Tengneung broke up with his GF via a friend

We’re adults here. Why would you do that? Singer/ actor “TengNeung” Kritnagan Maneepagaphan broke up with his socialite/actress gf “Mint” Nawinda Bertotti via a friend. That is just messed up, he couldn’t do it face to face.

On Monday June 28, Mint wept in front of the media at the fitting of her upcoming lakorn “Jao Sao Rim Tang (Roadside Bride)” for Kantana because she did not know the reason why Tengneung broke with her. WOW!

“We have broken up now. As for the reason why, I don’t know.  Like what I said, frankly, I don’t know. I didn’t do the dumping. I was not the person who broke us up. I did not do the dumping. I can tell you there is no other person involve. It’s impossible. Everyday, I’m always with my mother or with my friends or filming my lakorn. It would be impossible. I knew before that we were on a break, but I didn’t think it would be a break up. I just found out from the media. There is no third-hand involve. Maybe it’s a misunderstanding. I don’t understand all of this either. I’m also looking for an answer to this,” said Mint.

When they were on a break, Mint did try to call Tengneung to reconcile, but he wouldn’t accept her calls.

“I did call him. I sent him a BB. He would not pick up. If you asked how hard did I try, I tried to the point where I quit. Several times. Several Instances. I called. I sent a BB. I sent a message. But he never replied. Up to this day, we have not cleared anything up. We have not talked at all. If you asked if I want to clear this, I don’t know how I would. He has done all the clearing already. He has decided already. I can’t do anything about it now.”

Her voice trembled when she said she felt hurt by the whole situation.

“I believe things began to change around May. My birthday was on May 24th and he didn’t even wish me a happy birthday. But it was alright. That day I had to work. After work, I went to buy a cake for myself and blew the candles out alone. It was alright (tears started falling). I’m used to it. Usually, I’m alone because my mother is always at work. We haven’t talked in a month. Then and now, it’s not the same anymore.”

Mint is deeply hurt by the situation.

“I will accept that I’m hurt by the situation. How much? Reasonably hurt. We have been talking for a year, the feelings were established and I’m still young too (She’s 18 years old). When I like someone, I sincerely like them. I liked him  A LOT (Voice shaking, tears falling).”

Now we get Tengneung’s explanation for the break up. They were having a lot of problems and he was going through a lot of life issues. She was too young to understand, so he had to let her go via a friend.

“Mint is a lovable girl. However, the pass year that we dated, if she noticed, we did a lot of adjusting for a long time now. Problems. We always had them. It added up to cause our break up. We did a lot of adjusting. The reason we broke up, Mint knew. I had a lot of issues. My mother was ill. Or my work issues. It was many things. She should have understood me. If she did, there wouldn’t have been anything. She is still young. So I told an older close friend of hers, this is what I’m thinking…about this and that. I knew if I told her myself what would happen (He is such a wuss). She knew. I do want to apologize to her. If I done anything wrong, I want to tell her I loved her and tried my best. I want to thank her for supporting me and I will always be her friend.”

Tengneung said all of this with a smile. He ended his interview with a joke. “Mint is a girl who gets hit on a lot, we don’t need to worry.” He chuckled and smiled at the camera. DUDE!

Teng’s interview with “KanPak”, a gossip TV show, on the set of his lakorn “Ruk Nai Marn Mek (A Cloud of Romance)” today. He was in a jolly good mood through out his interview, very different from Mint from a few days ago.

Mint was crying like nobodies’ business on Monday June 28 when she was asked about their break up.

2 new lakorns from DIDA productions

First we have Pancake Khemmanid and Vee Veeraparb’s lakorn, “Tawan Yor Saeng (Evening Glow or Sunset Glory or just Tawan Yor Saeng)” that will be airing sometime this month. In the series, Pancake will be playing 3 characters–Duang Pon ( nang’ek’s mother), Tawan /Yor Saeng (nang’ek). Don’t get confuse, Yor Saeng and Tawan are the same person.

