Young Thai Stars as ANIME characters

At the annual Oishi Cosplay Dance Mania Dance competition today, several young Thai stars dressed up as anime characters for the event’s fashion show. I recognize 8 people: Yuk Songpaisan, Gun “Fluke” Kantathaworn, Taew Nataporn, ‘Ploy’ Patsorn Kongmeesuk, Chat Priayachat, Nadech “Barry” Kugimiya, “Vill” Wannaros Sonthichai, and Guy Ratchanon. Don’t ask me what characters they are cause I don’t know. To me, they  all look like Sailor Moon characters.

Son and Vill does Image magazine

Image December 2009 issue, love what the girls are wearing, hate the guy leggings. On the cover, we have Son “Yuk” Songpaisan, Kem Rujira in the cream shorts (very cute by the way), actor Jason Young (did you notice his tattoo?), Wannaros“Vill” Sonthichai (I like the pink flower on vine garland around her head, the  chaotic geometrical print dress is very chic, something different), and then Matthew Deane.  The scenery is beautiful, the clothes not so much.

The inside fashion spread–they got Yuk in all sorts of ugly looking swimwear. Not feeling the blue leggings, the blue swim shorts, the white and black jacket, the red hat–I especially hate the red hat! I have no comments on the first pic, I’m just not feeling it.

Pol Tanthasatien returns as a villain

[Pol, Son and Grand]

Remember Pol Tanthasatien, that Chinese looking Thai guy who is probably part Chinese, who usually portrayed Thai-Chinese millionaires in popular lakorns back in the late 90s. Yea, he’s back. Of course, not as a pra’ek, dude is old and we, lakorn watchers, are vain and shallow. I’m not ashamed to say that. Actually, I’m just joking. He is back though, AS a villain. DUM DUM DUMMMMMMMMMm!

Pol will be taking on the villain role in that lakorn with the longest title ever, ” Yak Yoot Tawan Wai Tee Plai Fah (Yearning to stop the sunset at the horizon or Yearning to stop time, อยากหยุดตะวันไว้ที่ปลายฟ้า)”, a remake of “Mam” Katreeya McIntosh and Tang Saksit’s 1995 lakorn going by the same name. The modernized version will star Son “Yuk” Songpaisan and singer “Grand” Phanwarot Duaysianklao.

Pol said his role is very villainous, he is portraying a man who sees everyone has his contender, a man who loves no one. Interesting.

“I been away from lakorns for 3 years now to work on my business and to study French cooking. At first, I didn’t read the script. The character I’m playing is Mr. Pon Saratoon. In this lakorn, I’m playing the most villainous character I have ever played in my career, my character loves no one, and only has enemies. There will be some action in this,” said Pol about his new lakorn role.

I swear, they have been delaying this lakorn since October. I remember going to Popcornfor2.com and checking up on the commencement date. First it was October, then it changed to November, then December, January, now it’s February. Originally, I remember 20 episode, then it became 16 episodes, now it’s 50 episodes. I have no idea what’s going on. No doubt, it will change again.

An update on the lakorn for those who understand Thai.

Son likes chineses looking girls

Son ‘Yuk’ Songpaisan doesn’t have a clean image if you consider the rumors surrounding him. He generates rumors with both men and women alike and rarely are they good rumors. In the latest bit, he is courting both Ploy Cherman and Yardthip Ratchpal. Son stated both rumors are false.

With Yardthip, he implied she is too dark for him. A reporter asked Son whether Yardthip matched his type, he relied, “personally, I like a woman who has a light complexion and looks Chinese; however, Yard is pretty too.” Son rarely talks to Yardthip, once in a long time they talk, he denies ever hitting on her.

As for Ploy, she is too old for him.

“I am her fan and she is happy that I am. I have never thought of hitting on her because we are from different generations. To respect each other like siblings would be better.”

Son said Ploy gives great beauty tips on how to care for your skin and face. Okay, that’s what they talk about??

Since Son has a lot of gay rumors, some are wondering  whether he leaked these ‘girl’ rumors to dispel the gay rumors. He denies it.

“That’s not true krab, I have never leaked a rumor, I’m hurt by that. I have done nothing wrong but yet there are rumors circulating around like this. Just like the gay rumors, it’s also not true.”

20th annual TV POOL Party: ARMED FORCE STAR PARTY

I love the concept, I love how Bird Thongchai has a big grin on his face. The theme is commando, military, army, any time of armed force outfit. It’s fun and light; I like this party better than the Siamdara Star Party. Everyone seems happy and enjoying themselves. No force, no obligation. The event was held at the Army Club on Vibhavadi Road yesterday July 1. The event is a taping, it will air on Ch7 July 8th.

Ann Thongprasom and Pancake both won that night.

More pictures from the Siamdara Party Awards

A few more pictures from the event. I have to admit, everyone looked decent, though I am turned off by the fact that 90% of the guys there wore make-up. I’m not a fan of guys with make-up.

Son and Vill, they look so shiny. Gold and Silver. Son needs to lay off the foundation and the light purplish grandma color lipstick, it’s not looking pretty.
