Happy being single

I was going through Rita’s interview with TV inside magazine, looking for juicy tidbits to write about, it was pretty much dull until they brought up her love life. Maybe I saw it on the news and never paid much attention to it, Rita Jensen and rapper Khanngern Nianuan of the Thai rap group Thaitanium were romantically linked once. Really? I didn’t know that.

Interviewer:”Your news with Khanngern that you went to dinner with him, has he ever hit on you?”

“It’s not true na. He has been my friend for the past 10 years. We have never gone anywhere together. I’m was very puzzled when the news came out. He was too because he has never been confronted with news that are groundless. As for myself, I’m used to it. It happens to me a lot. Khan and I see each other at work and we talk always. I know him and have been close to him for a long time now. After the news broke out, we talked about it and laughed. Soon it will disappear.” Rita answered.

So you’re saying he is not your type?

“Lets not say it like that, he is more of a friend.”

A lot has been written about Rita with men. Honestly, she innocent. She has never done anything that has been written.

With Tye, they are still good friends and talk occasionally.

The interviewer noted that Rita has been single for a long time now, Rita explained she is happy about her situation because she wants to focus on work. “I’m not seeing anyone specifically, right now, I want to focus on work. When that day comes and I have a boyfriend, I will tell everyone. ”

Mystery Castle ending already

Tomorrow, “Mystery Castle” starring Rita Jensen and Nat Maurice will end. Wow, that was quick. I know the ratings were bad, as for the series itself, was it good? I can’t really say much about it since I have not been watching it closely, more like a few scenes here and there. I found Nat’s acting horrendous to bear, his manner of speaking threw me off, he came off like a little boy trying to be a big man. Very forced. From the scenes I saw, I was very impressed by the production quality, great fashion sense, lovely shoes (Indeed lovely shoes), amazing architecture, beautiful scenery, everyone’s believable acting minus Mr. Nat over there. An absolute miscast. With a different pra’ek, I would have watched it. Also, the closest filled with teddy bears and Ganya talking to her ‘nangfah (angel)” lady, ah weird.

Replacing it is Janie Tienposuwan and “Nok” Chatchai Plengpanich’s lakorn “Nam Peung Kom (Bitter Honey or Bitter Nectar)”, good gosh, an older man and younger woman love story with a lot of complicated bananas in between. This is a remake of Sam Yuranan and Pupae Ramavadi’s lakorn, can’t say much about it since I have never seen it. I hear it’s a classic, a very good one at that.

In “Nam Peung Kom (Bitter Honey or Bitter Nectar)”, Janie is playing a young woman by the name of Kangsadarn, her mother is Rose (Jariya Anfone), who used to be Purim (Nok Chatchai)’s lover 20 odd years ago. According to the summary, Rose brutally hurt Purim and he has never forgiven her. When he sees her again after 20 years, he wants revenge and uses her daughter Kangsadarn (Kang) as a tool to do so. Errr…kinda ew! He has been with the mother now he is going for the daughter, I don’t know, kinda twisted.

Mystery Castle has an airdate

September 18, 2009 for the weekend time slot after Vicky Sunisa and Boy Pakorn’s lakorn “Fai Rak Arsoon (Love Fire of the Beast)”.

“Prasart Mued (Mystery Castle or Dark Castle)’” stars Nattarat Maurice and Sirita Jensen and is a remake of  Mew Lalita and Willy McIntosh’s lakorn from the early 90s. It’s a romance slash mystery lakorn about a young Duchess (Rita Jensen) who runs away from home to become a caretaker for a wheelchair bound girl at a mysterious castle. She encounters many odd occurrences while there and falls in love with the master of the estate, Dr. Pharot Panarak (Nat Maurice), a reserve man with a dark past. His wife went missing 7 years ago and people believe he murdered her.

I’m going to be frank with everyone, I am a little worried about this series. One, we have Nat Nattarat Maurice as the male lead. Lets be honest, he’s stiff and too young for a role of a doctor. Two, the fake mustache doesn’t help out his cause either. Instead of making him look older and more respectable, they turned him into a laughable Thai version of Zorro. Every time I look at him, I start cracking up.

Boy Pisanu plays a prince in this lakorn, he falls in love with Rita Jensen’s character and pursues her heavily. “Maprang” Wirakarn Seneetantikul plays a character who secretly loves him.

Rita and Aun, will they work?

We’ll find out soon enough. Sirita Jensen and Aun Witthaya from horror lakorn “Saab Poosa (Cursed Fabric)” are paired together for the first time for Broadcast Thai’s upcoming lakorn, “LeumPrai Lai Ruk (Brilliant design of love)”. The lakorn is described as a mystery, crime, romantic comedy with a twist. Rita and Aun are from warring families, like Romeo and Juliet but no one dies. Technically they shoulnd’t be getting along but they did and fell in love.

Rita’s character is going to be very avant-garde, she is a girl from abroad while Aun is the opposite. He is very proper. She will continuously tease him, kinda like Matt Peeranee in “Kuan Kammathep (Cupid Group)” to Tye Nattapol. The suspense aspect of the lakorn will be an assassination attempt on Rita’s life. Groups of people will want her dead because they want her inheritance. Your typical lakorn plot.

Andrew finds Rita Jensen amusing

Rita is sweet and somewhat gullible, according to Andrew Gregson and he finds it very amusing. On the set of “Moonlight Crown”, Andrew loves to tease Rita and she falls for it every time.

“Rita, she is a person who is easily startled regarding things that are strange to her. She loves to say “really”!! (Andrew widen his eyes to impersonate Rita) Because she has never seen it before. She is defintitely not faking it. She is a very lively person and I love to tease her. This is the first time I’m working with her, it is very fun.” Andrew said.

Rita has said this about her leading man Andrew on the set of “Moonlight Crown”:

“Andrew loves to play jokes on me, he likes to say things to make me scared. In scenes where I have to use special effects, he likes to playfully tease me, it’s very fun. I have been working with a lot of very talented actors, it has been very fun thus far. When I’m on set, especially when Uncle Ning Nirut is there, he likes to constantly tease me. Everyone has been sweet and we are all very friendly together.”

It’s nice to hear. I’ve heard horror stories on lakorn set of actor and actresses not getting along. It’s nice to know, everyone on the set of “Moonlight Crown” is having a good time.

The picture of Rita and Andrew look very sincere, I’m sure he was teasing her and she caught on to it.
