The elderly “Jik” Naowarat Yooktanan and Chompoo Araya are the two most talked about actresses at the event for dressing too sexy. Though you can’t see it in this picture, Chompoo Araya is being criticize for showing off too much of her cleavage. As for Jik, woman, what are you wearing? Ee!!!

Aou Panu enters the monkhood

Cee-Aou-Amy

Thirty-two year old Aou Panu Suwano of Ch7 was ordained yesterday at the Pattanaram temple in his hometown province of Surat Thani; he was given the monk nickname of “Aphinantoh”, meaning a person who will make others feel at ease. Aou, who has been stalling this event for a long time because of work, has decided to be ordained for 1 month. His parents are overjoyed by his decision.

In Thai/Cambodian/Lao buddhist culture, a man must enter the monkhood temporarily to give honor to their families and parents. It’s a form of religious respect to the people who raised them and a rite of passage for most men in this region.

Cee Siwat, Amy Klimpatoom, Yui Jiranan, Thun Tanakorn, and other stars came out to support Aou.

Aou’s lakorn with Aum Patcharapra, “Jaew Jai Rai Gub Khun Chai Taewada”, is currently airing on Ch7. In the lakorn, he plays Pae Arak’s conniving stepbrother.

“Wonderful Town” wins big at the 18th Suphanahong Awards

Aditya Assarat’s movie“Wonderful Town” took home 5 trophies at the Supanahong Awards (Thai Oscars) a few hours ago held at the Thailand Culture Centre, a big win for the Indie flick. Other than vaguely reading about it at Wise Kwai’s Thai movie Blog, I have never seen the film. I might have to hunt it down. From what I gathered from reading Nathan Lee’s NY Times review and random sites about the film, it’s a depressing love story about a female housekeeper Na (Anchalee Saisoontorn ) and a handsome young architect Ton (Supphasit Kansen) set in the tsunami ravaged town of Takua Pa, Thailand.
