6th Annual Chalermthai Awards

Pantip’s 6th annual Chalermathai Movie Awards, winners are selected by popular vote from members of Pantip forum. The event was held today at the Paragon Cineplex.

Winners:
Best Song-”Fan, Wan, Ai, Joop” from “Fan, Wan, Ai, Joop (Dream, Sweet, Shy, Kiss)”
Best Script- “Got (Hug aka Handle me with Care)”
Best Actor: Ananda Everingham for “Happy Birthday”
Best Actress: Yanin “Jeeja” Vismistananda for “Chocolate”
Best Supporting Actress: “Ploy” Cherman Boonyasak for “4 Praeng (4 Junctions)
Best Supporting Actor: “Vaan” Ratchu Surajaras for Hormones
Best Director: Pongpat Wachirabunjong for “Happy Birthday”
Film of the Year:“Got (Hug aka Handle me with Care)”

Ananda was a no-show again. I love you Ananda, come out and play once in a while.

Pchy is adorable, Ploy is gothic, Jeeja looks older than her age.

Once Skinny, Now Round

I have to laugh looking at these “before” pictures because this is the first time I have seen them like this. To me they are just older male actors, who continuously take minor father roles or bizarre older gentleman roles in lakorns to which you want to fast-forward through. It’s bizarre seeing them this skinny, young, and handsome. If I was a teeny bopper back in the late 80′s, I would totally go bananas over them.

The picture above is of veteran actor, Tin Settachok, back in his early 20s. Handsome right? Tall and sophisticated. At present, Tin takes up father roles in lakorns for Ch7. His lakorn “Jaew Jai Rai Gub Khun Chai Taewada” with Pae Arak and Aum Patcharapra is currently on air. Tin plays Pae Arak’s neglectful father.

Thon Chakrit was pra’ek once, back when he was skinny and young. Now he plays a wide range of older male characters. He played a gay man in “Pleuk Seneaha“, an Exact lakorn for Ch5 with Kathaleeya McIntosh and Pong Nawat. I believed he tried to sexually harassed Puri Hiranpruk’s character in the lakorn. It was kinda creepy.

His most recent work I can recall was in “Sai Seup Delivery (Spy Delivery)” on Ch3, he was the police Captain who had a minor crush on Yardthip’s mother.

Opening night pictures of Nok Sinjai and Kob’s stage play

The opening night of “Neua Koo 11 chaak jak wan ruk…teung wan laa ( a couple’s 11 scene from the day they fell in love…to the day they broke up)”, a stage play starring Nok Sinjai and “3Num3Mum Tonight” variety show host Kob Songsit about the trial and tribulations of a couple from the time they fell in love to their disgruntled middle age years and impending breakup. Aerin Siripon from “Gaew Lom Phet” is casted as Nok and Kob’s daughter for the play.

TV Host Kob weds long time Gf

Congrats to singer and TV host of Ch5′s “3 Num 3 Mum” Kob Songsit (41), he married his long time girlfriend Siriluk Thaptim (33) yesterday October 17.

The couple meet at a friend’s bar 10 years ago, she was 23 at the time. A friend introduced them and he dropped her the lamest pick-up line ever, “So are you going to study aboard because if you are, I won’t be able to pursue you.” She took the bait and replied “No, I’m not going to study aboard”. His response back, “Okay, on the 20th, I’ll come and court you.” According to Siriluk, exactly on the 20th, he started courting her. LOL. What a dork! And also wow, after 10 years of dating, now they’re marrying.

Kob never proposed, he just gave her his mother’s diamond ring as a present and she knew. Years ago, his mother brought 3 rings for her 3 sons as wedding rings for their brides. He decided to get married because he is getting older and everyone around his age is married.

Siriluk works for TrueVision TV in the production department. The couple do not plan to honeymoon anytime soon because he has 2 lakorns lineup for filming and she has a busy work schedule.

Siriluk and Kob had a normal traditional wedding ceremony in the morning followed by a reception at the grand hall of the Plaza Athenee hotel in Bangkok.
