I don’t know but it would be nice if the numbers were like with the Korean ratings. Percentage where they show 2 different ratings, one for Seoul and the other one for nationwide (as in the rest of Korea combine)… My mom is a Ch7 fan, I am a Ch3 fan. I am assuming Ch7 appeals more to what the rest of Thailand wants to see compare to Ch3.
Regardless the only lakorn worth watching right now for me is Taddao Bussaya. Even if it had a rating of 2, it doesn’t effect Por and Punch ability to act. They’re doing a good job. I am a huge Anne fan but let’s just say I am not too happy with Chaleuy Suk. But from what I heard, it has gotten better (by the way I am not talking about ratings here)

OMG…TAddao Bussaya broke the 2 digits. Way to go Por and Punch. I love this couple and storyline. The acting was good too. I’m so glad. I hope it continues to do well. It’s the only lakorn I watch at the moment.

That’s so true. A lot of ch3 viewers live in the city, while the rest watch ch7. It’s also how we’re brought up too, when I was little, we’d just watch ch7 all day and rarely ever change channels. And when I do..someone would yelled at me for changing the channel, even if it was during commercials -o-.

Oh I see. I’ve never known about it before. Anyway,I do have a lot of problems with ch3 signal all over Thailand when it never happen to ch7 no matter where I go.
Then I think it might be because of the market or fanbase.They maybe different ones. Ch3 gets more city people then if we judge on the lakorn genre that make a big hit. Ch3’s Khunnu Chantana seems to be not really one for city people. And most of Thai viewers are not city people. Yeah, they’r minority compare to the whole country. What I notice is also that most people who can afford internet are ch3 fans. The international ones too but they’re not counted. So ch7 has got wider fanbase. I think that’s the reason why.

That’s not the reason why. That’s the reason ch3 fans use in the great debates between ch3 and ch7. It’s always the same thing. They always say it’s the signal when it’s not. Because if you look at the lakorns before the evening news, sometimes ch3 gets even MORE ratings than ch7 (Like Khunnu Chantana) Even right now, they’re on par. On weekends, ch7’s pre-primetime lakorns go down as low as 6-7, while ch3 stays on the 11’s. So no, it’s not because of the signal. Unless the signals decide to go bad right when primtime lakorns starts airing. It’s just that there are more selections (like ch5’s). It’s just that ch3 has problems with retentions.
