My house shook!

[my house from google maps ]

Roughly an hour ago, my house shook twice. The windows rattled especially in my room, everyone was startled. Everyone got out of their beds.My grandfather came downstairs. My dad called out for me:“Lyn, did you hear that?” I was dazed and confuse. It’s 12 o’clock in the morning. My dad went down to the basement to check if the heater combusted, my mother checked the windows. It was weird. We looked at each other and asked, “what just happened?”

The house is intact. No damages. Nada!

My dad and I went outside to look around, we found nothing. We knocked on Mark’s door, Mark is our neighbor who lives in the house beside us, the side where the sound came from, he heard nothing. Mark has a dog. According to Mark, his big ass dog didn’t make a sound.

HMMM…..odd? Why did we hear it and not him? Why didn’t his dog react? Dogs are sensitive to natural disasters, aren’t they? Sensitive hearing? Frequency wave detection?

Possibilities:

1.Thunder? It is drizzling;however, thunder does not sound like that. It sounded like something rammed into our house or something fell on the roof.

2.Landslide? We do live in a limestone ground setting. Possible.

3.Earthquake? We live in the East Coast and not California. Maybe not.

4.Aliens? HAHA, seriously! When I went outside and found no damages, I thought the Aliens have landed and they’re hiding in the bushes.

My dad ordered me to call my older brother to ask if they experienced anything weird too at his apartment complex. Nope, everything is fine.

Me:“Sae, are you guys okay? Our house shook and dad asked me to call you to see if you guys were okay? Did you experienced anything weird.”–Note, my brother lives with his girlfriend.

Sae:“Huh? What? NO….we’re fine. Our apartment didn’t shake.”

Me:“Oh, so it can’t be an earthquake.”

Sae:Maybe it’s a landslide, the house is sitting on limestones. Or better yet, dad should call around, haha, to see if someone died.”

Me:“Huh? Why”

Sae:“The house might be haunted.”

Me:“NO! You’re retarded! The house is not haunted.”

It’s just WEIRD! Tomorrow, or maybe on Monday, we’re getting our house checked out.

My 80 year old grandfather was in a state, he suspects a landslide. Oddly, my grandmother is fine.
