Marriage then babies

Back in October, Opps magazine asked several Thai stars the marriage and baby question,  at what age do they believe they will be ready to settle down and have babies. Their answers will surprise you because it got me laughing, especially Chakrit, who said he wanted to get married at the tender age of 15 because he wanted to be a father. However, things did not turn out as he wanted to. Good thing guy, 15 is a little young.

Diana and Ploy booing scandal part 2

How interesting. At least to me, I didn’t hear any booing. Did you? I definitely heard Diana taunting Ploy up on stage as she hosted the event for Absolut Glimmer Vodka. Then again, Ploy doesn’t have that passive personality, she tends to be abrasive. Ploy just being there and being loud probably ticked off Diana. Either way, it’s childish. These two should not be in the same room, building, street, city, country, or whatever together if they can’t act like adults. Ploy should not have gone.

Ploy said this about the incident where she is accused of booing her rival Diana at an event:

“When Mario came out, we cheered for him like I said. But as soon as she came out, I was quiet and watched her interview Oh and P’Tina, but she walked over and asked ‘who are cheering for’,'What are you screaming for,’ ‘for who’. I answered for Mario (high voice). I was cheering for Mario. I was not disrespectful at all, then she went back to interviewing Oh and asked him how he felt about working with P’Tina. Mario complimented P’Tina and said she was very pretty, a woman who is talented and a superstar singer. We cheered and were very loud. “Wu-wu” something like that. Does it seem like ‘booing’? She then turned towards us and said, ‘what are you screaming for? Mario was complimenting Tina, he was not complimenting you guys. You’re so narcissistic. If she didn’t see me at the event, would she say that to anyone else at the event?”

Ploy said Diana started it, Diana said she did no such thing and wanted it to end. Her argument, how can she start it when she did not see Ploy there.

Diana:”The incident that day there is no who started it first or who started it after. This is not a boxing ring, no one started it. I was up on stage doing my job. Up on stage the spotlight was blinding me. Up on stage I was blinded by the spotlight, four were on me. I could not see who were at the event or came to the event.”

“I want this to end and I don’t want to talk about this anymore. I don’t want to be part of anyone’s issues, whatever, how so, any more. If she thinks that I did that, you guys can write whatever you want. Up on stage, who can you see? If you don’t believe me ask the people up on stage like P’Christina (Aguilar) and Mario  Maurer if they can see. I can assure you I did not pick a quarrel with her at the event. If it doesn’t end, I don’t know what else to say. There is nothing else to say really.”

Ploy booed Di off the stage at an event

And made her cry. I hope it’s not true because that is just childish. At an event where Diana Jongjintanakarn was the MC/host and Mario Maurer participated in, Ploy Chermarn made an appearance and is accused of booing Diana off the stage and making her cry. Ploy said she did no such thing. She went to the event, but only went there in support of Mario Maurer, her friend and co-star in many films. Ploy said she was there to cheer for Mario not to belittle Diana. If she is lying, you can step on her face. Plus, she is not self-destructive enough to risk her fame and reputation over an issue like this and before they accuse her of doing wrong, they should prove it with a video clip. Even if one existed, Ploy is confident she is innocent.

“Before you accuse me, please provide a tape as proof. I say if there is a tape to confirm, it would be quite scary because the person who will not look good will not be me. (What happened?) That day, I went to an event for Absolute. I went to watch Mario, he had a dance with Tina. I had intended to go watch Oh (Mario) because I have been close to him for several years now, everyone knows that. When I got there, Oh did tell me that Diana was the host. I asked him if there was a lot of reporters, he said no there is only cameras inside the event, 3-4 personal cameras. I told Oh it will probably be okay, it might be alright, so I went to watch him. Another thing, I know how to differentiate between work and personal matters. I know what I ought to do and not to do. I don’t want to say much or else I might be accuse of slandering her again. Lets just say whoever can find the tape for the event, show it. After watching it, you will see what is what.”

So you can confirm you didn’t boo her?

“I did not ka, I cheered for Mario when he danced with Tina. When she came out, we were passive–quiet to let her do her job. I gave respect for the event. I can differentiate. Right now, I can’t tell you the details. If I say anything, I might be accuse of incriminating her. It is best to bring out the evidence.

The start of this situation, I did not start it. She started it. Up on the stage, she ‘tet-tet’ like this. She had intended to come out like that. I have to tell you I don’t know. The best thing is to find the tape because I believe that everyone here is talented to find news of this magnitude. Thus, to find the tape from the event won’t be too difficult. You will see when I screamed, when Oh dance. When I stopped and then there was nothing. Then you will see what she said. I think it will be better than what I will say now here. I might be accuse of slandering her. She might cry.”

