Thank you for loving me

Roughly a week ago, actor Oil Thana confessed on the “Woody: Gert Mai Kui (Woody: Born to Chat)” show that out of all the las chicas that he has formerly dated, he loved Joy Rinlanee the best and she was his longest relationship. In response to Oil’s declaration of love, Joy says ‘thank you’ and says it’s nice to know and it made her feel good. Wow, he cried on National TV and she is nonchalant about it. Compared to Oil, Joy has moved on.

“I feel good about it. It’s a good feeling we have for each other. If you asked if I was dumbfounded, no I wasn’t because I already knew about it from the media beforehand that the interview will be conducted like that. I did watch it. I feel thankful that he still has those feelings for me. If someone tells us that they love us, of course it will make us feel good,” says Joy.

From the Oil-Woody interview, there is an assumption that Oil still loves Joy, Joy said she doesn’t know and probably doesn’t care.  “Regarding that, I don’t know. You have to go and ask him (laughs). As for myself, I still have good feelings for him. But not has a boyfriend. When people break up, they don’t have to be angry at each other, or not look at each other, we can still be friends. We don’t have to develop our relationship into a couple, we can be friends.”

Oil and Joy haven’t seen each other in years but occasionally they talk on the phone. “If there is nothing going on, then we don’t call each other. The most recent call from him was to tell me was going on a show. ‘I’m going on a show na’. For New Years, I sent him a greeting like normal but it wasn’t just for him. I sent that to everyone whose number I have on my phone, they all got the same message because it’s a good holiday greeting we say to one another. It wasn’t special (meaning it wasn’t specifically meant for Oil). Will I accept event work with him, probably not because I don’t want to flow with the rumors (news) and no one is contacting us about that. Plus, I’m not a person who would do something like that for publicity. He’s not like that either.”

Joy is still single and doesn’t feel obligated to find a man. “I hate talking on the phone anyways. Even though I had a break for New Years, I stayed home. I don’t feel like I need a boyfriend. I feel  alright already. I like spending my life like this. If I have one (she means boyfriend), then I will have one. I don’t feel the need to have anyone.”

Oil Thana loved Joy Rinlanee the best

Say what? They dated? I didn’t know that and apparently he loved Joy Rinlanee the best out of all his former girlfriends too. HOLY!

Airing this Sunday on the Modern 9 channel, Oil Thana will appear on the “Woody: Gert Mai Kui (Woody: Born to Chat)” show to talk about love and work. During the interview, Woody asked Oil a question that caught him off guard. Out of all his former girlfriends, did he love Joy Rinlanee the best. Oil was stunned and did not answer but did nod to agree and even teared up. HOLY! I’m definitely watching it now. Love the suspenseful drama.

On the show, Oil explained to Woody why he has been private about his relationships.

“I don’t like to talk about others whether it be good or bad. When a couple breaks up, it’s usually the woman who loses face. I think it’s a personal issue between two individuals. ” he told Woody.

Oil even shared his past relationships to Woody without giving names. “My longest relationship was 4 years and my shortest was 1 year. I loved each person I have dated. If I’m in a relationship and she is not the one, I don’t resist it. Most of the time, I did the dumping. Sometimes the woman wants to ask to break up but does not dare to say anything. I think it is the responsibility of the man to say something. Then it will not turn out as bad as it could be. It is the best option. Mostly, when I break up with someone, it’s about personality–different people, different style, and it doesn’t go together. At the beginning, it’s about promoting the relationship, everything is beautiful.”

Woody asked Oil if he was too private with his girlfriends, meaning he kept his guard up even with them. He said yes. “I tried my best, I’m a person who is not a good talker. I’m a still person, who doesn’t speak all the time. If they understand, then it’s okay. Some don’t understand and think I’m angry at them or sulking. The truth is, it’s nothing. Right now, I’m single, I have no girlfriend. Before, I did not date for very long time, now I date longer. I don’t want to be hurt and I don’t want to hurt other people because of my unsureness. I think it is best to date someone to whom you are sure of.”

