Yok Lai Mek (Cloud Jade) Teaser 1

Teaser with Eng subs.

This came out of left field, I did not expect this lakorn to air so soon. Rome and Janie’s lakorn “Yok Lai Mek (Cloud Jade)” is premiering this June 2. It will replace Ann and Chakrit’s lakorn “Sapai Glai Peun Tiang” for the Monday and Tuesday time slot.

I don’t know the plot, I can’t seem to track it down. I see a lot of tension between Janie and her maternal grandfather played by “Ning” Nirut Sirijanya. Because he is Chinese, he doesn’t seem to respect her Thai half.

I been watching the teaser over and over, I still don’t get the story. The only thing I’m sure of is that it will be an intense lakorn. I see a whole lot of catfights and beat-downs.

Opening ceremony pictures:

Our pra’nangs, Janie and Rome

Food offerings for opening ceremonies always look yummy, minus the pig head. I’m talking about the fruits. I love tropical fruits. I’m not your apples and bananas kinda girl, I love love lychee, rambutan, custard apple (so yummy!!!!), durian (smelly, but tasty) and etc etc. Strawberries and cherries can’t compare to these fruits.

MORE more pictures from Ch3′s soccer match

[Who in the hell is KANE? HAHA]

I know, I know, this is my third post about the match and you’re probably tried of seeing them. Most definitely, this will my last post about it. It was just that EVERYONE was there, EVEN Aof Pongsak.

The soccer match is over and the “Man of the Match” award has been handed out to Ken Theeradeth for the green team and Aum Atichart for the white team and many people are not happy. They consider it a popularity contest award rather an award for merit. Many are saying how in the hell did Ken get the award when he didn’t even play well, Great Warintorn should I have gotten the award for the green team, he scored two goals. Instead of Aum Atichart, shorty pie Alex Rendell should have won.

Here is a comment written in English from Kapook about the match…

” not fair at all …
the winner of white team is ‘ alex randell’ and ‘krik danai’ – superb game
the winner of green team is ‘great varinthorn – well done for those 2 goals’ ..

umm athichart and ken theeradet ..- NOT FAIR AT ALL ..

sorry to say , but it is fact !!

keep it up guys – there is always a winning day for you alex and krik !! cheers ..”

A lot of love was given to Great Warintorn, understandable, he played very well. Ken and Aum won because they are the ALPHA males of Ch3, it’s a publicity stunt.

Another consensus comment from viewers.

“What did Ken do?
I didn’t see him doing anything.
I don’t know how he got the award
Maybe because he is the leading pra’ek for the channel
That is how he go it. 55555″

There is a part of me that agrees and there is a part of me that doesn’t really give a…..It was entertaining, who cares about the award. We should all agree, Ken really sucks at soccer. He missed the foul shot. At the end, a reporter asked, were you embarrassed, he said “no” because it was just a friendly game. I don’t think he took it too seriously.

The White Team won

[Ken and Aff at the event, click to enlarge Aff's picture]

Damn, that’s a lot of people. They filled the stadium. Today March 29, 2009, soccer and Ch3 fans flooded to the Rajamangala National Stadium, the biggest sports arena in Thailand, to watch Ch3 male celebrities compete with each other in a soccer match to celebrate Ch3′s 39th year anniversary. Aum Atichart’s white team won, 8 to 7. Even though Ken Theeradeth’s green team lost, he wins in life and also the award for man of the match.

The event also had a mini concert: “Ruj” Suparuj Taychathanon, boyband Nice 2 Meet U, Parn, and Chaiya Mitchai (that effeminate morlum singer) performed. “Dan” Worawech Danuwong arrived on a helicopter and the crowd went WILD! Dang, Dan is awesome.

Tao “I enjoy beating up an elderly man at a dumpling soup shop” Somchai, who also participated, was injured. HAHA. Karma?

Everyone from Ch3 participated in the soccer match, from minor stars to mega-Ch3 stars…Ken, Aum, Tack, Num Sornam, Tang Saksit, Hoi, Ple, Mart, Por, Great, Tah, director Pongpat and etc.

I was watching it and I thought it very cute how when they foul each other, they give each other a hug to apologize—there were so many guy-hugs in this soccer match.

Damn, they take their soccer seriously. Ch3′s news anchorman acted as a goalie for the green team and singer James Ruengsak played goalie for the white team.

The massive crowd.

Ken Theeradeth and Aum Atichart collecting their sportsmanship award.

Watch it at youtube.

In total, there are 22 videos. This is video 13/22, Dan Danuwong’s performance.

Benz the cameleon

Benz<-Rome->Namfon

The title of this lakorn is “Look Mai Plian See (its literal English translation means “Fruit that changes color”), it stars “Benz” Pornchita Na Songkhla, ‘Rome’ Patchada Nampan, “Namfon” Kullanat Preeyawat, “Chai” Chatayodom Hiranyatsathiti, Margie Rasee, and newcomer Pop Thakoon. It’s a confictual lakorn spanning two generations–problems of the parents affecting their children’s happiness. Metaphorically, Benz in this lakorn is the chameleon fruit, she will morphed to a vindicative/crazed woman when naturally she is a cheerful likable woman because of love–her heart was broken by Rome and his discretion with Namfon, who he later marries.

“Look Mai Plian See” is produced by TV Scene productions, it will air after “Saab Poosa (Cursed Fabric)”, taking up the Wednesday and Thursday time slot. It will premier sometime in April.

