If not July 9th, then next year

I’m beginning to wonder, who is the one getting married, Tik or his younger brother “Tun” Pichetchai Pholdee. Tik has not utter a word about his relationship or upcoming wedding to his long time girlfriend Peach, heck, he can’t even be reach because he is in the wilderness filming his show “the Navigator”. But younger brother Tun has been saying whole lot to everyone who will listen or maybe I’m just thinking too much.

From Tun, we learn Peach is a sweet and earthy woman who gets along with Tik’s family. Possibly, there might be July 9th wedding at the bride’s house. The day was chosen by the elders of the family, it’s Peach and Tik’s auspicious day for a wedding. If the date is not convenient, the wedding will be schedule for next year.

Peach’s close friend DJ Nong (Winai Suksawaeng) from 106.5FM Green Wave radio station also confirmed a possibly early July 2009 wedding, Peach has told him about the wedding and given him the date, now he can’t recall it. He remembers it being sometime in early July but can’t say when or where because things could have been changed.

Hopefully things will be squared away by this week because Tik is coming back to Bangkok in a few days, according to this Uncle Kai.

Who is Peach Sitamon?

Other then the fact that she is “Tik” Jesadaporn Pholdee’s fiancé, who is “Peach” Sitamon Taengsuwan? One thing for sure, she used to date “Mos” Patiparn Pataweekarn. Breath everyone. I’m just kidding, she didn’t. The picture above is just from a concert and nothing more.

Just minor tidbits about the woman….she is a writer and a businesswoman. Back in 2004, she graduated from Mahidol University with a master degree in Marketing. Also at that time, she began to see Tik. Holy, they have been dating for 5 years. I didn’t know.

After graduation, she became a writer for Stylist magazine and for a brief moment she worked for Grammy records. Most recently, she opened a furniture store called “Q Concept Store” at Siam Paragon. Lastly, she is part owner of Chompoo Araya’s doll shop, “The Doll House”.

Another Pra’ek off the market

One of our godly pra’eks from lakorns and movies, “Tik” Jesadaporn Pholdee, is getting married to a his long time girlfriend Sitamon Taengsuwan. The news has been confirmed by his younger brother actor “Tun” Pichetchai Pholdee, the villain in most lakorns.

From Tun:
-Tik will hold a press conference to announce his wedding soon.
-Right now, Tik is in the provinces working.
-The wedding is not next month, it’s most likely 2-3 months from now
-Is it hi-so “Peach” Sitamon Taengsuwan? “I can’t say, let Tik tell you himself,” he answered
-Tun’s parting words, “Confirm krab, I’m sure, P’Tik is a real man, he won’t hide it.”

Tik in Praew

Tik Jesadaporn and singer Aom Sunisa graced the cover of Praew magazine for the February 2009 issue. A person at Pantip forum thought the photo spread looked outdated, like from 3-4 years ago. Another person agreed and wrote, “when I first saw it, I didn’t think it was from 3-4 years ago, I thought it was from 10 years ago. The colors look faded, it looks strange.” Superficially, I would have to agree, it does look outdated.

The pictures were taken at the Ruins of Ayutthaya, Thailand. Aom’s bulky geometric/lego inspired necklace is just hideous and she looks like one of the kids from the US animated series “Avatar” with the hair and makeup and the outfit. I imagine her, shooting out fireballs from her palm, just about now!

Tik Pholdee is freaking hilarious!

As I was looking for better pictures of Tik at the Praew Sudsapda Awards, I came across Tik Pholdee’s translated into English and Chinese interview with Praew Sudsapda magazine. He’s freaking hilarious. I’m beginning to like him more and more. We have the same view point on life—supporting the environment and practical cars.

Here are some of my favorite parts from the interview. The complete translation can be found at Susa’s Baidu blog.

Talking about his old Corolla.

I want to know the way you live your life in each part. I remember I was in your car once, it was Toyota Corolla, and should it be a Mercedes?

I think it depends on personal liking; there is no right or wrong. To use Mercedes is not wrong but I think as long as the car is in good condition and can bring us to the destination we don’t need a new one. Actually, after that I bought new cars but I still like the old one and still driving it. It is a 1994 car and is our home’s first car. Today, if it isn’t running out of gasoline, I would have driven it here. Normally when the car ran out of gas, I will drive into the garage and dad will fill the gas for us, but dad didn’t do it this time, so I can’t drive it here

Do you dare driving that old car to shopping complex?

Yes, krub

You have a dare but don’t you need to have dark tinted windows?

My car’s window tinted no darker than the law limited, just enough to protect the sun light. I am proud to use my old stuff. But I also noticed when driving into hotel’s car park; they allow European cars to park in the front row but my old Corolla got the far back row (laugh)

Didn’t you just show you face to them that this is Tik Jesdaporn?

No krub. I better follow the rule. I understand that it is their jobs. Luxurious hotels want luxurious cars to get along with the image. I’m not going to show them my face, but I used to ask them though, ‘where shall I park krub’ (laugh) I think, um this is because I don’t drive European car.

Talking about newbie actor Mario Maurer.

Do you know Mario?

Yes, krub…Mario in the game that hit things with his head right? Hey, although I stay in the jungle, I also know it krub

The reason why he is not doing lakorns. LOL

When will we see Tik in lakorn again?

I am not sure. Actually, it’s my marketing plan when people don’t see me in lakorn, they will watch the Navigator if they missed me

[Nice haircut TIK!]

He won the “Young and Smart” award at the Sudsapda Awards show held at Central World Plaza on November 8, 2008. Tik thanked everyone who voted for him and he was very surprised by the win.

What he told reporters while standing next to Ann Thongprasom.

“I’m very surprised by the award because my last lakorn aired 2 years ago and people are still thinking about me. I’m very happy and would like to thank everyone who have not forgotten me.”

You two have never worked together.

Ann and Tik: “That’s correct.”

If you get an opportunity to work together, what kind of script/role would be a good choice?

Tik: “I would have to say a “gok-gik” romantic comedy….with a lot of loves scenes. Something like that, right? (LAUGHS).”

He knows us too well.

Tik’s new movie “DEEP IN THE JUNGLE”

I don’t know, after seeing the promotional pictures and the movie posters, I’m not feeling Tik’s new film “Patihaan Ruk Thung Pan (Miracle of love of different Species)” a.k.a “Deep In the Jungle” coming out in Thai theaters December 31.

Clearly it has everything to do with vanity, I’m not feeling his hair and the roughed look. I like “Tik” Jesadaporn Pholdee as a pretty boy–short hair, well-groomed, and wearing preppy boy clothes. Tik needs to come home to lakorn world, Film is not his place.

In the film, Tik plays a chaotic man struggling with traumatic stress disorder. He experiences recurring thoughts about himself killing people and seeing people being murdered. His character discovers something important about human nature. According to Wise Kwai, Tik’s character discovers a half snake half human person and they fall in love. LOL. I know. What?

For the film, Tik trained for 5 days at a military boot camp in the province of Saraburi. He learned how to use and load a gun, crawled through barbed wires in mud, practiced self-defense, all the works to make his portrayal of a military man believable.

Ploy Jindachot co-stars as Tik’s love interest.

The film is from Phranakorn studios and is directed and written by Teerawat Rujeenatham.
