“I’m not the daddy” screams Great

Two spoiled pop stars, an unplanned pregnancy, and we have a guy who must bear the brunt of the responsibility in Ch3′s weekend lakorn “Pleng Ruk Rim Fah (A Love Song at the Horizon)”, premiering this Saturday, August 21, 2010.

Hey, Mr. Pop Thakoon is pretty snazzy with his white pimp hat, no shirt vest, and flat stomach. I’ll watch it just for him for his outlandish hip-hop outfits. I’ll mock and I’ll laugh.

Pat Napapa is a pop star in this one, a popular singer, who finds herself pregnant. I’m sure  the identity of her baby daddy will be revealed near the end. For now, her character Neera or Namtan pins the responsibility on our pra’ek Ben played by Great Warintorn, who is not too happy about it.

If he lived in America, I’m pretty sure he would be heading straight to the Maury Povich show to part of the their “Who’s the Daddy?” segment. Once Maury opens the white envelope and proclaim Ben as not the father, Ben would be doing the ‘happy’ dance and telling everyone, ‘I told you so, I didn’t even touch her’. The Maury Povich show is trash TV, yet I like it.

Ben is forced by his much older half-brother Borom (Montri Jenuksorn), the boss of the record company Namtan is signed under, to take responsibility for Namtan’s baby. They have to save face, protect Namtan’s image. Someone has to do it, Ben is forced to. He doesn’t like, but he does it claiming always that he is not the father and does not want to take responsibility.

Namtan moves into Ben’s house along with her older cousin Kidakarn (“Benz” Pornchita Na Songkhla). Kidakarn is there for support, to keep an eye on Ben because from what she knows, she believes Ben is the father, though he is not. She is there to nag. Kidakarn and Ben would fight often but there is chemistry between them. Ah…you know where I’m going with this. Kidakarn and Ben equals the PRANANG (leading couple).

Namtan’s baby daddy is Bee (Pop Thakoon), Borom’s son, and Ben’s nephew. He’s a singer also, who is preparing for his debut as an artist. Bee doesn’t want to accept responsibility for Namtan’s child because she has a reputation for sleeping around. E.

Pat’s new face

Before and After pictures

Yesterday, before I left for work, I was watching a Thai entertainment news clip about Pinky and then about Pat’s swollen face. When I saw Pat, I just shook my head in this dismay. I literally thought, what the hell is wrong with you and what kind of excuse are you giving out now. Her excuse, inflamed salivary glands. Not plastic surgery or botox. She did none of those. Hmmm…okay. Dirtii Laundry beat me to the story, you can read about her excuse at their site.  I just have to give my take on it. It is just….what the hell is wrong with her?

This whole incident brings back memories of what happened to Korean Singer Solbi. She started out looking cute and natural, then she turned into a plastic horror story. Hopefully, it’s just botox and she hasn’t had work done on her face. Botox can wear away. Surgery does not. It needs correction.

Solbi started out looking cute and natural. Because of low-esteem about her looks, she decided get plastic surgery on her face. Back in March 2009, Korean netizens had a field day when Solbi appeared on Music Core with a swollen face.Obviously it was because of plastic surgery. Sobli denied having anything done. A few months later, she admitted to it.  And look at her face now, she kept getting work done on her face. Her nose turned into a Michael Jackson nose. Eeeee…not a good look.

Just like Korean netizens about Solbi, Thai netizens are having a field day with Pat. They don’t believe her.

Pat and Min have gone astray

Not my words. Personally, I don’t care. Your body, you can do whatever the hell you want. Not my problem. Lyn doesn’t judge. Thai netizens do. Boy, do they. Thai netizens already disapprove of the way “Aum” Patcharapa Chaichuea dresses to award events and also her risque outfits at show events,  now that Min Pechaya and Pat Napapa are following Aum’s path, Thai netizens are shaking their heads in disapproval.

When Min, Pat, and Aum showed off their ta tas at the ” THE MALL BEAUTY AHOLIC” event, Thai netizens had a lot of things to comment on.

“The size of their breasts are the size of a child’s head, but their brains are smaller than their breast,” said one Thai netizens.

“Is this a silicone exhibition or what? Why are they all full? Why do they cram it in when it hurts,” said another.

Others condemned Min and Pat for doing this fashion show. They are ruining society and themselves for doing this. I know, sometimes Thai netizens can be a little dramatic. I’m not saying they are wrong, I just think they go overboard sometimes.

“Nong Min, stop doing things like this. Your appearance can help you become famous without selling sexsy (not my spelling, the person spelled it like that). Don’t disappoint me. Think of me. I beg of you, keep it hidden so that I can be the only person who sees it.” –okay, dude is perverted.

“Nong Min, you have made the wrong decision. It was just recently you entered the ET industry, now you’re showing off your chest. You have disappointed us older people. Before you were a kid who was into sports, [something I don't know], now you have change into a person who simulates, who teases sexual desires. You have turned bad. The ET industry can change every innocent, beautiful girl into a self-indulgent person. Every one of them. Min is regrettable.”

“Nong Pat has gotten her face done, I don’t like it at all. Every time I look at you, you’re not pretty anymore. You look prettier back then. What a waste.”

“I want to tell Nong Min something, you don’t have to be like Aum in every way. You came after her. You have the right to choose the things that are good about Aum because you are a cute girl, you have innocence. Those are the things you have. You don’t have to show off your chest like her. I’m just disappointed.”