Cast and Characters:
“Benz” Pornchita Na Songkhla as Namthip (45)
‘Rome’ Patchada Nampan as Chatree (45)
“Namfon” Kullanat Preeyawat as Rithai (45)
“Chai” Chatayodom Hiranyatsathiti as Prasop (45)
Margie Rasee as Namnueng (22)
Pop Thakoon as Trin (23)

Simple Synopsis:

Twenty-two years ago, Namthip (Benz) and Chatree (Chatree) are first year medical students. Both are bright and optimistic, they fall in love and plan to marry after graduation. Then Rithai (Namfon), Namthip’s best friend comes into the picture and ruins everything. Rithai is a beautiful young woman who just recently graduated with a bachelor degree in business management and decided to come to Bangkok to find work.

Though Rithai knows that Chatree is her best friend’s boyfriend, she still pursues him while seeing a guy name Bancha. Rithai successfully plots a one night stand with Chatree, ashamed Chatree starts to avoid her. To get him back, she tells him she is pregnant with his child, when really it is Bancha’s baby. Sneaky woman.

When Namthip learns Chatree had impregnated her best friend she becomes a little crazed and tries to harm them both and herself. She fails every time because her best friend Prasop (Chai), who secretly loves her is there to stop her from attempting suicide and hurting others.

Unable to handle the pressures of life and seeing the only man she ever loved with a woman to whom she thought was her friend, feeling defeated, she goes back to her hometown pregnant with Chatree’s baby. Also during this time, Chatree and Rithai marry. Rithai gives birth to son, they name him Trin (Pop).

After graduation, Prasop heads to Namthip’s hometown, he opens a small clinic and becomes the adoptive father to Namthip’s daughter, Namnueng (Margie).

Fast-forward 22 years later, Namnueng and Trin are grown up. Chatree is a renown heart surgeon and Namthip is still crazed and angry about her scorn love. She teaches her daughter to be wary of men and is very strict regarding everything.

Namnueng graduates with a journalism degree and applies for a photographer position at a tour guide magazine. Simultaneously, Trin starts working there as a writer. I don’t think I need to tell you what’s going to happen next. Trin and Namnueng will develop a relationship and learn they might be siblings.

You can read a more detailed summary at Tina’s blog.

Odd right? The main adult characters are played by actors and actresses who are not even 30 or barely in their 30s. Rome is turning 25 this year and Benz is 29 years old. Kinda funny right, Pop Thakorn who is 23 years old, 2 years younger than Rome, he will portray Trin, Rome’s son. Margie is younger than him, she is 19. I believe Namfon and Chai are the oldest, they are both 33 years old.

Trin and Namnueng, are they siblings? Of course, they’re not. Dramatically near the end or middle, they will find out the truth.

Dao Jarut Fah: Pictures.

Some promotional/behind the scenes pictures of the lakorn, “Dao Jarut Fah (“Bright star in the heavens”) starring Benz Pornchita and Rome Patchada as leading pra’nangs and Por Thrisadee and Fon Thanasuntorn as side pra’nangs. It will premier tomorrow (Nov. 4), replacing “Botun Greep Sood Tai” for the prime time Mon-Tues time slot.

The plot of “Dao Jarut Fah” centers around two feuding likay (folk opera) bands: Sao Noi Phet Baan Paeng (the young lady from the expensive diamond house?) and the Nu Paan Wiset Sin (the superb artful mouse??).

Dao (Benz) and Fah (Fon) are two sisters from the “Sao Noi Phet Baan Paeng” likay band, their father Ken is the owner. Dao and Fah are both active members of the band, they sing and act as nang’ek for the band’s live shows.

One day something unexpected happened, Ken collapses on stage and falls ill. He was overwhelmed by the fact that his shows were being sabotaged by Busaba, owner of the “Nu Paan Wiset Sin” band.

Busaba hired men to cause havoc and lure audiences away from the “Sao Noi Phet Baan Paeng” shows.

After shortly falling ill, Ken dies. Dao blames Busaba and his band for her father’s death and decides to go undercover to learn more about his evil deeds and to get revenge. She auditioned to be the new singer for the “Nu Paan Wiset Sin” band. Dao impressed them with her lovely voice and they gave her the leading nang’ek role. Patree, Busaba’s daughter is a little jealous that Dao got the lead part, during her time with the “Nu Paan Wiset Sin” band, Patty continuously harassed Dao in hopes that she would quit.

During her 1 month stay with the “Nu Paan Wiset Sin” band, Dao falls in love with Pon (Rome), the band’s leader. The more Patree abused Dao, the more Pon felt pity for her. Pon also admired Dao for enduring the abuses and not quiting. They develop a close relationship.

For that 1 month, Dao trains hard in singing and acting for the “Nu Paan Wiset Sin” band. She learns all of their songs.

Then comes the likay competition night, Dao ditches the “Nu Paan Wiset Sin” band, leaving them without a singer and sings for her band, the “Sao Noi Phet Baan Paeng”.

Pon is devastated when he learns the truth. Before the competiton, he confessed his love for her. Ouch!

Pon starts seeing Fah (Fon), Dao’s older sister to hurt Dao for deceiving him and his bandmates.

After the competition, Dao and Pon became enemies.

Sao Noi Phet Baan Paeng crew

Producer Gai Warayuth directs and plays a role, as the comedic transgender crew member.

I don’t know which side Por is in or his character’s name but I do know he impregnates Fon’s character near the end.