Has Oil ever cried over love? According to Oil, heck yea!

“Yes, I have. I’m naturally a weepy guy. Most of the time, it’s when we don’t understand each other. I’m a person who is not a good talker. I don’t talk, I just take action more so.”

Oil said that when he dates someone, he likes to go out rather than saying home. He loves to watch movies, usually he likes to go on movie dates–dinner and then a movie. Nowadays he doesn’t do that often because of the paparazzi. He stays home more, he doesn’t want the paparazzi to take a picture of his girlfriend, if he was dating someone. That’s depressing, people are just invading his privacy.

It’s rare to see Oil talk about his personal life, you better enjoy it for all its worth, Oil fans.

UPDATE:

Holy, I just watched the Woody and Oil interview and YES Oil did tear up when she answered the question that out of all his former girlfriends, he loved  Joy Rinlanee the best.  He loves her because she knows how to be her own person. He once asked her why she loved him, she answered that she loves him for him. Not because he is Oil Thana, the pop idol or actor. She was his longest relationship, they dated for 4 years. When he went to the army, he wrote to her everyday. Wah!

A clip from the show where he said that he loved Joy the best, the most, the utmost.

Nok Chatchai and his four wives

Come on now, another icky lakorn is being remade. Why? I’ll pass on this one also. An older man with multiple wives is just not my cup of tea. “Mongkut Dok Som (The orange blossom crown)” from 1996 is a lakorn about a Thai man of Chinese heritage who has 4 wives ranging from old to young, it is the Thai lakorn version of Zhang Yimou’s acclaimed film, “Raise the red lantern.”

This version will have “Nok” Chatchai Plengpanich be the patriarch of this dysfunctional family. His first wife is played by Jariya Anfone (she is an older woman roughly around her mid 50′s). “Joy” Rilanee Sripen is the beautiful, sassy second wife who is having an affair, I believe in the Thai lakorn and in the film, she is killed off. “Nampueng” Nattharika Thammapreedanan is the third wife. On the surface she appears kind and gentle, really she is cunning and evil. In the original 1996 version, Nampueng was the nang’ek and the third wife. For this version, she is playing the main villain who is the second wife. How ironic. The youngest, the fourth wife, and the nang’ek of this lakorn is played by “Gybzy” Wanida Termthanaporn.

Nice paper dress

“Joy” Rilanee Sripen rocking that ruffled paper dress for an environmental event, “Campaigns and Solutions for Global Warming: Green Plus” at the district of Phayathai. Do you like? I think it’s awesome, just pray it doesn’t rain when you’re wearing it.

To save on gas, ride a bike.

An update on “Moonlight Crown”

Pictures from Rita’s fanclub from the lakorn set. Ah…Rita’s wedding dress for the force marriage scene. It looks like a wedding cake on top and clusters of puffy pink cherry blossoms on the bottom. No offense, it’s kinda ugly. At least her make-up is flawless.

I wonder if they talk? From what I know about Andrew, he is not much of a speaker, he is not chatty, he comes off as distant to many of his co-stars. He does his scene and quickly go into his own corner. Andrew is literally the tall, handsome, silent type.

Joy Rinalee’s interview with TV-Inside magazine

You don’t hear much about Joy Rinalee, nang’rai from “Jamleuy Ruk (Defendant of Love)”. She does her thing, model on the side, film lakorns quietly. When it’s time to promote her lakorn, she promotes. No fuss, no drama. Very discrete. Even in this interview she doesn’t disclose much. Rather than giving a concise answer about her love life, she diverts the question by saying there are different types of love, a relationship love between a man and woman is not important as other types of love–friend love, family love, love for work are more important. Younger actresses should learn a thing or two from Joy about keeping their personal life private. Being private gives you longevity in this business.
