Wanalee 2010 fitting pictures

I should have realized, this remake is going to be a big production. Let me give you the info. It’s produced by Piyawadee Maleenon, she produced “Taddao Bussaya” the remake with Por Thrisadee and Punch. It will be directed by Chookiat Sakveerakul, director of the Thai hit film “Love of Siam” back in 2007.

Cast and Characters:
“Por” Nattawut Skidjai as Sayam
Mew Laknara Piatha as Witchuda or Wit
James Reungsak as Sorat
Pongpat Wachirabunjong as Seua Son
“Ice” Waraphat Pechsathit  as Rithi Rong
“Oom” Lakhana Watnuangsiri as Sumarn
“Yuan” Nithichai Josamornsoontorn as Deputy Werachat
“Oh” Yada Chotichutrakun as  Sotsuay
Montree Jenaksorn as Khun Luang Phisan
“Tuk” Yanee Jongwisut as Khun Nai Jinda
“Mae Aed” Chomchai Chatwilai as Khun Ying Somsawat
“Mae Neng” Metta Roongrat as Nomkhlam
Richard Ghiani as Dek Der
“Pee Thai” Aekphan Banleurit as Ai Gong
“Chai” Weerachai Hatgowit as Ai Lat
“Fluke” Sikrinot Phonyong as Joy

Yea, I don’t know half of these people. This is like the beautified version of “Wanalee”, the original was edgy with average looking people. Sorat was a porky and kinda pathetic. He couldn’t get a date even if his life depended on it. All of the female police officers made fun of him because of his porky-ness.  Look at the modern version of Sorat played by James–my god, dude is tall and handsome. What the heck. Where they going with this lakorn. Last night, I watched little bit of Wanalee the original. It was dirty and spunky compared to what the remake will be. I just don’t know about this.

Aom and Art’s wedding reception

Ai! Both the bride and groom wore make-up, a thick layer too. Eeee…odd…I still like them. Aom and Art legally married  back in late August and was blessed by the Queen at her palace in Hua Hin along with four other couples. Because of scheduling, they held their wedding reception today at the Plaza Athenee hotel in Bangkok.

At their wedding press conference, the usual topics were discussed. Babies any time soon? Honeymoon any time soon?

For the honeymoon, nothing yet. They are both busy with work. Originally they wanted to go to Phuket for their honeymoon but a friend who was suppose to join them had to continue filming for “Ching Chang (Detest or Hate)”. I think she is referring to ‘Boy’ Takolkait Weerawan, a major executive of Exact productions or maybe Ann Alisa who is dating Puri Hiranpruk (Art’s cousin) and has a major role in “Ching Chang”.  Aom said she complained a little, Art put on a smile and corrected her, you complained a lot. Everyone laughed.

As for babies, not yet. Girl or boy? Art said he likes little girls. Hopefully she will be as beautiful as her mother, he continue to say. Aom wants a patriotic child. “When that person comes (meaning her child), I want him or her to be a good person and a good person for the country. A person who will love our country.”

Art is freaking hilarious. Apparently Aom talks a lot! This one time, he was watching TV and it was getting good, but she keep on talking. So he turned the TV off, the lights also, and went to bed. Since then, Aom realized she talks a lot and have tried to toned it down.

Aom will continue to work and will be a ‘plastic bag’ housewife for now. Because of her filming schedule and the fact that she can’t cook, she usually brings him ‘take out’, hence the ‘plastic bag’ reference.  Art said he doesn’t mind. When she is not around, he can eat anything. “When Aom is not around, I can eat anything whether it be pork, chicken, shrimp, because Aom does not eat pork, chicken, she doesn’t eat meat, and not even shrimp, ” said Art.

Check out the interview and pictures here.

A love torn apart by murder

Well, isn’t this complicated. As I read the synopsis of “Aom” Piyada Akarasene’s latest lakorn with Pong Nawat, “Proong Nee Gor Ruk Ter (Tomorrow, I’ll still love you)”, I begin to wonder how are they gonna get back together. This definitely won’t be a ‘happily ever after’ type of lakorn.

At the beginning, Pong and Aom are lovers, they are about to get marry. Then tragedy strikes. Pong’s older sister played by Pin Kejmanee murders Aom’s older sister because she believes Aom’s sister and her husband played by James Ruengsak are having an affair. Complicated stuff. Naturally, after the killing, Pong and Aom break up.

Being me and having a strong relationship with my older brother, I don’t think I can handle associating myself with family members of the person who murdered my brother, no matter how ‘nice’ they are. It would be too emotionally draining. There is an intense/immense loyalty between two people who have grown up together, who have molded each other, who have fought and defended each other, and who are genetically linked. The sibling bond between my brother and I is very strong, his murder would be unforgivable. With that said, how will Aom and Pong’s relationship ever work out? If I was Aom’s character, I don’t think I can do it.

This lakorn will also have a gay love story between Oh Anuchit and “Fluke”  Pachara Thammon aka Fluke: the Star 5. Interesting. Though both claim to be heterosexuals, both are believed to be gay by the Thai media. Oh Anuchit has admitted to having a girlfriend but still he can’t shake off the gay rumors. As for Fluke, he just looks like a girl and was raised by a man who looks like a woman. Bkkdreamer has more on that here. Because some people can’t separate lakorn from reality, Oh and Fluke will definitely be swarmed with ‘are you gay’ questions when this lakorn airs.

The White Team won

[Ken and Aff at the event, click to enlarge Aff's picture]

Damn, that’s a lot of people. They filled the stadium. Today March 29, 2009, soccer and Ch3 fans flooded to the Rajamangala National Stadium, the biggest sports arena in Thailand, to watch Ch3 male celebrities compete with each other in a soccer match to celebrate Ch3′s 39th year anniversary. Aum Atichart’s white team won, 8 to 7. Even though Ken Theeradeth’s green team lost, he wins in life and also the award for man of the match.

The event also had a mini concert: “Ruj” Suparuj Taychathanon, boyband Nice 2 Meet U, Parn, and Chaiya Mitchai (that effeminate morlum singer) performed. “Dan” Worawech Danuwong arrived on a helicopter and the crowd went WILD! Dang, Dan is awesome.

Tao “I enjoy beating up an elderly man at a dumpling soup shop” Somchai, who also participated, was injured. HAHA. Karma?

Everyone from Ch3 participated in the soccer match, from minor stars to mega-Ch3 stars…Ken, Aum, Tack, Num Sornam, Tang Saksit, Hoi, Ple, Mart, Por, Great, Tah, director Pongpat and etc.

I was watching it and I thought it very cute how when they foul each other, they give each other a hug to apologize—there were so many guy-hugs in this soccer match.

Damn, they take their soccer seriously. Ch3′s news anchorman acted as a goalie for the green team and singer James Ruengsak played goalie for the white team.

The massive crowd.

Watch it at youtube.

In total, there are 22 videos. This is video 13/22, Dan Danuwong’s performance.
