Chompoo and Tye’s lakorn, will it air? PART 2

Why, yes, it will air.

The issue between Yuma99 and Ch3 have been resolved and Chompoo’s first lakorn with Ch 3 “Plerng Prai (Spirit Blaze)” will premier in a couple of weeks for Ch3′s weekend time slot. From what I can gather, it is a horror-action comedy. According to Tye Nattapol, the pra’ek for the lakorn, there is a lot of cute scenes and terrifying scenes combined together.

Straight from Chompoo Araya’s mouth at the Star Entertainment Awards 2008, her lakorn “Plerng Prai (Spirit Blaze)” will air on JUNE 19.

Chompoo and Tye’s lakorn, will it air?

Yuwadee and Prawit

It is not looking good for Chompoo Araya and Tye Nattapol’s first lakorn together “Plerng Prai (Spirit Blaze)”, produced by Yuma99 productions. Yuwadee Thaihiran head of Yuma productions has left Ch3 out of resentment, 3 of her lakorn ideas have been turned down by the elders of Ch3. They include Ken and Chompoo’s “Gol Ruk Luang Hua Jai (Magical trick of the heart)”, Sukiyaki (named after a Japanese dish), “Nayok Rabeu Seu Ruk (Chairman ‘something’ channel for love)”.

Bascially, Ken and Chompoo’s first rumored lakorn together“Gol Ruk Luang Hua Jai (Magical trick of the heart)” has been scrapped and Chompoo and Tye’s “Plerng Prai (Spirit Blaze)” may never air unless the bosses of Ch3 and Yuwadee Thaihiran are able to reach an agreement.

Note that filming for “Plerng Prai (Spirit Blaze)” has been completed. If it does not air, money and precious time have been wasted.

“Prawit” Aranya Maleenon, the head boss of Ch3 does not know why “Plerng Prai (Spirit Blaze)” is not being broastcasted. He is not in that department. Prawit believes this situation is from a misunderstanding, it’s not Ch3 who wanted to end it with Yuma99, it was Yuwadee Thaihiran who wanted to stop making lakorns. Prawit hinted that possibly Yuma66 problem is having internal problems; however, he is not sure. The heck, why say it if you’re not sure?

Chompoo Araya is not too concern about the matter, she is just an actress what can she do. It’s all up to the Channel elders to decide. If it airs, she would be happy. If it doesn’t, she would be disappointed; however, not devastated because she has other projects lined up. At some point in time, she will be on TV again.

In an interview with Daradaily, Yuwadee Thaihiran hinted that Ch3 did not like her lakorn concepts because they are not “raeng”, not aggressive enough. They don’t fall into the lakorn category of crazy plots, crazy nang’rais, and to Ch3 bosses they are not marketable to the Thai public. She described her lakorn “Sukiyaki” as narak “adorable”, a pleasantly sweet lakorn.

Tye Nattapol’s new evening lakorn

Janjira, Matt, and Tye talking about their lakorn at Ch3′s upcoming lakorns event

I’m sure for many of you, this is the first time you’re hearing about “Guan Kammathep ( The Cupid Gang)”, Tye Nattapol and Matt Peeranee’s upcoming evening lakorn. It’s airing real soon, sometime in June after Ae Chaiya & Namfon Patcharin’s lakorn “Theppabut Chood Win” on Ch3. This lakorn is produced by Janjira Joojang, a well known comedic actress. It’s a romance comedy.

“Guan Kammathep ( The Cupid Gang)” follows the love story of an avant-garde girl and a well-mannered, conservative man.

Duang Dao wants her only daughter Kaysara (Matt Peeranee) to marry into the Trakunaphibuna family because in the past she failed to be a daughter-in-law in that family. When her daughter, who is half Thai and farang returns to Thailand, she immediately sets her plan in motion to trap Watit (Tye Nattapol), the male heir to the Trakunaphibuna family. Duang Dao’s master match-making plan is helped by her three good friends Plerntha, Somporn, and Nualnoi.

Duang Dao trains her daughter to be a polite and obedient, which opposes all of Kaysara’s personality. In reality, she is outrageous, spontaneous, and everything Watit hates in a woman. Watit is an old-fashioned and conservative man, he doesn’t want a wife who stands beside or ahead of him, he wants a wife who is subservient and stands behind him, literally.