Ploy does not know when to stop

Diana wants to end it, Ploy does not.  She didn’t start it, Diana did, said Ploy.  Ploy is upset with Diana for telling the media she still keeps in contact with Tar Nawin, Ploy’s boyfriend, via email.

Reporters asked Ploy at the premier of her film “Chua Fah Din Salai (Eternally)” today how she felt about Diana’s interview. How Diana wanted to end this issue.

Ploy answered the question defiantly:”I did not start this na ka. I did not say anything na ka. I just answered what I thought was right. If she thinks like that, it’s good. I was not the person who started up this issue. I have said everything clearly already.”

In her interview, Diana has said she and Ploy are friends. They wouldn’t argue over something like this. Ploy laughed at the notion that they are friends. “This I have to wonder about too. I have listened to her interview when I started dating P’Tar, she said, “I’m happy for both my beloved friends”. I was baffled by it a little. Since when did I become her beloved friend? When she said I was her friend since we were 12, that is not true at all. A picture of her, I don’t even have. I’m still confuse when I became her beloved friend.”

Diana has said Ploy is a sweetheart that came out to help her with an event without accepting a fee. Ploy doesn’t recall doing that ever. “I don’t remember. When you’re in the entertainment industry, you will run into each other. To say that we are close friends, it’s not true at all. The issue with this is that it doesn’t make sense. She didn’t have to say that we were close friends. None of my friends are close friends with her.”

Also they were never classmates like Diana said, Ploy has never attended an international school. “She studied at the RC International school, I studied at the Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni) school ka,” said Ploy. That was a totally in your face kinda comment.

On her twitter account, Ploy welcomed a new nang’ek, reporters wondered if it was a sarcastic gesture for Diana. “This is very funny. I have become Lin Ping (the name of a Panda in the Chiangmai zoo), I don’t know what you think of me as, I have my own channel now. Someone sent me an SMS saying Lin Ping walk carefully, your nails my break na. Drink a lot, you will have a better complexion. I thought it was funny, so I put it on twitter. I labeled it as Lin Ping. If you want to see it, you can. Right now, everything I say or do, I’m throwing a tantrum, I’m being too harsh. I can understand.”

Ploy does feel hurt that she is the one who is deemed the villain in this case where as Diana is named the nang’ek. “I feel hurt, I’m a person who is frank. I did not start this issue. I’m a person too. I do feel angry and I do have a temper. I believe that everything I have said had reasoning. I have spoken clearly. I don’t want to make this issue more complicated with Diana. It’s not even an issue.”

It is still an issue because Ploy continues to write down her personal thoughts on twitter and facebook. She is not stopping either. “I still write there. I complain there often. But I’m trying to keep it from affecting other people.”

Because of the media attention and drama, event organizers want Diana and Ploy paired together for their events, Diana has rejected the offer. Ploy knows nothing about it.

“Really? They have not contacted me.”

Ploy said she can work with Diana. “I can do it. There wouldn’t be a problem. We are friends. But to answer truthfully, I don’t want an issue. It’s better if we keep our distance. Also, I don’t like events for publicity. Though my image seems harsh. I’m a still and chill person.  I rather focus on my personal work.”

Tar is upset over this issue too, but does not want to say anything to stir up more drama. Tar has been called a guy who has no respect for woman, Ploy feels sorry for him. “In our lives, we have love, and we are in the ET industry, we would have to face news like this. We told each other, we would stay strong. It’s easy to sway a person. There is always problems. We were doing fine, then there is an issue. But I think it’s alright. It will pass. This  issue is not even big. It’s trivial.”

Paint, Dome’s girlfriend, went online and wrote ‘what comes around goes around’. Though they have ended their relationship, Ploy still talks about Dome, which really annoys Paint apparently. “I have never said anything. I understand that  a lot of people are cursing me out, saying things about me.”

“You should go check it, I have never said anything to make Paint feel burdened. I  have been clear on my end, I don’t believe Paint said that. It’s not true. I have never met her. If I did, it would be okay na. Because it is unrelated. Another thing, Dome and I are friends. I have never made her feel burdened. Or done this or that. Someone asked me questions and it had to do with work, I had to answer it. Privately I have made it clear, Paint does not need to feel worried.”

Just for your entertainment

The drama between Ploy, Tar, and Diana–did Ploy Chermarn overacted, who is at fault here? Diana does not care, she wants you to consider this scandal as just celebrity gossip and something for your entertainment.

