“Ter” Chantavit Dhanasevi and his long time girlfriend of 4 years “Peak”Patarasaya Krousuwansiri are featured on the cover of Hamburger magazine for their September 2011 issue looking old-schooled chic with Ter in cropped pants and Peak in monotone colored summer dresses.
One issue, their socks are an eye-sour, no woman should ever wear thick socks with heels.
I love the concept, I love how Bird Thongchai has a big grin on his face. The theme is commando, military, army, any time of armed force outfit. It’s fun and light; I like this party better than the Siamdara Star Party. Everyone seems happy and enjoying themselves. No force, no obligation. The event was held at the Army Club on Vibhavadi Road yesterday July 1. The event is a taping, it will air on Ch7 July 8th.
I really don’t understand the purpose of the “Star Entertainment Awards 2008″, we’re half way through 2009 and we’re still celebrating the films and lakorns of 2008? Well at least we’ll see stars in pretty suits and dresses, if they show up.
Anywho here are the nominees for the Star Entertainment Awards 2008…
Literally, my mouth dropped at the sight of these two ladies. Have you no shame? This is a prestigious award show, you don’t dress like a hoochie mama prostitute strutting around for customers. The woman in the red is Ying Julaluck Kittayarat, a former singer and author of “Sexual Connotation”, a picture book of herself half-dressed with her farang boyfriend . So trashy, I see her red thong. Oh for the love of marshmallows. Is that even a dress, it looks like lingerie?
The woman in blue is actress ‘Candy’ Chutima Avery. I’ve not seen any of her work at late. Clearly, her outfit is a publicity stunt. Clearly, she is stupid. Lady, notoriety is never a good thing. People who last in the Thai entertainment business are people who are respected in the community. Right now, you’re looking like a disposable slab of meat. Not a good thing. And oh the hair, it’s sex hair people. I know I’m being disrespectful, it just can’t be helped.
In an old pair of beat up black jeans, a plain white T-shirt, and carrying an ugly black murse is actor Pae Arak. What the hell. Can you at least try to look decent? Your movie was nominated, your girlfriend was nominated. DUDE! How hard is it to put on a nice pair of slacks and decent dress shirt? It’s doesn’t have to be from Armani or any of those brand name merchants. Just try. You’re off the hook buddy.
The interview was very cute.
From Jessie:
“I heard Pae wasn’t actually at the awards, I heard he came after because he was shooting a lakorn that day. He rushed to go congratulate Goy. He wanted to surprise her.
Our favorite Kenny boy and his leading actress Aff Taksaorn from “Jai Rao (Cracked Heart)” won big at the annual “IN magazine:Young Generation Choice 2008″ awards. They took home the “Best On Screen Couple” award. They won with a total of 39 points, followed by Ann & Ken coupling for “Sawan Biang (Heaven Diversion)” with 35 points, and the pairing of Aff and Aum in “Jamleuy Rak (Defendant of Love)” came in third with 12 points.
Film star Ananda Everingham won the “Bad boy: male celebrity or singer with immense Charm” award. I know, the award categories are a little weird. Peak Patarasaya won the “Hot Girl” award.
Other winners included… Most fragrant male (Hot Guy award)-Mario Maurer. The event was held at the GMM Grammy building earlier today, February 10, 2009.
My thoughts…forget the award show, I’m foaming over Aff’s springtime inspired dress. It’s to die for!
If you click and enlarge Mario Maurer’s picture, he is as pasty as ever. He needs to lay off the foundation and also get some sun.
Matching again, so cheesy. And, in flannel! We’re at an award show, not hunting time. They popped their collars too. GOOD LORD! Oddly, I’ve seen this picture before. Maybe it’s not from this year.
MORE PICTURES:
May, Bird, and Aum with their awards.
Aof Pongsak accepting his award. Noi and Hubby Ken with their awards. Then, Wier and Pancake in the cheesy matching outfit. Oh throw cheese!
Aof, what’s up with the skinny jeans and Mario, please hire a stylist. Your Connecticut housewife look isn’t working for me, rolled up khakis, come on. You’re a guy, have some spunk!

“Love across Frontiers” Part 2 serious went Korean style on our bums–memory lost, crazy love triangles, and Mike suffering from cancer, this is absurdly Korean drama at its best.
I’m assuming a year or 2 have passed, Golf and Pat (Peak) are in a stable relationship and so are Pern (Toey) and Mike. Mike and Golf are now big time singers, who have just released their first album and of course because this is a drama, it’s a major hit. Because of crazy fangirls who don’t want their teen idols to have girlfriends, Golf and Pat have to keep their relationship a secret. Both Pat and Golf are having a hard time dealing with it.
One day, Pat and Golf arrange a get-together at a cafe to sort out their problems, Golf doesn’t come and Pat doesn’t pick up her phone when he calls. As she is leaving the cafe, Pat is hit by a car. Physically, Pat is fine;however, she did receive trauma to the head and is inflicted with temporary- partial amnesia. Pat can remember everyone but GOLF.
In an attempt to recover her memory, he writes her song. When she listens to it, she remembers that she loved him but doesn’t remember the good times they had together, she remembers only the bad moments. Pat breaks up with Golf and returns to her normal life. She later meets March (Yot) and they start dating.
On with Mike…Mike has been getting a lot of headaches and fainting spells, he goes to the hospital for a check up and learns he has brain cancer. Mike hides this from girlfriend Pern (Toey) and she assumes he is seeing someone else because he is being secretive and goes off on his own quite often.
Eventually Pern finds out about the illness and she writes a fairytale story for him. At this point, the gang (Golf, Pern, and Pat) join forces to fold origami paper cranes for Mike because in Japan their is a belief that if you fold 1000 paper cranes for a sick person, their sickness will disappear.
As they spend more time together, Pat realizes that she still loves Golf but is not sure how to proceed. Also, she doesn’t want to hurt March. Her relationship with March is made easier with the appearance of Pern’s young cousin, Oobyid (Mai). Oobyid secretly has a crush on March and slowly March starts to develop feelings for her.
——
Will Mike die of cancer, my guess is “NO” because this is a teen comedy.
Will Golf and Pat get back together…umm…yea, isn’t it obvious.
Will March and Oobyid end up together, yeppers.
“Love across Frontiers 2″ will be a predictable lakorn, consequently that is not important. The execution to the end result is what is important. Will this lakorn make us laugh and cry? Among teens, it will. Among old heads like me, probably not.
I guess that is why it’s popular, there is not a lot of Thai Teen Themed drama as compared to Korea or Japan and young Thais are craving for something like this. No matter how poorly acted or poorly scripted this lakorn will be a hit. I must clarified for those crazy Golf and Mike fans, I’m not saying “Love across Frontiers 2″ will be a terrible lakorn, I’m just saying regardless teens will watch it.
Hopefully with the success of “Love Across Frontiers” there will be more teen oriented lakorns, it’s a blooming market, executives should take note.
