if you have everything.”—haha, love his expression around the 8:51 time mark.

She starts brewing up some random stuff to say and he’s terrified.

Aum’s friend:”You dare say that you stubborn man. You are you gonna say you didn’t steal from me?”

Chakrit’s doctor friend:”Relax, what are you talking about?”

Aum’s friend is completely losing it at this point, she quietly tells him:”you stole my virginity.”

He was like what?

Aum’s friend:’You opportunistic bastard, you saw that I was drunk that is why you stole from me. You bastard, you have ruined my life forever!”

He denies it. “I didn’t do it. I just thought of doing it, but I didn’t do it.”

Realizing he said the wrong thing, he stops himself. “That’s not right, I didn’t think of doing that. REALLY!”

She doesn’t like his explanation, so she attacks him. She knees him in the chest and does all these karate moves on him. It was freaking hilarious. Lastly, she kicked him in the neck.

As she is leaving, she runs into the maid who helped her last night. The maid explained everything. Obviously, she felt stupid.

Back to Aum and Chakrit’s 2010 lakorn “Koo Kaen Saen Ruk (My Beloved Foe)”, it’s produced by Polypus productions, a company that produces lakorns for both Ch7 and Ch3. This lakorn will be on Ch7. They had their prayer/opening ceremony today. I know little about it. I know ‘Kao’ Jirayu La-ongmanee is gonna be in it. Filming begins today and people are estimating, it will air by the end of the year.

Cherry and Chakrit are “Beyond Comparison”

I have been meaning to write up a summary post about this lakorn for some time now but things just kept coming up. It’s now airing today (March 16), in a few hours.

Beyond Comparison or “Neua Mek (Above the cloud)” is directed by renowned film director Nonzee Nimibutr, his film portfolio includes: “Jan Dara”, “Nang Nak”, and “Queen of Langkasuka”. As for lakorns, I can only recall one, last year’s action lakorn “Din, Nam, Lom, Fai (Earth, Water, Wind, Fire)” on Ch3. Is he good, I can’t say, I didn’t watch “Din, Nam, Lom, Fai” and I didn’t care for “Jan Dara” or “Queen of Langkasuka”. As for his latest TV series venture, I might watch. I do like Cherry and Chakrit as a couple. As for the plot, not bad. A little suspense, a little political intrigue, romance, good stuff.

The summary:

Payu (Chakrit Yamnam) is the son of Meka (Nophon “Ah’Too” Komarachoon), a popular politician with a good heart. Meka is a widower and a single father. He has raised his son Payu alone since the death of his wife years ago, when Payu was a boy. Payu loves his father dearly and like wise, Meka loves his son Payu dearly. They have a strong bond. Meka is dating Napa (Nok Sinjai), a confident police woman, she is the captain of the Special Investigation Unit.

Unlike Meka who has a good relationship with his son, Napa has a strained relationship with her daughter Fah (“Cherry” Khemupsorn Sirisukha). Her daughter Fah blames her for the death of her husband Akat, Fah’s father, he committed suicide. Since the death of Akat, Napa’s daughter Fah has distance herself from her. Fah went out on her own and graduated with a degree in computers. She works as a computer programmer and on the side, she does illegal hacking, which further puts a strain on her relationship with her police officer mother Napa.

Fate played a cruel joke on Payu and Fah, as both were framed for horrible crimes at the same time. At Payu’s graduation party, he earned a master degree from America, Payu was drugged  and all his party guests were murdered. Because he had the weapon (a gun) in his hands, he was blamed for murders. As for Fah, she was caught hacking and accused of soliciting drugs to kids. Both are innocent, though the evidence  clearly pointed to them as the culprit. Payu tried to seek help from his father, but his father acted coldly towards him, like wise with Fah with her mother. Both parents turned their backs on their children.

Though fate can be cruel,  fate can also be a blessing in disguise for fate brought them together. Payu and Fah met on the day they were being transported to prison, a killer was after them and they escaped together. Payu and Fah, realizing they were in the same boat, journeyed together to find the truth as to why people are after them. On their way, they met Torung (“Koi” Rachawin Wongviriya), a brassy young woman, and she joined them on their journey to find the truth. All three is are being hunted by Lieutenant Kraam (‘Art’ Pasut Baanyam), an enthusiastic young police officer who is part of the Special Investigation Unit.

As they dig deeper in their search for the truth, they discovered they are being hunted down by a governmental organization called the ‘organ’. The ‘organ’ is governed by 4 individuals, one of which is Payu’s father Meka. The ‘organ’ is an influential organization in Thai society, they work in the shadows, controlling the economic and political affairs of Thailand. Now the question is this, what do they want with Fah and Payu, you will have to watch it to find out.

In the backdrop of suspense and mystery, Fah and Payu fall in love as they journey together to prove their innocence. There is also a love triangle between Payu, Fah, and Torung.

Chakrit took his girlfriend to a wedding

And she be wearing the most hideous looking dress ever! Reminds me of the 1980s, back when I was still in my mother’s womb. The vine, rose thing doesn’t help the look either.

Chakrit’s friend and former co-star from the lakorn “Wimarn Sai (Sand Castle)”, ‘San’ Panomkorn Tangtatsawas married his long time girlfriend of 16 years ‘Gay’ Sirigan Piyagraiwuti at the Nai Lert Park Hotel in Bangkok yesterday (9/9/09).  Chakrit took his current girlfriend ‘Petch’ Boonyapa Benjarongkul as a guest to the wedding.

San and his wife Gay, they have been dating for so long, they started to look alike. Cute, nonetheless.

Chakrit is upset with the promotion of “Ex-lover”

-good gosh, I’m so exhausted, that is what I get for functioning on 3hrs of sleep. I had to get up early this morning, yet I slept at 5am. Nice move, Lyn.

I really wanted to write a post today about Chakrit and his debacle with the PR team of his latest work “Ex-lover” in how they are making him out to be a perv to promote the film, but I’m so tried. There has been news that he fondled or touch one of the female character’s breast during a love scene and something about him getting an erection during the water scene with “Gybzy” Wanida Termthanaporn. Chakrit is outraged. He is so upset, he has even contemplated leaving the Thai entertainment industry to live privately in America. He can’t take anymore of the negative publicity accusing him of being gay, of being a womanizer, and then the promotion of this film. He feels Avant (the production company for the film) and the director are not looking out for his best interest. Who else would generate these news unless the people promoting the film?

The film “Ex-lover” will be out in theaters this Thursday, August 27.

A video clip of Chakrit from talking about his outrage with the PR team of “Ex-lover”. He brought his mother along and Chakrit even cried. I do feel for him because Thai media is ridiculously absurd, I honestly think they make up stuff just to make news.

The love scene where Chakrit is accuse of going too far.

Good night, more coming tomorrow night.