‘Tawan Yor Saeng’ is a birth identity lakorn, where the lead character grows up not knowing he or she is a wealthy man’s love child. Pancake will start out the series as Duang Pon, a beautiful woman who falls for a rich man, she becomes pregnant with his child and dies while giving birth to their daughter Tawan.

Tawan grows up not knowing about her biological mother and her rich father and she is raised by a woman to who she believes is her biological mother and an abusive stepmother who wants her sexually. When her mother kills her stepfather in self-defense, she is instructed to go into hiding by her adopted mother. Out in the world,  her true identity begins to unfold itself and she finds her biological father. Because she looks exactly like her mother, her father knows who she is. Isn’t that convenient?

When she starts her new life with her father (or not, I think he dies), her name changes to Yor Saeng and she meets Vee Veeraparb’s character who becomes her uncle, not biological, by marriage. Vee is Ah’Lek or uncle Lek, his older sister is married to Yor Saeng’s father. Lek is a good guy who begins his relationship with Yor Saeng as a doting uncle, but later develops feelings for her and she to him.  Isn’t that a complicated twist of family relations. The uncle by marriage falling in love with his niece to whom he has to care for.

According to Popcornfor2 forums, “Tawan Yor Saeng (Evening Glow or Sunset Glory or just Tawan Yor Saeng)” will replace “Kulap Neua Mek (Roses above the cloud)” on Feb. 9, 2010 for the Monday-Tuesday primetime slot. It will be total of 16 episodes and a film as you go lakorn.

The second lakorn is “Ruk Nai Marn Mek ( A Cloud of Romance)” staring Tle Tanapol and newcomer Min Pechaya, boran actress from “Pla Boo Thong (Golden Fish)”. I know little about this lakorn other than the fact that the nang’ek will be wheelchair bound.

The main cast of “Tawan Yor Saeng” which includes Pancake, Vee, Sammie (nang’rai), and some newcomer I don’t know his name.

Yes, this is lakorn where Pancake will be dressing like a boy.

Weir is a daddy!

In a lakorn.

In real life, Weir is turning 25 this April. In the upcoming weekend lakorn on Ch7, “Phaw Nu bpen Superstar (My dad is a SUPERSTAR)”, Weir is playing a 30  year old man who has a 15 year old daughter. Ya, a 15 year old daughter. Can you believe it? Jakajan Akumsiri is his leading lady in this lakorn and the mother of his daughter played by newcomer “Ying” Ploypapat Thananchaikarn.

Weir is Danthep in this lakorn. Danthep is an entertainer, a triple threat, he’s a dancer/singer/actor. He’s got everything going for him. He’s dating Praifa (Grace Karnklao), a supermodel and they are going to get engage in a month. Everything is peachy until he receives a puzzling email from a young girl name Aida or Aidaya who is claiming him to be her father and Kate (Jakajaan), Danthep’s former girlfriend from years and years ago, as her mother. Another big whopper, Aida intends to come to Thailand to see him. The email troubles Danthep, so he tells his personal assistant Pung (Oliver Beaver) that roughly 15 years ago, he might have gotten a girl pregnant one summer in Holland, the girl is Kate. Without finding out the truth, Kate’s mother  lies to him and barred him from seeing Kate ever again, so he doesn’t feel sure if Aida is his daughter. Regardless if it is true or not, he knows it could get messy if people knew the details of his relationship with Aida. He is an entertainer and having a love-child at such a young age, true or not, it will be a BIG SCANDAL. He has to control the situation.

Aida does come to Thailand and Danthep does allow her to stay with him.  I’m assuming to control the situation. Then Kate comes to Thailand to look for Aida. To her surprise, her daughter Aida is with Danthep, the man she has been avoiding for years.