“Stop making our society deteriorate. This is the wrong social fashion. A trade for money. I feel sorry for our youth who have to be surrounded by this, nonsense media. Rotten. People who are famous are always like this, they deteriorate like this. All of them. They conduct themselves in a deteriorating way. How could they do this. Their brain is smaller than their breast (I want to borrow that, I like the phrase very much).”

Hey look– First, Mario, and Tony were there too.

3 brothers, 1 girl

Premiering this coming Saturday June 26 is “3 Hua Jai (3 Hearts), starring Pat Napapa, Boy Pakorn, Alex Rendell, and “Ace” Worarit Vaijiaranai and is directed by Khun Pisan Akarasene (Aom Piyada’s father). Three hearts represent 3 brothers with very different personalities and in different stages of their lives, who fall for the same girl played by Pat Napapa.  She likes them all like her brothers but one stood out.

The plot starts off with an attempted rape of Chom (Pat) by her stepfather. Chom is a final year nursing student whose foster mother had just recently passed away, her stepfather who has been secretly lusting after her starts to make his desires known since no one is around anymore to stop him. When he tried to rape her, Chat (Alex) happens to be around the area and saves Chom. He takes her to his home to live with his family which includes his mother and 2 older brothers: Chan (Ace) and Chai (Boy). Her presence causes a rift between the 3 brothers because all 3 fell in love with her. The rift is especially heated between Chan and Chat, the oldest and youngest brother. Then something unexpected happened to Chat and Chan which lead to their deaths. As with Chai, he is falsely accuse of a crime he did not commit and was sent to jail. The summary question asked if Chom will wait for Chai when he gets out, obvious yes because she has no other brothers to choose from.

The three brothers from oldest to youngest: Chan (Ace), Chai (Boy, and Chat (Alex). All three are very different, it’s like night and day.

Chan is the oldest and is describe as a man who is very competitive, he hates losing. He’s a lawyer and extremely intelligent. From the outside, he looks like a selfish man, but really he’s a virtuous man. Compared to his two younger brothers, he is the most cunning of them all.

Chai is the second oldest and approximately 2 years younger than Chan. He’s a pessimistic, kind-hearted individual with a heart of gold. Compared to Chan who is more analytical, Chai is the artsy brother who loves cooking, crafts, and music. Chai is a boxer, a very good one too.

Lastly we have Chat, the youngest, the baby of the family. He’s a teenager, a final year secondary student.  He’s temperamental, impatient, doesn’t think before he acts. He uses his fist more then reasoning. With Chat, you see what you get. He’s not cunning all at.

Por and Pat once again

I know many of you are tired of the Pat and Por pairing, trust me, it was nobodies’ intention this time around. Originally the nang’ek role went to Margie Rasee, she was there for the fitting and the opening ceremony but later quit because filming conflicted with her school studies. Pat became her replacement.

There is not much to say about Pat Napapa and ‘Por’ Thrisadee Sahawong’s new lakorn, “Sanaeha Ngern Tra(Money for Love)”, it’s your typical slap and kiss lakorn with a stupid pra’ek who suffers from a prejudice against women (to him, they are all money hungry bores) and a nang’ek who comes from a pathetic, string me a sympathy violin score background. Her father was a total bastard who cheated on her mother. On one stormy/ rainy day when nang’ek was 10, her father brought his mistress over to the house, got into an argument with her mother and accused her mother of having an affair and nang’ek is the product of that affair. Since that day, her mother went insane. When ever it storms, her mother would verbally and physically abuse her. She blamed the whole incident on her daughter instead of her bastard husband. Nice one lady.

Don’t pity the nang’ek too much, when she grows up, all the main male characters will fall in love with her. In this lakorn, Pat is Farida or Fang, a feisty/intelligent young woman who is just unlucky in love and life. After graduating from college, Fang finds work at the Veerakij Company and meets Panutat (“Beam” Saranyoo Prachakrit), the son of Khun Aekatat (Chalit Fuengarom) who happens to be the co-owner of the  Veerakij Company with Siwapan (Por Thrisadee).

Panutat and Fang fall in love and decide to get engage. Siwapan is not too keen on the idea because to him all women are money hungry bores who can be easily brought. Fang is of the middle class and Panutat is part of the super rich, it can’t possibly be sincere. Another thing, his sister Siwaporn (May Fueng-Arom) is sleeping with Panutat and wants Panutat to break up with Fang. Siwaporn would feed false/ negative things about Fang to Siwapan. Because he is hearing this from his sister, he believes it.

Like Weir in ‘Love Rotation”, Por in this lakorn is a meddling older brother who loves his sister so much he would marry the woman who is his sister’s love competitor. He marries her for revenge, impregnates her, and then realizes her loves her. It’s such a lakorn.

“Money for Love” will air on October 26, 2009. More pictures can be found here.

Pat Napapa, like you have never seen her before

I was very stunned to see these pictures of “Pat” Napapa Tantrakool in Ralf: men’s lifestyle magazine. Pat has never done something like this before– being in a men’s magazine pushing up her breast,s this means her star status has fallen and she needs attention.

The magazine is degrading to women, ‘Fill your dreams, fill your  boobs!” What does that even mean?
