Pictures for Akkanee’s Heart

I can’t believe it– “Duang Jai Akkanee (Akkanee’s Heart)” is airing next week on November 5, 2010, making it a weekend prime time lakorn replacing Kim and Aum’s Tara Himalaya. It’s a good thing. I am happy. Less waiting. Yea!

“Akkanee’s Heart” stars Nadech “Barry” Kugimiya and Yaya Urassaya Sperbund as two rivals in everything–school, work, personal life. From the lakorn Tara Himalaya to Akkanee’s Heart, Nadech’s character is the hot-headed Akkanee (Fai) and Yaya Urassaya is Ajjima (Jeed) his equal. They grew up together, they have been competing with each other since they were kids because her father Pisarn (‘Nino’ Metanee Buranasiri) is still resentful that his mother chose his father over him.

Akkanee’s father Khun Montree (played by ‘Num’ Santisuk Promsiri) married his mother Supansa (“Mam” Jintara Sukhapat) and they joined their land together making their farm one of the biggest in the region. Jeed’s father is not resentful because he lost the girl, he is resentful because he lost out in having the biggest farm in the region. Since then, there have always been bad blood between the two families which dripped down to their children, especially Jeed and Akkanee.

They live in the same neighborhood, went to the same school, went to the same university, majored in the same subject agriculture, studied in the same classroom, constantly competing/arguing with each other since the day they were born. After graduating from university, they had a few  years of separation. Jeed went to study in Denmark, Fai stayed in Thailand and worked as a civil servant for a province for 2-3 years before moving to America to look after his sister Thiptara (Nam) as she studied for her doctrine in medicine.

Years later, both come back to Thailand to manage their families’ dairy farm and they continue where they started–constantly fighting, constantly competing. Eventually, a friend’s wedding brings them closer and makes them realize that they like each other more than they hate each other. Their former classmate from their university days, Wirat or Yai (Jirayu Toncharoen) invited and asked them to participate in his wedding in Phuket. Jeed is asked to be a bridesmaid and Akkanee is the best man. As they prepare for the wedding, they see more of each other and something started to click between them.

At Phuket for the wedding, the owner of the resort for the wedding Pruk started to pursue Jeed, which really irritated Akkanee. He became jealous and tried every method to break them apart. Because of his jealousy, Akkanee created a lot drama days before the wedding and bickered a lot with Jeed. At the joint bachelorette and bachelor party, they had their showdown of bickering and competing with one other which included dancing to see who was the better dancer. After a night of heavy drinking, they found themselves waking up in bed together. They don’t know what happened. I’ll leave it at that.

Cheesy cute scenes shown of “Akkanee’s heart” on the “Ratree Samosorn” show when the cast was there. The clips should start around the 5:48 mark.

Akkanee’s Heart teaser

Out of the 4 part “Kao Yai (Big Mountain)” or 4 Hua Jai Haeng Khun Khao (4 Hearts of the Mountain) series to celebrate Ch3′s 40th anniversary, I think I will like “Akkanee’s Heart (Duang Jai Akkanee)” the best. Already in Tara Himalaya, I am smitten with the hot-heated Akkanee (Fai) played by Nadech “Barry” Kugimiya. I love his rudeness, his hotheadedness, his being the muscle man among his 2 brothers. His name is ‘Fai (Fire)’ for a reason, he’s a spontaneous muscle man who reacts without thinking.

Info on the 4 siblings who will have their own series in 4 Hua Jai Haeng Khun Khao (4 Hearts of the Mountain”

Patapee (Din) played by Mark Prin is the oldest and the one giving out the orders, the organizer where as Wayupak (Lom) played by Boy Pakorn, the Cassanova of the family, he’s the laid-back one in the family.

Din manages the family’s hotel business
Fai runs the family’s farm
Lom runs the family’s winery
Nam, the youngest and the only girl in the family is a doctor.

They’re quadruplets created via the GIFT procedure, similar to in vitro-fertilization.

In “Akkanee’s Heart (Duang Jai Akkanee)”, Nadech’s love interest is ‘Yaya’ Urassaya Sperbund, they are neighbors and rivals who later in the series will fall in love and get married.

The underwater kiss.

Janie and Nadech for Praew

I would definitely watch the Thai version of 2007 Kdrama “Dal’s Spring” about an older woman  (spinster age) who falls in love with a much younger man. Janie would play “Oh Dal Ja” and Mr. “Way too Sexy for his Age” Nadech can be the more experienced, free-spirited “Kang Tae Bong” originally played by Lee Min Ki. Realistically it could work considering Nadech (19) is a decade younger than Janie Tienposuwan (29).

Nadech and Cindy for Volume magazine

Nadech “Barry” Kugimiya and “Cindy” Sirinya Burbridge showing off their hot bod for the cover of Volume magazine August 2010 issue.  Considering I am a few years older than Nadech, whenever I look at him, I think ‘oh my gosh’ he is barely legal, born in the 90s. That is just wrong. Wrong. We are not even born in the same decade. Yes, I am uptight about age.

Looking at Cindy, I’m green with envy. Didn’t she just have a baby, like 9-10 months ago. This is insane, woman what have you been doing and eating cause I wanna know your routine. Geez Louise. Cindy’s husband and daughter Leila were also featured in the magazine, they make such a happy looking family.

She resembles her daddy more than her mommy.

Janie and the bear cub

The person who shared this at Pantip wrote:’Janie and the Bear Cub for Praew magazine coming soon.’ Did I miss something, is Nadech now refer to as Look Mee (baby bear, baby bear cub)? I’m noticing a scar on his lower right abs (left in the picture). Is it a cut? Whatever, lets just stare.

Below is a clip of Nadech talking about his mom and how he is not embarrassed to tell her he loves her anymore. His mom is standing beside him too, he looks just like her, especially the eyes and nose. Yaya is also in this clip, she looks like the farang and taller version of her mom.

Nadech:”In front of a lot of people, I have never done it. Many people might be embarrassed to tell their mom they love them. Today, I don’t feel embarrassed to tell my mom I love her.”

Vill and Nadech for Wrangler jeans

Pictures of Vill and Nadech at an event for Wrangler jeans, “Wrangler Give A Life”, from July 8th. It’s a charity event or charity campaign sponsored by Wrangler to encourage the Thai people to donate blood for the Red Cross Society. They are hoping for a 10 million cc. Is that a lot, I know nothing about blood or blood donation. I’ve never done it. Good for them, it’s a good cause.