Though Duang Dao tries her best to pair Watit and Kaysara together, she ultimately fails. Luckily for her, her mother Raunthong is friends with Watit’s grandmother.

In the end, Watit escape his fate with Kaysara, he is force into an arrange marriage with Kaysara by his grandmother. Watit gives Kaysara his name but does not take her as a “wife”, meaning they are legally married but they don’t have relations.

Because they are polar opposites of each other, Watit is a strict conservative man and Kaysara is a spontaneous fun woman, they often fight. Eventually, love develops in their marriage as they learn to appreciate and see the value of each other’s differences.

For a while, things were going well for Kaysara and Watit until Roger, Kaysara’s ex-boyfriend comes into the picture.

Where’s Rita?

I guess they’re not really dating. It is one of the most important day for a Thai buddhist male, it’s kinda disrespectful when their girlfriend doesn’t show up. Tye Nattapol was ordained earlier today at the Phra Si Mahathat Wora Maha Wihan Temple (Temple of Holy Relics) in Bangkhen and Rita Jensen was nowhere to be seen. Tye will be ordained for 15 days and was given the monk nickname of “Nitpoh”, meaning a person who is excellent.

Though Rita Jensen, his rumored “gik” was not there to congratulate him, co-star and friend Yardthip Ratchpal was there. Tye did invite Rita to his ordination but she was busy with work, she was busy filming a lakorn. Excuses, excuses. Trying to avoid them rumors, ay, Rita?

Yard really made an effort to come to Tye’s ordination, she worked late the night before, but still forced herself to get up early to see him be ordained. She was the first to arrive at 6′clock in the morning. Now that’s what you call a friend. It made Tye happy.

Traditionally, Thai males are ordained for 1 month or 1 rainy season, because of time and schedule, Tye can only be ordained for 15 days. He said it’s the best he can do, he feels regretful it couldn’t be longer.

Temporary ordination is an act of honoring one’s dead ancestors and the people who raised you (parents).

Yard pouring holy water on Tye, representing the cleansing part of the ritual.

Tye bowing down to his parents, it’s part of the ritual. His mother is extremely happy he was willing to do this. She never thought he would. He was never the type who wanted to be ordained.

A few people can pull of off the monk bald look, Tye is not one of them.

Stars and their dogs

Tye-Poyd-Win-Dome-Mario

Four Thai stars and a celebrity wannabe, who is only famous for feuding with “Fluke” Krekpol Massayawanich, brought their dogs to the “Hiso Dog on The Beach” fashion show the other day at Central World. Dome Pakorn, Tye Nattapol, transgender Treechada “Nong Poyd” Malayaporn, Mario Maurer, and the infamous “Win” Raiwin Jinphonset were all there to walk their dogs down the runway.

While there, Dome was interrogated about Cartoon Intira and her scandal. Dome still supports her. Of course he would, home boy is scandalous too.

Tye was asked about his relationship with Rita Jensen and whether he kissed her on the island of Samui. Reporters are sneaky. Tye denies it and talked about his upcoming ordainship on April 28, 2009. What the heck is this, everyone is being ordain this year.

I didn’t find any articles about Poyd, she is scandal free.

Prem is g*y

Prem and Pancake competing for the same guy (Tye)

He’s not, well at least that is what he is telling everyone, it’s just part of the fashion show. At the Kunitar & 8E88 by L’Oreal Paris fashion show 2 weeks ago, Prem Busarakamwong (Tata Young’s ex-fiance) and “Pancake” Khemmanid Jamikorn put their dukes up to compete for the affections of Tye Nattapol. From the looks of things, Prem lucked out, Tye chose Pancake.

The designs where by Saruda Nimpitakpong and Chinachan Nimpitakpong of Kunitar and 8E88. According to Thai catwalks, Kunitar’s signature style is art and romantic, sweet and feminine while 8E88’s identity is a mixture of modern art, Gothic and funky. Okay, to me they produce the same stuff over and over, too much of an overflow of PINK. Last year it was frilly pink dresses, this year it’s the same thing. I’m not going to lie and say I didn’t like it. I do.

Kunitar and 8E88 are usually very entertaining, instead of real models, they use Thai celebrities. It’s more of a show rather than a fashion event.

Prem pops out the ring and Pancake comes along to ruin everything. They look serious about it too.