For years, Kate believed that Danthep abandoned her and didn’t want to take responsibility for their child, but this is all  a misunderstanding feed to her by her mother. In truth, Danthep never knew about her pregnancy. With Aida in Thailand and staying with Danthep, Kate and Danthep meet again, and life becomes more complicated for Danthep because one, he still has feelings for Kate. Two, he now has a big secret to hide from the public.

I’m not sure when “Phaw Nu bpen Superstar (My dad is a SUPERSTAR)” will air, different places have different air dates. At Sanook, it said January 8, 2010, but that alien lakorn starring Por and Pung hasn’t even ended yet. I don’t know the exact date but I can assure you it will be soon, maybe this week or next.

The happy family–Danthep (Weir), Kate (Jakajaan), and their daughter Aida (Ying).

Last night, or should I say this morning, I found myself unable to sleep–experiencing a major insomnia attack at 5am. So I decided to translate this song, I must say it so corny with a capital C. I still like it.

Usually I don’t listen to Thai pop targeted for tweens and teens, I’m legal enough to drink and gamble, and if I do anything foolish, I will be prosecuted as an adult. When you reach a certain age, you can’t stomach certain types of music, it is a natural part of growing up. Oddly, I like Korean POP like nobody’s business. 2PM, wink-wink.

I like the calming effect of this song, I hate the English narration at the beginning and middle, really unnecessary and poorly constructed. Young B.O.Y fans say it’s sexy and sweet, I don’t get the effect. “Man..tsk..I don’t know how I got this feeling but…all I can see is you, flying all around this room.” ??

Me:“Man…I think you should stop talking…’flying all around this room’…what are you talking about, is she a ghost?”

I’ve noticed, Tengneung does most of the singing in every song, especially this one. Should they really be called “B.O.Y (Blood of Youth)”, it should be Tengneung and his backup singers.

Narration or talking part, some are saying it’s Chin, Chin has an accent when speaking in English. It’s not him. James who is British born and raised is doing the narrations.

Lyrics translated:

Though others might not care, though they might not see you as important
But I’m not them, I think you’re sweet
The longer I’m with you, the more I’m interested, you are the one for me

I don’t care what others see you as, it’s not important
You’re adorable [I Love You]
You’re delightful [I Love You]
More than anyone else [I Love You]
I have fallen for you…
You’re adorable [I Love You]
You’re delightful [I Love You]
Please remember [I Love You]
I will love you as you are

I like it when you’re embarassed, I like the fact that you’re good at smiling
You don’t force it, you don’t pretend, I like you like this
I don’t know about the future, but I will always love you

I don’t care what others see you as, it’s not important
You’re adorable [I Love You]
You’re delightful [I Love You]
More than anyone else [I Love You]
I have fallen for you…
You’re adorable [I Love You]
You’re delightful [I Love You]
Please remember [I Love You]
I will love you as you are

You’re adorable [I Love You] How many times would you like me to say it
You’re delightful [I Love You] that’s all I can say
More than anybody else [I Love You] this is how I feel
I have fallen for you, I love you
You’re adorable [I Love You] I have said it outloud
You’re delightful [I Love You] I’m saying that from the heart
Please remember [I Love You] I just wanted you to know
I will love you as you are

LIPS drenched edition

Dome’s nickname is the “handsome god on stage”–what the hell.

Four infamous male Thai stars graced the cover of LIPS magazine for their May 2009 issue, drenched wearing white Lacoste dress shirts. We have Dome Pakorn (infamous for being a manwhore), Film Rattapoom (infamous for pimping himself out to a gay concert promoter Sia Ood), Mario Maurer (infamous for having a fame-hungry girlfriend and the lawsuit with his former manager Coco), and AF4 “Tol” Vonthongchai Intarawat (I knew little about him, he probably has a gay rumor, every guy celebrity has one).

Film-Mario-Tol.

Film is on the cover to promote his latest album “Film Forward”. He has been in the entertainment industry for 7 years now.
