Vicky and Chai have set a date for their upcoming nuptials

Kinda sad for Chai’s younger brother Micky, his girlfriend top actress “Benz” Pornchita Na Songkhla is holding off on their nuptials.

‘In my household, they don’t want me to get marry yet,’ said Benz to the press dispelling the rumors that her family is rushing her to marry her long time boyfriend, comedian ‘Micky’ Boromwut Hiranyatsathiti.

‘We have to wait for the time being, when it is right, I will tell you–when we are really ready because it’s a big deal. There have been many people who marry and then get a divorce. Then are some who find happiness. We want to have happiness, so it is best we wait.’

Benz admits she is scared of the whole marriage thing, it is not a simple thing involving just two people, it’s involves many parties.

‘Yes, I am scared. Getting married is not just about two individuals. It involves their families too–your family, my family. We are both from very large families, there are many things we have to think about. P’Mick, he understands.’

Chai and Vicky Sunisa plan to wed on May 16, 2012–they are still not done planning yet. They have a place, but no dress.

2nd Annual Nataraja Awards 2011

The Nataraja Awards 2011 just finished airing a few hours ago on Ch5. Everyone looked great, BEAUTIFUL. No one was lip-synching when they had to sing the nominated best lakorn songs. Singers from the Star franchise, KPN franchise, and selected AF kids were grouped together to sing the songs. It was a live performance that bedazzled me, it was like a mini concert with all these talented young Thai singers.  I was blown away.

The duet between Gam and Patcha for the song “Pler Ruk Mot Jai (Absent-minded Love)” from the lakorn “Dok Ruk Rim Tang (Roadside Love Flower)” was one of the highlights of the show.

Though the show was beautifully orchestrated, it was a little off , Ploy Chermarn was not there to accept her Best Actress award for the lakorn ‘Rabam Duang Dao (The Star Dance)’, Ken Theeradeth had to awkwardly accept the award on her behalf. Ken presented the nominees and named the winner Ploy Chermarn but she never came up. There was an odd pause where Ken stood to the side waiting for Ploy to come up. Then he realizes she is not coming, so he had to accept the award on her behalf with a chuckle.  There is a whole discussion about this at Pantip. The first annual Nataraja Awards was amazing–this year,  some complained it lacked ‘ dara spirit’ because some of the nominees did not attend. ‘Chai’ Chatayodom Hiranyatsathiti and Ploy Chermarn won but did  not attend. “Aff” Taksaorn Paksukcharean and “Aum” Patcharapa Chaichuea who were nominated in the Best Actress category did not attend, it was quite noticeable too. For the Best Supporting Actor award, only one nominee was present, Puri Hiranpruk. It was really off.

Ken accepting Ploy’s award starts around the 5:20 time mark.

Vicky and Chai are still coy about their relationship

[I like the polo shirts, I would buy it. Do they ship internationally?]

“Vicky” Sunisa Jett and “Chai” Chatayodom Hiranyatsathiti have been together for quite some time now,  yet they continue to dodge questions on whether they are together or not and how serious their relationship is at this point. It’s always been ambiguous with these two, especially Vicky.

At a charity event sponsored by the Elephant Reintroduction Foundation and Robinson department store “Chuay Chang Glap Baan (Help Elephants returned to their habitat)”, Vicky and Chai posed together and  wore bright polo shirts with a mother elephant and her calf logo on them. The polo shirts will be sold at Robinson Department stores to help raise money to protect and preserve Thai elephants. They will come in 7 colors:white, black, purple, pink, orange, blue and green. Each will cost 1090 baht or $34 USD, that’s pretty expensive for average Thais.

Chai and Vicky modeled the polo shirts and talked to the media together. They were asked about their imaginary upcoming wedding and the status of their relationship which both tried to dodge.

This is the first time they have worked an event together, reporters noted, but Chai said no, this is not the first time. Vicky agreed. “We have done this before. This is for charity, it’s a good cause, we wanted to team up for charity.”

Reporters noticed that Chai seemed shy since Vicky was there too, he denied it. “I’m always like this. I don’t talk a lot.”

Update us about your love life, reporters asked. Vicky dodged the question by bringing up Chai’s currently airing lakorn, “Sai Soke’.

Vicky:”Are you talking about the lakorn “Sai Soke”, it’s very intense now (laughs).”

Chai:”Are you talking about the lakorn, have you watched it?”

Reporters:”Are you really ‘in’ to the lakorn.”

Vicky:”I am, I’m very ‘in’ to it.”

Reporters:”Do you love Bai (meaning mute. In the series Chai plays a character who is mute)?”

Vicky smiles:”I love Bai (meaning Chai), I love him.”

Do you love Chai?

Vicky doesn’t answer directly. “Bai acts well, he’s so unfortunate (laughs).”

Next question, they were asked about their upcoming spontaneous wedding. An elopement?.

Vicky was surprised:”Where did you that rumor from? From what source?”

Chai:”There won’t be any elopement. If I was to do anything, I would plan it all out.  Right now, we haven’t planned anything. Everything is still the same.”

Reporters heard that Vicky has been taking cooking lessons. She hasn’t, she is learning it on her own.

“I haven’t gone to take lessons, I can’t really cook. I just ask my mother for recipes to try it out. However it doesn’t taste very good.”

Reporters turned to Chai and asked if he liked her cooking.  He replied like a good boyfriend with a smile, “it’s very delicious, very tasty.”

Reporters wanted to know if she learning how to cook to practice being a good wife.

Vicky said no. “It’s not like that. I just wanted to learn because if I’m alone at the house, I have to cook for myself. It’s more about survival. I haven’t done a lot of cooking. I prefer eating.”

Vicky opens up about her relationship with Chai

By a very small margin. Vicky likes to keep it private.

Vicky did admit to occasionally having dinners with his family and she knows of the rumor that his mother disapproves of her.

About the dinners…”yes, I have eaten with them, it’s nothing, it was fine.”

About his mother disapproving of her relationship with Chai…”it has been normal, he doesn’t even know where this news came from. With his mother, we still talk normally. I occasionally see his mother and father, it has been good.”

The reporters noticed that Chai has gotten fatter and asked Vicky whether it is because of her.

“It has nothing to do with me. Regarding this, it would be better to ask him. The truth is he is not getting fatter, he has been working out more.” She answered. HAHA, she defended him.

Reporters:”You seem to be opening up more.”

“I’m not trying to,” Vicky replied.

The reporters then interrogated her about Chai and Chompoo Araya and whether she felt jealous of them. She simply answered ‘no’. There is gossip everyday, she doesn’t take it seriously.

Yep, that’s it. No details, no nothing. She admits to being close to Chai; however, it’s still a private matter.

I like her strategy, staying private is the best thing.
