3 Popular guys on the ‘Ratree Samosorn’ show

It’s a must watch episode of the ‘Ratree Samosorn’ variety show on Ch3 with guest appearances from Gun “Fluke” Kantathaworn, Pong Nawat, and Great Warintorn. The show started off with 2 little girls playing the ukulele, then ‘Kao’ Jirayu La-ongmanee and Jessie Mekwattana played a song on their ukulele, I didn’t really watch it. Good for you kids for learning to play the ukulele, apparently its all the rage among  indie wannabe Thai celebrities.

Segment 2 was what I was waiting for–Gun Kantathaworn, Pong Nawat, and Great Warintorn came out to talk about their love lives, past girlfriends, and their kiddy love experiences. Because Gun and Pong are friends outside the industry, I think Great felt like a third wheel in this situation because Pong and Gun were connecting stories back and forth while Great just sat there.

Before Gun would actively pursue a girl he has to ask her if she knows Pong Nawat, if she does, it is not a good thing.

Can you guess what? Look very carefully, everyone has different poses and different smiling faces, but just one person did not.

Young Thai Stars as ANIME characters

At the annual Oishi Cosplay Dance Mania Dance competition today, several young Thai stars dressed up as anime characters for the event’s fashion show. I recognize 8 people: Yuk Songpaisan, Gun “Fluke” Kantathaworn, Taew Nataporn, ‘Ploy’ Patsorn Kongmeesuk, Chat Priayachat, Nadech “Barry” Kugimiya, “Vill” Wannaros Sonthichai, and Guy Ratchanon. Don’t ask me what characters they are cause I don’t know. To me, they  all look like Sailor Moon characters.

Chat, Vill, and Taew in pink and blonde wigs.

Susie and Gun are clothed

Call me an old lady if you like, I like people clothed. I don’t mind flesh when it is tastefully done. Usually, I’m turned off by Volume magazine covers with half-naked Thai celebrities, overly air-bushed, trying to be sexy. It’s not sexy, it’s pasty. Volume is a  biweekly magazine, releasing two issues per month. The second issue for the month of June I was surprised, it featured Ch3′s Susira “Susie” Nanna and Gun “Fluke” Kantathaworn fully clothed in vintage Thai ? Chineses? royalty wear. From what ever culture, it’s simply eloquent.

Gap comes to Thailand

Rita and Kao

And several young Thai stars took part in the fashion show for the grand opening of the Gap Store at Central World yesterday.

Gap is doing well for itself, opening its first store in China and Italy and expanding its Banana Republic branch in Europe. Good. I’m a Gap and Old Navy shopper. I support.

I have to say, everyone looks depressed–from Bee Namthip to Boy Pakorn to Gun “Fluke” Kantathaworn to Woonsen to Nadech. Is it just me or is Kao the only person who looks happy? What’s the instruction for this fashion show…everyone just make it look like you’re going to a funeral. That’s the concept.
