Ploy and Dome’s “Love can never die”

Real life ex-lovers Ploy Chermarn and Dome Pakorn Lum reunites in the lakorn “Ruk Mai Mee Wan Tai (Love can never die)” by Polypus productions. Dome is playing a cursed immoral, several of hundreds of years old. Ploy is a young woman who is clumsy and lovable. Her father is an archaeologist, which makes her very interested Dome’s character. Who is this man? What era is he from? She wants to know it all. Can you believe ‘Nak’ Charlie Trairat is in here playing someone older and a cop? He’s 17 years old. He’s like a puppy, all you want to do is pat him on the head and give a him cookie treat.

Dome has rejected many roles before this because he wanted to focus on his music.  The situation with him and Ploy–there shouldn’t be an issue. Both Ploy and Dome want people to NOT look back at their past, but focus on their work together, which is this lakorn.

“I have rejected many roles, even some with Polypus. I wanted to prove that I can work. I have talked to Ploy before we came here today. We are very ready. Ploy is very talented. I’m very earnest about this, I have been in the entertainment industry for 20 years, I want to try something new. I don’t think there will be an issue regarding Paint (his current girlfriend). She understands. She can differentiate between work and personal life. There will be some ‘guk-gik’ scenes. She understands. If you asked me if she can come to the set. Of course she can. It shouldn’t be an issue. This is work. There is nothing to be concern about.”

Ploy agrees. Their past together shouldn’t be an issue. They are grown and can separate work and their personal lives. Ploy has moved on and is happily dating singer/actor/college professor ‘Navin’ Tar Yaowapalakul, to whom she visited most recently in America.

“I have talked to Dome already. We can work together without any issues. We are all adults. There won’t be any jealousy issues. We want everyone to understand, this is work. We have talked. We know everyone will keep a close eye on us. There is no ‘return’. As for Paint, I met her recently. Though there is a gap between us, there shouldn’t be an issue, ” said Ploy.

Kids nowadays, they grow up fast

Dome Pakorn Lum may have been featured on the cover of Hamburger magazine for this month; however, I find myself more intrigue by 16 year old Charlie Trairat and his co-star from the 2008 film ‘Hormones’ , 18 year old ‘Pattie’ Ungsumalynn Sirapatsakmetha than anything else. They are young, hip, oozing with talent and sophistication. I love their inside photospread in Hamburger, it’s dark/chic/and modern.

When I was collecting these photos at Pantip forum, a comment left an impression on me. Well not really, it stood out, that’s all. A person noted how young Charlie and Pattie are, yet they look very mature. “Kids nowadays, they grow up fast,” was the comment. In this case, I would have to agree.

Look at those high heels, is it not cute to know Pattie is a shorty pie because we all know Charlie is not a tall lad.

“5 Junction” rakes in more than 100 million baht

…at the box office. Not too shabby. From the review overview, at Wise Kwai’s blog, it’s a pretty decent movie. He gives it a 4/5, I trust his taste, so I might watch it even thought it’s a horror film. Many of you already know, I hate horror films to the core, I don’t enjoy gore, I don’t enjoy a guy or a girl running around with an ax trying to kill people. Fake blood freaks me out too. Or ghosts aiming to spook you. Sorry, not a fan of the horror genre. I’m a wuss, what more can I say.

Any who, enough about me, “5 Junction” did really well in theaters and the cast and crew held a party to celebrate their success. I’m happy for the film, I’m a fan of all the lead actors. I find Nicole Theriault adorable. I respect Marsha Wattanapanich for being a brilliant actress and entertainer though I don’t listen to her music or watch majority of her work.

And oh my gosh, I have such a big ‘pee sao (noona, older woman)’ crush on 14 year old ‘Kao’ Jirayu Laoonmane. How can you not love this kid? He was the precocious child psychic in “Gae Roy Ruk (Trace of Love)”, the young Tong in “Love of Siam”, and the mischievous kid in “Prikthai and Baikao”, all fantastic performances. I love this kid and I hope to see him evolve as an actor in both lakorns and films. A future pra’ek in my book.

“Dan” Worawech Danuwong is in here too, fan thyself. And, 16 year old Charlie Trairat! Yep, another favorite. Loved him in “Fan Chan (My girlfriend)”, “Dorm”, and “Hormones”. Talent speaks volume, just like Kao, I hope to see more of Charlie in film and television.

If I was younger, maybe 12 years old, I would have pictures of Charlie and Kao in my subject notebook with heart stickers everywhere. You know you have done it before, I’m not the only former fangirl with weird tendencies.

The main cast at the party:

Charlie and Kao. Young fangirls, you may scream now!

Posters for new movie “5 Junctions” out

It’s a 5 part in 1 horror flick, starring “Dan” Worawech Danuwong, Marsha Wattanapanich, Nicole Theriault, 16 year old Charlie Trairat, and “Kao” Jirayu Laoonmanee, child actor from Rita and Rome’s lakorn “Gae Roy Ruk (Trace of Love)”. Three well-loved Thai singers and 2 talented child stars, good move. Got me interested.

“5 Junctions (5แพร่ง, 5 Praeng, Phobia 2)” will be release nationwide on September 9, 2009 (09-09-09).
