Am I excited about “Lily See Kulap”, not particularly. But this picture of Cee Siwat and Jakajan Akumsiri about to kiss, so beautiful and sincere. It makes me want to watch this lakorn, I’m actually looking forward this Friday June 24, when it airs. I want to check it out. They look like a normal couple though they are just playing one.
‘Lily See Kulap” is a romance action comedy about a young woman from Hong Kong who fled her country to Thailand to get out of a force marriage by her uber wealthy father. Her name is Lily. She hires Nop (Cee), a former police officer, as her bodyguard to help her fend off her father’s two bodyguards who were sent by her father to haul her back to Hong Kong to marry Peter, her betrothed.
I did not intend to watch or translate the summary for “Sawan Saang (Heaven Creates)”, Cee Siwat and Min Pechaya’s lakorn on Ch7 that aired last week, at all. It just didn’t interest me. I saw the teaser, it was just so-so. As requested by Sweet, I decided to look into. The premise of the plot is different for a lakorn though has been covered before–an evil man turns into a good man after a head injury.
The story centers around Narop Payakracha (Cee Siwat), a cruel man, a man who cares for no one but himself. Narop is a super genius who became president of a large company called “Tiger King” by the age of 25. He lacks a heart but does well in business.
Eau (Ratipong Phumalee) is a security guard who works at Tiger King. Eau is a good man, a good father, a good brother and son. He values his work and is devoted to Tiger King. Eau has a 10 year old son named Oh and his sister is Aoonjai (Min Pechaya)–a feisty young college student, who occasionally works as a hot dog girl at race tracks.
When Eau became partially disabled while rescuing people from a fire at Tiger King, Narop fires him because he has a dislike for weaklings.
After losing his job, Eau became suicidal. He has a family to raise and his mother is ill (she is handicapped). Because of his leg and what Narop had said to him, he decides to commit suicide by standing in front of Narop’s car during a race. Before the suicide attempt, Eau made a video confession:”I just found this out, Khun Narop. We value people differently. I value the heart of the person. You value what you can get out of them for your success and objective. You don’t have a heart. Inside,, you only care for success. Before I saw you as a hero, you were my goal, that I strived towards. But now I give up. Your level is too high for me and there is no reward waiting there, except loneliness. You will win anyways because you think you will always win. But no one wins forever. Possibly you might lose to a pathetic man like me. Losing is a good thing, it teaches us.”
Narop unintentionally hit Eau on the race track and his car flipped over. Both Eau and Narop were badly injured and were rushed to the hospital. Eau passed away. Narop suffered a head injury and was in a coma for a while, but he survived. After his accident, Narop partially lost his memory and his personality completely changed too. He was no longer cruel, no longer greedy, no longer ambitions. He turned into a laid-back kinda guy, goodhearted, and considerate of others. Nothing like what he was before. He wanted to get to know his servants, he didn’t shout at other as much. He didn’t care for the company or remembered how to operate it. This terrified his mother Khun Ying Nayika (Supreetha Khamnuansin), who raised him to fierce like a tiger.
After seeing her son interacting with the servants and wanting to get to know them, Khun Ying Nayika ordered Narop’s assistant Thong Thew (Note Watcharaboon Leesuwan) to change Narop to how he was before. She told Thong Thew: “My child is tiger! Not a dog who will move aside to let anyone pass by.”—eeee…his mum mum is scary.
As Narop is going against his mother and evolving into a better person, Aoonjai is coming after him to avenge her brother’s death. She is helped by the son of Tiger King’s rival company Phoenix. They have the dumbest company names ever. Things don’t go as plan because Narop is a different person now.
Cee Siwat is the new co-host for “Jan Pan Dao”, a variety talk show hosted by Kob Suvanant and formerly by “Por” Nattawut Skidjai, who is leaving to be a free agent. I knew they were looking for a new co-host, I just didn’t care because I don’t watch “Jan Pan Dao”. I will watch the first show with Cee Siwat as a host, airing this April 21. I’m curious on how he would do. He’s a riot on variety shows promoting his lakorns, he talks and talks. He’s a natural storyteller, very humorous too. I wouldn’t be surprise if he did well.
