A pantip forum member posted this pic and I have to agree Pharot’s mom does remind me of Gollum from the Lord of the Rings. They have the same obsessive tendency with shiny things, Gollum with the ring and Khun Ying Samerjai with silamanee.

I do like Silamanee a lot!
Pra’ek is goofy.
Nang’ek is unyielding, not a damsel in distress like most nang’eks. Yipee for that!
The main villain, pra’ek’s mother is not that vicious. She might be a greedy, pompous donkey but she hasn’t done anything overly crazy. I don’t hate her.
Silamanee is pretty good so far. You should watch.

Silamanee: Ep3 Caps
My god, this is a really good lakorn! To my surprise, I didn’t think I would like it this much. It’s not your typical lakorn where the leading characters are running around fighting each other over wealth or having crazy misunderstandings about nothing. Nang’ek is not innocent and (or) feeble, rather she is strong-minded and determined young woman. Most importantly, Pra’ek isn’t stupid nor is he unreasonable. He is a regular guy trying to keep peace between his brother and mother.
I love the fact that there is no nang’rai screaming and hollering for pra’ek’s attention or trying to rape him to make him take “responsibility”. You know what I’m talking about, the ‘marriage’ responsibility.
The villain of this lakorn isn’t a person, it’s pride and national identity.
Khun Ying Samerjai (pra’ek’s mother) will never accept Saengfarng as a daughter-in-law because she is a Chiangrathian, a group of people who in her eyes are beneath Thai people. Though Saengfarng is a wealthy princess, Khun Ying Samerjai mentioned today that she would feel embarrassed to tell her Thai society friends that her daughter-in-law is a northerner. Also, she thinks that all northern woman are “easy”, an unfounded stereotype.
Likewise, Saengfarng has prejudice for Thai people. She finds them to be an untrustworthy bunch and their men to be too “loose”. HAHA. As she stated in today’s episode, she will never “soften up” for this group of people.
If you’re not watching, you should watch this lakorn. It’s good.
