Well-wishes for Paula and Edward

I should I have written this up the day of the wedding, time constraint preventing me from doing so. Plus, a few days after the wedding, more pictures are available online for us to gawk at. This post is just an excuse to provide a picture link and to post wedding pictures. Check out more pictures from Paula and Edward’s wedding from their photographer’s facebook account here.

Well wishes from a few of Paula’s friends, not a lot, just a few.

Son and Vill does Image magazine

Image December 2009 issue, love what the girls are wearing, hate the guy leggings. On the cover, we have Son “Yuk” Songpaisan, Kem Rujira in the cream shorts (very cute by the way), actor Jason Young (did you notice his tattoo?), Wannaros“Vill” Sonthichai (I like the pink flower on vine garland around her head, the  chaotic geometrical print dress is very chic, something different), and then Matthew Deane.  The scenery is beautiful, the clothes not so much.

The inside fashion spread–they got Yuk in all sorts of ugly looking swimwear. Not feeling the blue leggings, the blue swim shorts, the white and black jacket, the red hat–I especially hate the red hat! I have no comments on the first pic, I’m just not feeling it.

The 2nd season of Superstars

[ former contestants from season 1]

The theme for this year is ‘Fantasy world’. Superstars is a reality show where they recruit D-list stars, have them live together, put them into groups each week, and train them to do musical numbers for weekly shows. It reminds me of dancing with the stars but not really. It’s a more flashy show, they don’t have trained professionals helping them out on stage, and the style is more like a cabaret show. Let me tell, the show is colorful.

The contestants are competing for a truckload of money. Last year, ‘Gof Akara Amarttayakul won. He took home 10 million baht (286,956.40 USD) in cash and other prizes. In total, he won 17 million baht (487,825.8749 USD). Yes, a whole lot of “Do-Ri-Me”. The last standing 3 finalist don’t leave empty-handed  either. Fluke, Tak Bongkot, and Jik Naowarat, last years losing finalist, took home prizes worth more than 2 million baht (57,391.2794 USD). Not too shabby.

Last year there were 14 contestants. This year, there are only 10. Superstars will air every Saturday nights at 9:30pm on Modern 9 starting September 26, 2009. You can check out their website here.

The new contestants:

Film and lakorn actor, Oil Thana. I don’t consider him a D-lister. What is he doing on this show?
