Tangmoe let the bag out about some nang’eks

You know what, I had no plans to watch Tangmoe’s interview with Woody on his Woody Gert Ma Kui show that aired today. I  read the interview transcript at Rakdara already, it just seemed rather boring like her drama with the media which lead to her ban and her ex-boyfriend problems. There is this one part where Woody asked her why in the past 7 years she has not been without a man.. She replied, it is not men that she can’t be without, it’s LOVE. Moe is a type of girl that I don’t get.

During the interview, Tangmoe said there are some special jobs some nang’eks accept –like going out to dinner with a rich politician, businessman, or Sia and getting paid for it. Wow.

Stars came out to support OHO magazine’s 3rd year anniversary

On Thursday night February 3rd, several prominent and minor Thai celebrities came out to support OHO Entertainment magazine’s 3rd year anniversary at Central World. There were performances by pop stars and Thai Pop Queen Marsha Wattanapanich in a see-through long black dress.

I have a feeling some were paid to be there and others came out to support their good friends. Ken and his wife Noi Bussakorn definitely came out to support “Mam” Katreeya Mcintosh because this is Mam’s magazine–Noi and Mam have been friends for years. Anne Thongprasom has known Willy personally and professionally for years, she came out to support him.

Ken is sandwiched between is off screen nang’ek (his wife Noi) and his onscreen nang’ek (Anne Thongprasom). I love his hair. Ken looks so young and stylish like a preppy kid from an all boys school.

Ch7 chose the traditional route

You can never go wrong with Thai traditional wear–the colors are bright and happy, the traditional long wraparound skirt can make any women look lean and tall. It’s just beautiful.

The concept for Ch7′s 2011calendar is preserving the essence of being Thai. In a span of 2 days, Ch7 dressed more than 90 of their actors and actresses in traditional Thai wear from various eras to represent their patriotic concept for their 2011 calendar.

Tangmoe apologizes to the media via a 26min video clip

Oh my gosh, is this chick for reals? Nothing against Tangmoe, that is just utterly ridiculous–a 26 minute video clip divided in 3 parts posted on youtube of her apologizing to the media. Heck no, I’m not watching all of it. Twenty six freaking minutes, that’s just effing long! I don’t think so. I couldn’t even pass the first 30 seconds. Snap! Make it simple. “I apologize” is suffice enough for me.

If you can recall, Tangmoe was banned by the media in retaliation for what Tangmoe wrote on Ploy’s facebook wall. Pretty much, Tangmoe was talking smack and being really bratty towards them online and off. The media had enough of Tangmoe’s bad behavior towards them, they banned her. Now the issue has come to this–of Tangmoe apologizing to the media and explaining her actions in a 3 part video clip on youtube. Oh for the love!

People have been supportive of Tangmoe on youtube, they do agree Thai Entertainment sucks for constantly making up news–for rarely being positive towards Thai celebrities. There is just scandal after scandal, some complained.

Tangmoe has said no one or anything is forcing her to apologize–not the elders at Ch7 or because she couldn’t handle the backlash–the apology is from her own thoughts and feelings. She said some other stuff too and I thought to myself, ‘me not want to listen anymore.’

Tangmoe Vs the Media

The media and Ch7′s nang’ek  “Tangmoe” Pattarathida Patcharawirapong do not get along. Period. All actors and actresses at some point in their career face media scrutiny, negative media attention, media prying into their personal life, media leaking private photos,  media’s accusation of plastic surgery. Some, who live in the limelight, can cope and adapt to the media scrutiny. Actresses like Tangmoe can not. Tangmoe has been through it all. No one likes this type of attention, Tangmoe makes it worse with her attitude and frankness. Through the years, her relationship with the media has been turbulent.

In a recent Facebook comment, Tangmoe has made it worst. On August 14, Ploy Chermarn wrote on her Facebook wall: “Why can’t an actress like me express her feelings, it’s like I’m being persecuted?? Some say I’m as vile as in the lakorns I play, tumultuous and mischievous. If I am what they say, how could I have lasted in the entertainment industry for 16 years na ka?? I’m not a good person 100 (percent) rok. However, I have enough of a conscience to not cause problems for others.”

Two days later, Tangmoe replied to Ploy’s post, she wrote:”I have to emphasize this to you, waterway depends on boats, a tiger depends on the jungle, is just a word of gratitude by reporters, when they don’t respect the rule, they don’t respect the actors. They gain from us inhumanely. Only 40% from  the news provide publicity for actors and actresses. Another 60% comes from our ability and our personality. On the other hand, nearly 100% of their (the media’s) monthly earnings comes from us. The most important thing is that we create jobs for them always. But they only create problems for us always. This is the reasoning of the mouth and pen. It’s a disadvantage no one will ever understand, especially the public who reads it. To review it well, who the one being taken advantage of and who is the one taking the advantage. Who should be the one saying SORRY and thank you.”

Tangmoe is saying the media has no respect for actors and actresses. It’s true that actors and actresses need the media for publicity, but that is just 40 %. Their talent and abilities contributes 60% to their fame and publicity.

Celebrity gossip creates job for the media, thus 100% of their monthly earning comes from celebrities. Celebrities are being taken advantage of, the media should be thanking them. The media has no right to complain or say nasty things about celebrities.

Her comment is causing some serious drama between her and the media. There is a media ban on Tangmoe.