Cee is very hyped about this opportunity, it is his first gig as a TV host.
“I have to tell you, I’m very thrilled, I have never done something like this before. Today, I feel honored and also pressured. I feel reasonably pressured, but I don’t feel pressured to the point where I can’t do my hosting job. I think it is a good thing I feel this way.”
JSL, the production company that produces “Jan Pan Dao” has been good to him and so has Kob, his new co-worker. “The thing that I learned from Khun Kob is that no one is number 1 or 2. You can do whatever you want to make this show fun. When Khun Kob confessed that to me, it made this job easier. When something comes up, I can consult with her more easily.”
Cee recognizes that people will compare him to Por, it’s just natural. He is not concerned.
“Of course there would be a comparison. It’s a good thing, it means there will be an audience for me. But I have to tell you, I can’t be P’Por. And, he can’t be me. I can not be someone else other than myself. The day I went for the casting, I had the opportunity to talk with P’Por. I told him I wasn’t gonna prepare anything. I was gonna go as a blank slate. I went as a new kid, unprepared. If I didn’t to do that, I would have become P’Por, P’Pa Gik (host of “Every Day you’re still sweet” with Aom), or become P’Du (I have no idea who that is). In the end, where ever I go, I’m prepared for the comparison, they can come at me to the fullest. They can say whatever they want of me.”
Amy Klimpatoom, his long time girlfriend, came out to support him.
Ken got two awards Best Actor in Film and Lakorn, it was a big year for him. His wifey must be proud.

…on the “Wan Waan Yang Waan Yoo (Everyday you’re still sweet)” show this past Friday.
Yes, they are all marriage bound.
Cee Siwat has been dating the princess of evening lakorns, Amy Klimpatoom for 5 years now, everyone is speculating when they will wed. In 2 years, Cee said. First, he wants to be ordain to pay homage to his parents, then he will marry Amy.
“Por” Nattawut Skidjai, the main pra’ek of “Check Mate”, has been dating Ch7′s resident nang’rai, “Ae” Pornthip Wongkijjanon for 6 years. Continuously, since last year, they have been bombarded with wedding questions. Ae wants to marry, Por is holding it off.
Kelly Thanapat has been with his Ch5 nang’ek Bee Namthip a few years now. There has been talks of wedding bells for them too. I was surprise to know many of you who visit my blog did not know Bee Namthip and Kelly Thanapat were dating. Where have you guys been?
Noon Woranuch is definitely getting married to ‘Todd’ Piti Bhirombhakdi, Singha Beer heir, this year or next. He proposed this past Valentine’s Day at a breast cancer charity event. Right now, things are being squared away for their wedding. I loved how everyone joked that Por needs to go to a breast cancer charity asap, so that he can ask Ae to marry him. Por shake his head ‘no’.
Kelly, Por, and Cee were hilarious on the show, they cracked jokes about their girlfriends’ obsession with high-end purses, they just don’t understand the appeal. Por said, if one of their dogs even sniffed Ae’s purses, she would probably knee it. He demonstrated how she would do it too as a joke.
A few more days, boys and girls, are you ready for “Kom Faek 2: Checkmate”? As for myself, I guess so. Barely watched the first one, only fast-forwarded to the cute scenes between Cheer and Cee Siwat, I never got the story, a bunch of people running around trying to impetrate Kelly Thanapat’s gang. And a whole lot of ‘kom-faek (stick)’ fighting. Por Natthawut carried that stick around everywhere, it was truly his weapon of choice.
It was a hit, so they are doing a second one. It’s a film as you lakorn with better production than the last. In terms of TV ratings, I’m sure it will do just fine.
July 20th is the premier date.
2nd Teaser.
They kept repeating “Checkmate, Checkmate”. WTH, is that all about? I felt like I was watching a commercial for the game ‘Street Fighter’ or ‘Mortal Kombat’. You know when they do their punches and kicks, they repeat a phrase.
Near the end, Por says, “In this game, I will end it myself.” Okay buddy, you do that.
Cee Siwat with a gun, Cheer and Oh praying, Por holding his ‘kom faek’ stick, and Kelly being interviewed.