Diana Jongjintanakarn was upset when Ploy Chermarn lashed out on her on facebook, their were periods where she cried. Diana has no opinions on the matter, Ploy can say whatever she wants.

“I have no opinions on this matter, she can say whatever she wants. Everyone has the freedom, the right to think, to say, to do whatever they want. I feel nothing about it. When I first saw it, I thought…er…what is this? After seeing it, I thought I didn’t do anything (wrong), thus to have it be something, I don’t know how it came about.”

“The message that she posted, I saw it myself. I have her as a facebook friend. At first, when I saw it, I was confuse. What is this? I was upset. Did it affect me, it did. It made some of my friends misunderstand. It mad me sad and shed tears a little and thought…eh, what did I do wrong? People by my side called me and gave me support. They said, I didn’t do anything wrong. Why are you feeling sad for. I’m lucky to have a friend like Rose Sirintip, who called and said I was cool. Instantly after ending her phone call, I thought of her song rise up…nothing can hurt you, equal to how you can hurt yourself. After thinking about it, can you believe everything changed. Er…why should I be sad? Why should I be upset? I asked myself ‘why’, when there is nothing, it means there is nothing.”

Diana said she just answered the question that day, they asked, she answered. She was not the source for the news.

“When she said, I provided the source, how? You can replay the tapes, how it went that day. I believe that everyone here was there and know what is what. You should ask yourself, did I reveal anything. I don’t want to say anything because there is nothing to talk about.”

“When she said, I talked to my friends and she heard about it from them, it’s true. I didn’t hide anything. This issue grew from nothing, so I don’t know what to say. I don’t consider an issue that came up because of jealousy. I consider it just a greeting. It was nothing. The circulation of this news is fun reading. People will find it fun when this person answers and other person replies. The truth is, it is just celebrity gossip news. Just think of it as watching a lakorn or a plot of a film. Don’t think too much about it. If I think too much of it, I might get a headache. This is what my mother told me, don’t think too much about it. It’s like watching a movie.”

Ploy and Lydia will battle it out in “Star Dance”

I saw the teaser “Rabum Duang Dao (Star Dance)” a few weeks ago, it scared the living ‘who’ out of me. Each character seemed shady and despicable, even the nang’ek–shaking her tush and doing a lesbian kiss. Oh my lord, faints.

Meuy, the nang’ek played by singer “Lydia” Sarunrat Visutthithada, won’t be your typical prissy nang’ek. She is a good person, but does not act ‘sandee’, like a good girl. She will shake her tush, show off her cleavage to succeed in the Thai entertainment industry. Her image is of a sexy tough girl. Really she is not like that at all. She is a just a poor girl trying to make it big, so that she can take care of her mother and younger siblings.

On the other side of the spectrum, we have Namwan, our villain played by Ploy Chermarn. Namwan is pretty, rich, and a famous leading actress. She has been in many lakorns and is very popular among audiences. On the surface, she seems like a good person. Behind the scenes, she has many secrets and is just crazy. Namwan has slept her to the top, she only associates with people who will make her be a star. Namwan is having an affair with a famous plastic surgeon name Watit (Thanakorn Posayanon) to maintain her beauty. She sleeps with him in order to keep it a secret that she has had plastic surgery done before.

Namwan’s archenemy is Rommee (Aerin Siripon), a famous actress too. Rommee usually takes on the sexy girl roles. Rommee and Namwan do not get along at all because Rommee knows Namwan’s true self–that Namwan is a faker and not as innocent as she pretends to be. Their hostile relationship worsened when Meuy enters the Thai Entertainment industry. Meuy and Rommee become fast friends and Namwan becomes even more ticked off with Rommee. Meuy is new and fresh, a rising star. Namwan sees Meuy as a threat to her stardom and does everything possible to tarnish Meuy’s image and career.

In the midst of all this girl on girl drama, we have reporter Payut (Oil Thana). Though everyone sees him as  just another shabby reporter, he is not. His family is pretty wealthy, his father owns a large newspaper company, he just out in the field learning the family trade. When Meuy is being bullied by Namwan, Payut is there to help her.

“Rabum Duang Dao (Dance of the Stars)” will air next Thursday, August 26, 2010 on Ch3. I’m sure I’m not the only person who has noticed this, Ploy Chermarn has been typecasted in the two-face nang’rai role. Have you noticed, all her characters now are strong two-faced nang’rais–good on the outside, just plain despicable on the inside. She has been playing the same role over and over for nearly all of her lakorns lately.