Opinions from the public at Manager where this news was published:

“The truth is Tangmoe did not conduct herself well at all. However, I think the media should have face and enough value to not go around insulting others like this na krap. It would be a good thing to look at yourself for once. Don’t fabricate news and go around insulting celebrities all day. -Guy”

“This is pretty funny, when this article points out Tangmoe did this wrong and that.  The public opinion right now is against the media. Though they don’t agree with Tangmoe, they are cursing the media. I agree too, I see that the media is at fault here. When they are not happy, they write news to curse out someone. The media has become someone you can’t touch. They claim freedom of speech, a threat to media, but there is no control of friendliness or ethics of the media, even though the media has never showed the ethics to which they are trying to protect. To this day, we don’t know what the ethics of the media is. The media needs to reexamined themselves urgently.”

“I don’t like Tangmoe, I don’t like it when she doesn’t think before she speaks. But I hate the media more. Let me ask you frankly, reporters do they have more ethics than Tangmoe? They only cheer for their celebrities in their affiliations. Green head (I guess that means greedy), they only lick their own bosses.”

“Make an oath with me, entertainment news right now, they cross the line. I see in entertainment magazines, they try to take pictures of models’ crotch, not lewd!!! It’s no different than perverts who secretly enjoys taking pictures of girl’s skirts. Garbage.”

“You have to look at it carefully, I think Tangmoe’s comment is worth listening to. I have observed the media’s behaviors nowadays, including the one who wrote this article. You voice your opinions to make people interested in your news, while claiming as performing your duty. The media and Tangmoe are equals. But the media is much worst. You use your duty to hurt a person you don’t like.”–This person said some more stuff that I couldn’t quite understand.

“I want to voice my support for Tangmoe ka and am pleased with the boldness of going against the media, who think that they are bigger than everyone and think that they can write whatever they want. They lack ethics, they ask nonsense questions, and are mentally retarded. Who do they think they are, they are just horseflies, who make a living from celebrities. Fight Tangmoe, try seeking a lawyer to see if those who have placed a ban on you have the right to do so. This is disclimination (not my spelling, they spelled it like that) ka. Sue them, especially this reporter who said you were a dara pakma (a person who speak crudely).”

“For this pair Tangmoe Vs the media, I choose Tangmoe. I think Thai media bully and hurt actors and actresses more so.”

“Celebrity reporters, if they don’t dig? Incriminate, provoke celebrities to feud, then how are they going to make a living because they don’t know how to create news.”

“Some questions they go too far. When the person doesn’t want to answer, they say that person is arrogant and want to place a ban. Reporters need to reexamined themselves. What if celebrities joined forces and protest. If you try to reconcile or ban them too. You only do it for beauty (I think this person means money). If it is not right, don’t do it.”

“I don’t like Tangmoe, but this news article is publicly dishonoring her in a way, I just don’t know. They dig up old news to make a point.”

My opinion on this matter is mix. Tangmoe can get on my last nerves, but the media annoys me too. I been translating Thai news for awhile, I’ve noticed some of their strategies, they bait. They repeat the question over and over again, in different ways, just to get the answer they want. If you are not a veteran actor or actress and not trained on how to deal with the press, you’re screwed because you will eventually break you down. Sometimes I feel like they are trying to start something. You will say the wrong thing. Interviews have been mistranslated, news articles have been written to provoke feuds. I have noticed it. I usually say, I’m going to watch lakorns now. Thai celebrity news is just too much. I don’t know what to believe.

Tangmoe broke up with Thank because he didn’t love himself

Say what? I can’t believe she said that.

The reason why “Tangmoe” Pattarathida Patcharawirapong broke up or is taking a break from her hi-so boyfriend “Thank” Ponsakorn Mahapaoraya is because he didn’t know how to love himself.

“The reason why Thank and I broke up is NOT because we found other people. It’s because Khun Thank didn’t know how to love himself. Thank broke a condition that I set up since we started dating. This condition was very severe to the extent that I can not accept it. Therefore, you need to ask him yourself. The big issues in our lives, there is not many. As for the issue, I ask not to say it. It’s just one condition that I asked for. Issues of women, issues of being unfaithful, issues of being a fussy complainer, being sensitive, those are very common issues. He broke the condition unexpectedly and I consider that condition very severe and a big issue in my life. For that reason, the person who broke that condition is the one who lost.  Everyone I know, knows of this condition. My friends have had a problem with me regarding this condition.”—-what the hell is she talking about? What condition?

There were rumors that he cheated on her with some young college student. She knew of the girl but did not know if he was seeing her in that way.

“The reason we are on a break is not because of that young woman. That issue is smaller than the reason we broke up. About that young college student, there were some truth to it. It’s just that I had prepared myself for it since the beginning, since the start. We e were not married. For that reason, the act of having a close friend or myself having a guy friend, those were possibilities. If it went too far, if that did happen or not, you have to ask him yourself. About the young woman, if you asked her and there is proof or found something, if hypothetically she admitted to it, I want her to apologize. If it is not the truth, I will protect her. I consider the person in the middle of all this important too.”

She might give him a chance again, she needs time though.

“The reason why I want to give him a chance is because I want to keep my word. I once said in an interview that I love this man that I have chosen. Just like his mother loves him no matter what he has done, you have to forgive him. Like myself in the past, I was mischievous but my father has always forgiven me. Thus, if we love someone, we have to forgive them and Thank’s family has always been good to me and accepted me. I have never experienced that before. His parents consider me as one of their kids. We agreed to help each other, I promised to help. I can’t handle all of this on my own. The two of us have to help each other. If one day we really break up, I want everyone to know I have tried my best.”

Like I said in my previous post about this couple, Thai netizens knew this was coming. This couple would not last.

“I didn’t believe it when she said, ‘this love will be my last’. I just ask for 3 years, that is more than enough,” wrote one Thai netizens.

By the way, she wept during the interview. Good Golly woman.
